Nice, I'm going to try this. I haven't come across the Hatari index before. I've had best results with excess green - excess red 3G -2.4R -B though my use case is just distinguishing any plant from bare ground. Your method seems to handle shadows better.

The hatari index was made up from the observations. It works... however we are not clear about the physical background
