      Last time I ran out I was so terrified of having a siezure and I was full on tripping hallucinations that would have been nice if not for the hell. I was afraid to move my thoughts if that makes sense. One way to make yourself meditate. Maybe we are meant to suffer to raise ourselves up a level in consciousness. Meditation is preparation for the worst day of your life so getting seriously into intense meditation might help. This would certainly motivate you to control your consciousness. Just throwing that out there. Doing this while trying to earn a living is challenging. Heroin addicts can get on methadone but where's our help for something far worse. Our only sin was to be born into traumatic circumstances

If you have no game then smoke weed and get a lap dance at your local strip club and pour out your soul to a stripper it's basically the same thing as a psychologist except it's way cheaper and leaving with an erection is expected chances are they'll tell you about their life and it might actually make you feel better about your own. I took 0.5 mg Xanax retard twice daily for 18 months because of constant nervous breakdowns. (family problems) The doctor said I could just skip the dose, the amount was so microscopic that I wouldn't even notice. Cold turkey almost killed me. Finally I reduced it by 0.1 mg every 3-4 weeks. I'm free for 6 weeks now, but it's been hell and still is and I'm still mostly unable to work. 24 hour headaches, circulatory problems, heart problems,bone pain, rheumatism, without the beta blocker I would already be dead. I'm suffering from extreme heat and restlessness, night mare + night terror, as well as low and high blood pressure, brain fog, panic attacks that I didn't have before and depression. All my teeth hurt and my stomach is bloated like a pregnant woman. My skin is dry and in a horrible condition.I have aged years in these months. I look like a drug junkie . Driving my car is out of question. Social isolation, no understanding from anyone. Nausea and weight gain. Flu symptoms that won't stop.No energy at all. All new symptoms that I didn't have before. Weakness, joint pains, headaches, insomnia, ringing in ears, still some anxiety to name a few and I get up and do things every day, I know there are people who can't get out of bed nearly a year. It seems like the average duration is 3 years, in some cases longer. 2-4 weeks would be a cakewalk.

    Completely wrong and dangerous statement. It will make people think that "3 to 4 weeks" of unreal pain will get them trough it. Not even in 3 or 4 months if the patient goes cold turkey.
    The only way to quit benzodiazepines is to reduce your daily intake very slowly each 20 days to a month over a very long time, which can be a year.
    The addictive power of xanax is gigantic, and the pain of accute whithdrawal symptom is not even fathomable.
    The side effects caused by long term use of benzodiapines (months or years instead of the "safe" 2 to 4 weeks max) are in most cases unavoidable, and wont go away, we are taliking about cognitive losses and early dementia in the worst cases.
    Any medical professional or rehab center that go the easy and fast way with xanax detox is a danger to the patient.

      When I came off klonopin it lasted months and the acute withdrawal lasted over a year. I barely got more than a couple hours sleep after the actual withdrawal was over. I'm still not normal. I feel like I'll never be the same again. My doctor just started me on gabapentin for my nerve pain and it's helping a little. It effects some of the same chemicals benzos do but not on the same level. Hopefully I'll be normal one day.

    Ok so i was on two doses a day of .5 mg each so one mg a day for almost a year then when my ex had a mental breakdown and ended up eventually disappearing on me without explanation and the pain threw me into a downward spiral and I doubled my dose in February of this year and ended up tapering down in march by the mid March i was completely off of Xanax. Im deeply depressed about my ex and have been the whole time since she left and that plus the withdrawal driven depression added on top of it its been too much grief to process some days and I have been having serious panic attacks but tonight was one of the worse ones yet so i decided to take 1mg after almost 6 months after tapering down to zero xanax did i just restart the whole withdrawals process? Or am I gonna just gonna have to stay on the track of not taking any at all after the 24 hours it sits in my system and expect that my withdrawal period wont be substantially increased?

    • @BocaRecoveryCenter
      @BocaRecoveryCenter  Год назад

      Taking Xanax during the withdrawal process can prolong the side effects and symptoms, and can open you up to re-establishing addicted behavior and usage. The best course of action would be to completely abstain from Xanax use from an addiction standpoint, but if these were prescribed it would be best practice to speak with the medical professional that prescribed them to you.
      We recommend reaching out for help when battling through these moments, you can always call us for support at (800) 516-4357.

So when I quit after doing it daily, I do feel withdrawals, but they are not severe, nausea and such, I hate it, but, like I said in my post, depends on the dose and how often for how long.
