no disrespect but I think that's peobably the only song I like by Dimmu Borgir.
Most of their songs I have a hard time taking seriously but I chock that up to having an elitist BM hubs who has teased me relentlessly about my addiction to 2nd nd 3rd wave black metal in addition to my addiction to nightwish whilst maintaining a deep seeded love for Burzum and Mayhem etc.
I'm such a odd duck. I never fit in anywhere hahaha

Kel's face at Mourning pallace 👏🥰😍❤... exactly my face back in 1998, when I was thrown into that Song for the First time. And still today mourning pallace remains one of my favorites ever. Thanks for your reaction ❤🥰 Another great one fromt that record ( enthrone darkness triumphant) would be 'In Death's embrace' , and from later on that long lists of songs by dimmu borgir 'reptile'.

Oh ! amazing Dimmu Borgir, nice step into symphonic black metal. Sadly, the first time i was introduced to this band, i wasnt ready for black metal at all, so i never followed them closely. Dimmu Borgir (/ˌdɪmuː ˈbɔːrɡɪər/) is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band from Oslo, Norway, formed in 1993. The name is derived from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means "dark cities" or "dark castles/fortresses" in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse.

  • @rooi77

The first song is from a concert in Oslo in 2011, and was the first they did with live orcestra and choir. The whole concert was on youtube, but i think it`s removed. You still can find more songs. The orchestra is the norwegian national broad caster own in house orchestra, and the concert has been on tv a couple of times. Since the orchestra is public funded they have a slogan "to build bridges betwen musical geners and generations". There was also a behind the scene clip that Kel would love, wher the band and orchestra talkt abaot the project and how a orchestra should be used more for this type of music.

I love this reaction! It was genuine and you can clearly see you guys love DM. It's refreshing to see new people getting into symphonic black metal. At home I'm the metal head and there's no way I can get my husband into Dimmu Borgir. A few years ago I did manage to turn him into a fan of Iron Maiden and Rammstein and we even went to see them live but it seems Dimmu Borgir is a bit too much for him lol.
In case you don't have it, give yourselves a present and buy the Forces Of The Northern Light dvd or blueray. It includes the Oslo concert and the one of Wacken. It's a treat!

Carach Angren - "The Funerary Dirge of a Violinist" or "Bitte Tötet Mich".
They are a dutch symphonic black metal band. Both songs are from the same album which is a concept album about tragic/brutal stories of war.
The first one is more of a ballad and the one with the german title (don't worry, the lyrics are 95% english) is fast-paced and heavy.

    • @The_Pony
      @The_Pony 5 лет назад

Nightwish have never not been good, friend :)
I had actually forgotten about that Playlist, as I had created it a few months before I saw Nightwish, so that my friends who went with me who had never heard them before could be familiar with the songs.
(I should have recorded their reactions at the live show because both of them were mind blown hahaha)
though I have the most soft and nostalgic spot for the older songs like Pharoh Sails To Orion (I first heard it in 2001 via my mother who gave me her copy of Oceanborn), I have to say Nightwish with Floor is just a totally new and amazing dynamic, giving them a new magic. The band looks so much happier these days, too.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Forces of the Northern Night is a "dual-issue" live DVD - one half is from an indoor concert in Oslo Spektrum, the other half is outdoors from Wacken Open Air. Gateways (the first song) is from the Oslo concert, Mourning Palace (the second song) is from Wacken.
Check this page at their label's HQ to confirm it :)

Hi, I just discover your channel today. I don't remember how many reactions I already see from you today. :D
Well as you do reaction of black metal band can I suggest one of them.
The 2 song follow themselves. They are from an album that a lot of black metal fans say "It's a masterpiece of black metal". So I suggest (if you want to try) to listen to the songs :
    # Emperor - Alsvartr (The Oath) - Paul from France
    # Emperor - Ye Entrancemperium - Paul from France.
And after this if you like them, you could try all the album "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk"
    Have a nive day.

Trans Siberian Orchestra is a band/orchestra that was originally called the band Savatage. Y'all will definitely love some of their stuff. The Trans Siberian Orchestra go out and play during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays and are a multi million dollar juggernaut every year just for those 2-3 months that they play.
