    Good to see your fine Dodge! I had an '88 D150 some years ago that looked nearly identical to yours. I've had an '82 D150 with slant 6 and 4 sp. for about 5 years. Cosmetically not so great. I had to replace the radiator two years ago. At the time it seemed that all slant 6 six truck radiators had disappeared. I got lucky and found an old unused aftermarket one from when they were still copper core. I would have gotten the original repaired, but there are no remaining rad shops in my area. I suppose that decades of plastic and aluminum oem radiators did that.

    You can probably also use a metal clip that slides on the radiator tabs. We used to call them J clips that might not be the proper name though. Great video. I have a question, I have a 87 W150 with the 360 and I was living in the south and had no issues but drove across country to Utah and my vehicle had zero power pulling those mountain rounds through Colorado and Wyoming. Anyone have this issue? Now it can barely pull hills in utah.

    • @JasonExplainsThings
      @JasonExplainsThings  Год назад

      If I’m not mistaken it could be the jetting of your carburetor.

    • @stevespencer2191
      @stevespencer2191 Год назад

      I was in the Colorado Rockies a few years ago, around 8 to 10,000 ft with my 4-wheeler and the carburetor had to be adjusted in light of the lower amounts of oxygen in the air. I'm just wondering if it might be something similar for ur truck. Just a thought...

I dont want to have to spend money on it but hey no such thing as maintenance free

    • @JasonExplainsThings

      We got all the way up to 115 last year. No hot days since I installed this yet. But so far so good. Functions perfectly and it makes the engine bay look pretty rad.

      @@JasonExplainsThings I will have to def think about it money is right given the fact everything has doubled and tripled in price but I'm going down on my clutch after work tomorrow and after that I've got my eyes dead set on my suspension but everything from rock Auto plus shipping is going to be 450 but I plan on getting the bigger springs to raise the front of the truck more but it sucks being an adult I miss high school staying up super late playing video games and driving the old dodge to school next to all the other cool rust in free parking.
