I must strongly disagree. The Vampire Chronicles paved the way for the vampire-themed literature of 21st century and not only that-it was the cause of Gothic subculture. There are two movies and a musical based on Anne Rice's books, it was the first big commercial success of a vampire book (after Dracula of course). What I find amusing is that Damon in The Vampire Chronicles series literally compliments Anne Rice, so the influence is undoubtable.
As for the Stefan vs Edward question, Edward would win. *Easily.* Any Twilight vampire would win - they're just that much more powerful with way less weaknesses. All Edward needs to do is bring some vervain and Stefan would be helpless. And Stefan can't even stake him. If we're talking about fighting ability / practise, Stefan has more of that - more fight oriented - if they were both the same "type" of vampire (i.e. both the VD version or both the Twilight version) then Stefan would win. But if not, then any Twilight vampire would win.
+Vousie V maybe you dont know anything about tvd cause the vervain just burn the vampire skin but it doesnt make them helpless and edward is not a vampire he is a fucking fairy and tvd vamps are way more stronger they dont just throw their enemies around and the plot of tvd is way more realistic than twilight
Vousie V plus the twilight vampires can die easily you just snap there neck in the vampire diaries the snap there neck all the time and and there still alive and to kill them you have to stake them
"Vervain only burns their skin but doesn't make them helpless" Well I seem to recall multiple vampires tied up with vervain soaked ropes. Even though they'd easily be strong enough to break through the ropes normally. Also, Twilight vampires had a habit of throwing/stopping cars (remember the bit with Riley's gang, where they piled cars on top of each other?) Last I checked, cars are a lot heavier than people... Doesn't matter about the plot - what we're talking about here is which one would win in a fight.
As for the snapping their necks, which scene did that happen in? I remember from the books, they'd tear them limb from limb, then the limbs would *crawl back together* (see the fight with Victoria). In the movies, they went with "beheading is all that's needed", probably because they didn't want an R rating. And you can't stake a Twilight vampire. Skin as strong as marble, remember? Wood would shatter.
twilight doesn't reach to the heart it's just so unrealistic idk how Bella can't be afraid of Edward when he is a vampire. Elena reaction was more realistic and vampires shouldn't be as glamorous and sparkle in the sun and shouldn't eat. They are suppose to be monsters not a 8 year old movie.
