- Convicted murderer Billy Ray Turner was sentenced Friday to two 25-year sentences for his convictions in the murder case of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright. Turner is currently serving life in prison for the murder charge.

I'll never understand how the person who hires the killer doesn't get more or the same time as the person who pulled the trigger.
It take a special type of evil to kill for money. No emotion or connection or reason, just money. That said, many mafia bosses that order murders often get much more time.
Pretty simple: they are two different offences.

When there is irrefutable evidence, photos, cctv, dna, etc., than it should be a life for a life, if it’s first degree murder; especially if it was planned. You take a life then you should lose yours.

I don't believe a word of that god nonsense and I still don't believe I want to belong to a society of murderers. Spending the rest of your miserable life in a 6X9 cell, 23 hours a day, seems like a much worse sentence anyway. Either having to live with what you did if you have any shame, or, having all your freedoms taken away, to be controlled in everything you do 24/7, if you don't, would be worse than being put to sleep.
You couldn't pay me to go to the US. You can be put to death simply by going to a grocery store. Or school. Or restaurant. Etc. Country of death.
