Whoever decided to cast Christopher Lloyd as Hutch's dad has my utmost respect. We literally had Doc Brown carrying machine guns, I literally couldn't ask for anything more.
Some fun facts, the tattoo was of poker cards, specifically the worst hand you can get on poker and it means that he survived when all odds were against him, which is why the old guy was afraid of him. Also this movie save bob odinkirks life, he had a heart attack while filming better call saul but because of the training he did for this movie and getting fit he was able to survive the heart attack, so in a sence "Nobody" helped bob odinkirk survive a heart attack
y love this , i do wonder tho , he used the knife on the guys leg , how did he have it when returning to the bus ? must have had his own but they never show it.
I've also heard it interpreted that if someone bearing this hand showed up on your doorstep, you had been dealt the hand. Either way, he is not to be f*cked with.
Unlike any other movie I've watched in the last decade or so, this has so many interesting layers that I love to explore upon re-watch. For someone like me who has pretty much given up on cinema completely in the modern era, that's high praise indeed.
There are plenty of films out there, you just need to lower your "standards" and NOT GIVE UP like that, smh And you say "high praise" like you're someone important...😅
I *LOVE* this movie. I love the idea of this unassuming family man being the person that even the best of the best are terrified of. The casting for this is simply top tier excellence.
The chair throw at the guy in the hospital bed is what got me to watch this movie. I saw a clip and I was like “I gotta see this.” I was not disappointed either. Awesome movie.
The actor playing his father-in-law is Michael Ironside. He is the original voice of Sam Fisher, from Splinter Cell. It's always nice to hear his voice and see him on screen.
Imagine seeing Bob Odenkirk go from the fast-talking criminal lawyer Saul Goodman to a badass ex-hitman who punches more than he talks. He definitely had a blast with this role.
Same writer as John Wick. He wrote this script first. This is basically set in the John Wick universe, but there wont be a crossover because the films were made by different studios. Personally, this is my favorite of the John Wick universe movies.
The movies were actually produced by the same company and only distributed by separate studios. The reason for no crossover was that the writers and producers said they could never come up with a satisfactory reason for one. They thought the closest would be to have the main characters simply pass by each other and nod in recognition. But still felt even that would not be good enough.
I love that fight scene on the bus. Sure, Hutch is experienced in combat and causes some serious damage, but it doesn't mean his opponents won't get some hits in as well.
So glad you’re doing this movie, think it flew under the radar a little, but it’s a gem, love the music in it too, great videos guys, keep it up! THE GOD DAMN KITTY CAT BRACELET!
This movie use pretty realistic fighting scenes while keeping them entertaining. Especially the bus scene, from the protagonists using all he has, the environment, the weapons, the punches and the decisions make this movie unlike any others. Even john wick doesn’t do his action like that. I only realize that after watching a breakdown of the scenes. A true masterpiece of action.
The only thing that is unrealistic is the "wound repair", because he sustains a lot of wounds within a few days and wounds from the early fights would have hindered his fighting ability in the later fights. The knife he got into the side would have had major issues for his movement.
Basically it’s like John Wick only except he’s seeking vengeance against a group of thieves that stole his daughter’s Kitty Cat Bracelet. Even what’s more crazy that the director of this movie also directed the first person film, "Hardcore Henry".
Man, I loved Hardcore Henry. Super underrated gem imo. I'm still hoping we can get some sort of continuation of that world, but it's extremely unlikely. Same with Upgrade and even Nobody due to Odenkirk's heart issues now. Though a Nobody 2 is way more likely.
Probably my favorite shot in the film is after flipping the car during the car chase, he sits up and makes this intense silent snarl. It’s one of the first times in the movie you truly see him emoting, as if violence is the only time he feels himslef
I love this movie so much. He's probably the only man in history to truly talk someone to death 🤣. But, you're completely right about the wife being refreshing in character from the norm, and I add his father to that pile. He wasn't written as a feeble old man who would wet himself to distract then have his son pop out, he handled his business. To me, the seriousness blended with the over the top was the writer taking us into his feelings. He was down, mid-life, we feel his bog. And as he pressed on despite the seriousness, we felt his giddiness about old times and having the feeling back of basically being a cleaner. He made sure he had messes to clean up and have done with. He risked a lot doing so, but now he knows how sharp he still is, how much his family life can take, and how good his crew is if he needs them. This movie is a buy. Recommendation: A Paul Walker movie titled Running Scared
Honestly, if I found out my husband did all that, I can't say I would be very happy. "Um honey, we're going to church!" I know it's just a movie though😂
20:50 the way Yulian threw that chair forward towards the guy's head lying down on his bed, that really hurts alot and is painful getting a wake up call.
This movie was a pleasant surprise. That bus scene was amazing, especially since he was taking damage as well. Idk it's just more believable to me than the OP invincible machine that can't be killed or injured.
i feel a breaking bad bad and better call saul reaction era of the channel is inevitable since both are regarded as probably the best piece of television ever.
Fun fact: Tobey Maguire who played Spider-Man including the popular No Way Home is a executive producer in this film before No Way Home reveal the iconic scene
Fun fact! You're going to see at least three people list the same "fun facts" about this move that everyone already knows because it's listed on every reaction channel with this movie.
The first guy to get on the buss(the dude that gets beaten with a chair in the hospital) is the stunt man who trained him to get in shape and how to properly do the buss scene. Probably other scenes too.😊
Oh, the sketch show Odenkirk headlined with David Cross ("Mr Show w/ Bob & Dave") is absolutely hilarious and is some reaction-worthy material on its own.
In JOHN WICK it was all about a dog. The first movie began with a dog being illed and ends with another dog being adopted. But in between the protagonist's ability to evade being killed became so farfetched midway into the movie that it was laughably ridiculous from then on. in NOBODY we see what seems to be a direct response to JOHN WICK by being all about a cat. It begins with a lost kittykat bracelet and ends with the adoption of a stray cat. About the same number of people are killed in both movies, but the big difference is that NOBODY is actually believable.
You guys should check out die hard sequels, they're awesome actions films if you liked the first one you'll like them. Except for 5 you don't need to see that one
You guys need to look up Mr. Show with Bob and David. I've known Odenkirk as a comedian since 1991, and it's such a thrill to see him become THIS!! He used to write for Saturday Night Live in the late 80's and early 90's! Then he went on to a very little known show called, "The Ben Stiller Show"! He co-hosted Mr. Show. Also starred Tom Kenny (Spongebob Sqaurepants ), Jack Black, Sarah Silverman, etc...
When I was watching this movie and there was this line "I'm not going to save your white ass anymore" I was wondering what it was going to be about. And then when RZA's character drove in, I burst out laughing all over the house
I had to work hard on my willing suspension of disbelief with this movie, but it was worthwhile! Claymore mines and rifle bullets are more destructive than in this movie. Cars generate massive amounts of kinetic energy compared to shotgun blasts.
As an aside, and because it makes the whole thing that much more enjoyable, Yulian wasn't wrong when he said Teddy getting his ass kicked on the bus was about the Obshak. As far as the people in his circles are concerned, somebody just attempted one hell of a brutal hit on his younger brother. So if he can't immediately and very publicly deal with whoever was responsible, that means he's not the kind of person they want to trust with all that money. He couldn't just let things go any more than Hutch could, just for different reasons.
11:56 unsuited 2 & 7, worst hand you can be dealt in poker and from what I've heard - a military tat which means a person has survived missions against impossible odds. Hence why the guy says 'thank you for your service.' And also means - I'm the worst thing you're ever going to deal with.
They always do wives dirty in other films like a woman would prefer to have an argument in a life threatening situation than to prioritise safety this film portrayed the relationship realistically in my opinion
When a former ultra-elite, top-tier special forces operative and assassin, who is highly skilled, intelligent, smart, lethal, dangerous, and feared, is trying to live a quiet and peaceful life to be free from the violence and death. But if anyone, who are stupid morons, try to mess with him and his quiet and peaceful life, they better not wake up Death within him, because he will make their life a living hell.
The tattoo is a 7-2 suit worse hand you can be dealt in poker. Lowest numbers and are not coordinated. It is in reference to Hutch's work as an assassin. He is the 7-2 suit, the worst hand for you to be dealt.
He didn't need the money--that painting he took was a Van Gogh worth 8-figures. For perspective, Hutch would have to carry something like 400+lbs of $100 bills to equal that painting.
1. GREAT REACTION. 2. Getting a Straight Razor Shave is illegal in most states. I've had ONE and it was fantastic. Also there is an after credits with Pops and the Brother
Not gonna lie, if someone openly dumped out his gun’s bullets like that and declared his intentions to mess me up without the gun, I would NOT be laughing at that. I’d believe him.
I don't get why, when they thought he was a normal guy, thought he was a coward for not attacking the intruder WITH A GUN! When you and your family are being threatened by a person with a gun, you don't fight them, expecting no one to get shot.
You should look into the 1973 western *_"My Name is Nobody"_* ... with Terence Hill and Henry Fonda. It is also "kinda unique" in its story (and a certain kind of humorous).
Hey guys wanted to know whether you will be continuing the Scream movie reactions ? And also would you guys be interested in watching some bollywood movies ? I recommend '3 Idiots' and 'My Name is Khan'. Will love to see your reactions to it.✨️

Ya'll should know the brother of Hutch is played by RZA. LMAO.
@@fettel1988 I have always hated when movies have people handle fake/empty luggages in movies for example ... and it is the same for these guns.
100%. I already liked this movie, and then when Christopher Lloyd started offing people while cackling the movie became god tier.
It's actually Bob's idea, but I don't know how to respect him even more than I did....

There is a name for those cards. 8's over aces is popularly called "the dead man's hand," and a hand with those cards is referred to as "the hammer."

Indeed! Also a staple for cinematic villains, especially during the 1980s.
@@BloodylocksBathory My friend have a saying from MST 3000 "If it's Michel Ironsides...were dead."
Bob Odenkirk was awesome as Hutch. But really, the guy can do no wrong when it comes to roles, espcecially Saul Goodman.

That painting he took before he burned the obshak is 1 of 3 valued at about 1.5 million.
John Wick has a midlife crisis is the most accurate description of this movie I can think of
