Great drive by both of you yesterday. That pressure was heavy at the end and you kept your cool. Just kept thinking how proud your grandfather would be. From the shed to beating the Stig.👏
Been playing the map since it came out and it's unbelievably fun racing with friends through traffic especially in vr. They need to add back the parking area by the highway if they haven't yet. It was where everyone could hangout better
Such a shame you couldn't drive the Midnight Wolf Countach 'round there! I'm recommissioning a two-wheeled slice of JDM street racing history at the moment. A 1989 Honda CBR400-RR 'Tri-Arm'. I keep picturing riding it 'round those Tokyo streets... when I should be preparing to take it on narrow Welsh mountain roads.
Hey Jimmy, make sure you do map indicators and flash lights etc, as well as being part of the rules for the servers its also part of the mod itself. You can flash a car to challenge it and they have to flash back to accept and then the server will time a race for you!
IMO this mod properly represents a lot of what car culture is about. The way that cars, no matter what make/model they are, just bring people together and give them a sense of enjoyment or fulfilment. There might not be any contact/conversation with someone in a different car but in a certain way you feel like you've known them for a long time, as in the end we're all very similar; a bunch of people that grew up around cars, found their passion, and just enjoy the experience of being out on the open road.

now we just need 3d sound mics (can only hear someone close to you - you could also have in car radio mics, but you can already use discord for that) and the ability to pull up next to someone, wind your windows down, wave with hand tracking and chat away. then its a true car meet. i mean, you already can use motion controllers to wave i think, i saw a video where someone had that in csp 0.1.79. and with vr you could see eachothers head movements, where they are looking, whether they are nodding etc. you can also just stand up and walk around in your room to look at the cars in vr, but having movement bound to the thumbstick too would be great. and with hand tracking you could use the in car radio, see your hands accurately using the wheel, use the virtual wipers, headlights, hazards or indicators in the car instead of button presses etc.
The feeling of knowing the person in the other car is something that happens too irl when you race someone random while driving. I appreciate and cherrish all the people that have raced with me on late hours of the night with the road only to ourselves

@@misorodzinak8829 Forza was kinda doing that in the first Horizon, but it all went downfall and in every next FH edition you feel much less attachment to your cars and playing with other people is not as climatic as before. The Dreamcast one of the best early racing games in my experience, which is exactly this. Shutoko Battle 2 (JP) / Tokyo Highway Challenge 2 (EU) / Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 (US) was just about driving around the Shutoko highway in Tokyo. It had all the tuning like NFS and then you just roamed a 1:1 version of the Shutoko Highway system. I think it says it has 160 km of highway to just roam about during the night against other cars. To me this mod is a remake of this game, because I grew up with that game. Of course this mod, just the Tokyo Highway Challenge, is based on the real racers during the 90s.

See I am an iRacer, and didn't really care much for ACC, but I gotta say, these AC mods are mental. Very cool stuff out there if you're just looking for a nice drive in some of your favorite cars. Well done by the team to allow such creations. From driving the mountain side to actually ripping it through the highways of Tokyo. Just rad
If you get a hold of Assetto Corsa Content Manager, you can have such a blast in this game, and the community has made so many random little cars. Best fun I ever had was my mate and I (Aussies) racing his IRL Toyota Yaris model around Bathurst. It's not fast by any stretch of the imagination, but it's such a different experience that no other game really meets.
I play a lot of wangan midnight maximum tune 2 when I can, but having a cabinet makes it impossible to share the drive with other people, and places with multiple cabinets of the newer games are a bit of a journey away to say the least. Being able to play this mod online with others is a phenomenal way to experience the Tokyo highways.
the r31 skyline is my favorite car to drive on the SRP servers, unless I'm playing a slow-car map in which case the stock r32 gtr is truly a delight to the senses
Really hope to see even more players coming to the SRP Server! Even without "real" gameplay other than the driving itself, the community makes it so worthwile and makes me come back day by day for years now.
I've been enjoying SRP for a long time. My *only* complaint, is that some of the cars (like the NSX) have really tiny gear shifter and handbrake in VR, it's not 1:1 scale like the Vanilla AC car interiors are. Not all of the custom cars, but some. You can see for yourself by getting into any NSX in VR and then looking at the gear shifter and the hand brake. They look super tiny, like half the size they should be.
It really is unbelievable how far AC has come because of skilled people that spend their free time on stuff to make AC better. It's kinda laughable how basic Kunos has developed AC feature wise back then xD
Id like to think it was my twitch message that brought you to this lol. Its such a vibe kind of mod. I have spent hours just blasting through the road with a shelby cobra, not racing anyone just driving. Its wonderful

Well done to all of the team 87 praga team :D
Respect the midnight club 2 menu ost
its like the gta tuners update
only in good
See I am an iRacer, and didn't really care much for ACC, but I gotta say, these AC mods are mental.
@@asinineintentions7773 noted brother. I guess I shall dabble a bit into something different.
This mod and community is great. I first got the mod back in March 2019, and I've had some of my best sim racing memories on their servers
the r31 skyline is my favorite car to drive on the SRP servers, unless I'm playing a slow-car map in which case the stock r32 gtr is truly a delight to the senses
I barely got around to properly installing this a few days ago, super fun. The traffic makes it one of the best bits of content in sim racing
Must've spend hundreds of hours on this mod during the pandemic it was so much fun.
So awesome video❤. Full of emotions. I have this the same way. Love for JDM, car culture, IDLERS, RWB....I am just loving it ❤❤❤. Thx Jimmer.
It really is unbelievable how far AC has come because of skilled people that spend their free time on stuff to make AC better. It's kinda laughable how basic Kunos has developed AC feature wise back then xD
This was just joyful to watch because of the sheer joy you were experiencing while making the video, Jimmer :) Nice one, looks cool AF.
Id like to think it was my twitch message that brought you to this lol. Its such a vibe kind of mod. I have spent hours just blasting through the road with a shelby cobra, not racing anyone just driving. Its wonderful
