This strategy actually got me through Normal difficulty. On Hard one though, she seems to outrun me every single time. It made me mad so much I wanted to go offensive, but then I remembered that Senpai can't use objects to defend himself.

The friend made it out alive. This good ending is not what happens when playing as the Protagonist however. I don't often see a non-canon good ending.

I agree with the description. Sure she moves really fast and you can't see her well in Yangire mode but in Yandere mode she can slow and poison you.
Poison is dangerous because if you hit by that, game over. :(

@@pika3207 It lasts for until you die or find medicine for it. But medicine is rare so it's best to try and avoid it all together. Especially since it may in some rare cases also be poisoned.
Edit: I can't remember if the gas actually works like this or not, but I at least know poisoned medicine will have that effect.

Then maybe if you go to the office, you get poisoned, but can you enter the code in time and escape before you die? If you need power first, can you steal any keys from her after getting poisoned? Maybe make it to the cafeteria for antidote?

I find it interesting here is the subtitles for her dialogue which at the beginning when she seems to be friendly, it's purple, but when she goes into scary yandere mode, it turns red and looks like it's dripping blood like in the other modes.
Red indicates danger and you must run. :)

So... What IS the idea behind yandere mode?
You enter the building to get the key to leave?
If you follow her and listen to what she says it kind of acts as a tutorial.
Its a prelude to the normal mode. But you can guide senpai’s friend to a good future (him escaping and calling the police) rather than a predestined future (death at saiko’s hands)
You play as senpai friend that come back to find where's the disappeared senpai, and realize that psycho girl abduct senpai, then try to escape from school to call police
Aaaaahhh so you play Senpai's friend in that mode, that's why she is way more hellbent on killing you compared to Normal and Difficult

Their should be an alternative ending in normal if you escape alive in this mode, one where senpai won't be just trying to escape but one where you collect specific items around the school to help suppress her other side and have the final scene of where saiko tries to run away when she's sane thinking it's her fault she hurt him but trips and senpai reaches out to help her up, screen goes black and says 'best ending' and slowly fades to white before going to the title screen but with a different image of the backs of senpai and saiko sitting on a bench with saiko resting her head in senpai's shoulder with the sun setting behind them
Dev is updating the game and he is already adding so many things. :))
