- 2. Why on Earth... would 24 Baptists convert to Mormonism, for every ONE Mormon that becomes a Baptist? A sincere Evangelical Christian of 47 years standing...who is seriously considering becoming a Latter Day Saint...tries to explain how this could possibly be!
I'm 16 years old. I've always been interested in religion. I've read up to Mosiah in the Book of Mormon so far and I've researched the theology. I really like what I've come across. I'm considering it seriously as well.
I grew up in the church and love it so much. The Book of Mormon is true and it's important that you gain a personal testimony of it. It will make all the difference. And it will lead you to Jesus Christ and much happiness. If you have any questions, I'm happy to help.
Keep searching, Howard! Intently and humbly ask God if it's all real...his opinion is the only one that matters.
The Church of Jesus Christ is His. Following Christ in LDS is easy. The Book of Mormon & Joseph Smith are gifts from God.
That’s so wonderful Howard!🤩 Are the missionaries teaching you?
Good luck
I'm from Indonesia, and I'm from Baptist church too, and one day I read the book of mormon and decided to joint in LDS church in Semarang City in Indonesia and be baptized on 1999.I'm so thankfull have found the restored gospel in my life.I share my testimony in the name oh Jesus Christ. Amin
Wonderful! Such a blessing for you ❤
@@marlenej7951 Isn't the Restored.Gospel beautiful! You are a pioneer in your family and such a great blessing to them and the Church! Thank you for your testimony❤
The Mormon church is a lie. The Jehovahs witness church is a lie.
God has brought you forth in the latter days to be a beacon until those who have not truly opened their hearts and minds to see the seek the truth of the God’s eternal plan .
I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from 1984-1986. At one point we were teaching a young man in his late teens. This young man did not show up to an appointment with us and we couldn’t find him anywhere. We finally found him the next day and he was acting very strange. He laughed at us uncontrollably and mocked us. He had a look in his eyes that was one of evil and madness. I finally turned to my companion and said “he is possessed by an evil spirit.” My companion ask, “what should we do?” I replied, “rebuke the devil from him.” We rebuked the devil and this young man started laughing. We did it again and then he fell back onto the couch and, shook his head and looked around and asked “where am I?” We talked to him and he told us that some friends had found out he was talking to us and convinced him to go to a evangelical revival. The ministers there put their hands on his head and cast the spirit of Mormonism out of him, that was the last thing he remembered until we cast the devil out of him. I have known that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true and living church organized by Christ since as a teenager I had a witness I can never deny. This incident on my mission only added to my testimony that I am a servant and representative of Christ.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing
Wow! That’s crazy.

We have a more sure word of prophecy in the Bible. Mormonism is a false religion, regardless of what your story says.
Thomas, What a story! Where did you serve your mission, I was 17 in 1981 when I was baptized into the Church in Anchorage, Alaska. I have lived my entire adult life as an active saint and my testimony of the truthfulness of the LDS church is like yours, undeniable! Thanks for sharing!
My mom grew up in a Baptist home. She taught me songs from her church. My dad was LDS but hadn’t gone since he was a boy. They looked at both religions and chose to be LDS. Both were baptized when I was about 3. Mom loved the positive beliefs in their new church compared to a more judgmental outlook in her native religion-her words, not mine. My grandparents about had heart failure that she converted. But as we kids grew up, my grandparents said they loved how we kids were as were grew up in faith and devotion to God. I treasure my Baptist relatives and they treasure us LDS family members. We all love Jesus. It works for us.
@@jodystimm2098 wow! That’s a lot of ways to worship.

@@safrew1 That's how it SHOULD be ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Before becoming LDS my family was active Methodists. My wife had been catholic and later baptist before becoming LDS. I later met her and we have 4 grown active LDS children now. Everything this church teaches moves us from where we are to something more Christlike in every way. No desire to condemn others of different faiths just a desire to respect their beliefs and hope they will desire to know who we are without believing all the misinformation and hostility that can be spread. True investigation before condemnation.
I was raised Southern Baptist with my paternal grandparents, attended Lutheran with my mother every other weekend. I converted to LDS at 28, raised my children LDS, none of which are active today, but all are wonderful people, and the LDS way changed my life for the better. I keep up with antimormon literature since before converting. It is about context. If one doesn't understand the historical cultures, one will always misunderstand the church history. I am grateful to be LDS and will always carry my testimony of Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith, and the truthfulness of the gospel close to my heart. I have a great testimony of how this knowledge is true and has only made life better and easier for me. Good luck in your conversion.
What a wonderful testimony of the Faithfulness of God! Thanks for that!
My kids have swayed in the faith some too…. But I have faith they will return…. The LDS church is a great blessing to us members and nonmembers alike.
@@davidmalvinalexander Hi David. What's your opinion of Pastor Jeff? He claims to build bridges between Evangelicals and LDS, but does he represent Evangelicalism?
@@davidmalvinalexander You asked at the end of the video that we may teach you something. I believe that you have a great understanding already but there is so much more to learn and knowledge is layered like an onion so that those with little experience can understand a concept and those with much experience can understand it deeper.
What I have learned over the years is that we don't criticise other religions or tell them they are wrong. You won't find books by LDS criticising them, nor videos online doing so nor anyone doing so from any pulpit. We are encouraged to live our own religion and let the fruits of the Spirit shine through. I've always tried to defend myself and the Church when I was attacked by Evangelicals but it always turned out ugly. Avoidance is the best thing. We know other religions have some truth and they will be judged how well they lived those truths. We are all Heavenly Father's children and Jesus Christ paid the penalty for everyone's sin, throughout the night in Gethsemane and with his weakened body He endured the pain of the cross before He finished what had to be done and then He gave up His own life, that He may take it up again and show us that he had broken the bands of spiritual death and overcome physical death, and that because of Him we may be free of sin and be resurrected to continue in the next phase of our eternal life.
Another thing is that Evangelicals will get the very Heaven they expected but they will never have it enter into their minds the things that God has prepared for those that love Him...to be joint heirs in all the Father has, to have eternal progression. Congratulations in being baptised and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. satan will try to trip you up but if you fall, repent quickly and keep moving onwards and upwards.
Brother, I was raised Presbyterian. My father's family was of the Jewish faith. The absolute greatest thing I ever did was read and study the Book of Mormon with a sincere heart. It changed my entire life. That was 47 years ago and I've never looked back. The ONE Protestant doctrine that always bothered me was that if you don't accept Jesus Christ in this life, that you'll burn in hell forever. That NEVER made any sense to me. And when I finally learned about "eternal progression" and the Plan of Salvation, the lights came on for me. I'm glad you are studying out in your own mind and heart. God bless you in your faith journey.
thanks so much David! Wonderful testimony!
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Galatians 1:6-8. Read all of Galatians and reconsider. A restored gospel is a different Gospel, and not the correct one. The correct one is in the Bible. And it's Ephesians 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5... which isn't like 2 Nephi 25:23 and Moroni 10:32. Come back to your roots. Read all of Galatians. Read Romans chapters 4 thru 8.
@Christmas Girl I don't think you understand LDS, same gospel 🤔? You think so? So joseph smith is completely unwarranted, cause it's the same, right? Cause I was under the impression that he says that he was told by God, not to join any of the churches, for they are all wrong, their professors in Christ, all corrupt, all our creeds an abomination, etc. Don't you believe that yours is "restored"? That nothing less than a complete "apostasy" occurred? If that's the case, it's not the same. Jesus said that he built his church on Simon Peter, "the rock" and the gates of hell will not prevail, joseph smith comes around talking about how the gates of hell prevailed, "apostasy".
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(Romans 10:1-4)

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
3 Nephi 27
13 Behold I have given unto you my gospel, and this is the gospel which I have given unto you-that I came into the world to do the will of my Father, because my Father sent me.
14 And my Father sent me that I might be lifted up upon the cross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the cross, that I might draw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil-
15 And for this cause have I been lifted up; therefore, according to the power of the Father I will draw all men unto me, that they may be judged according to their works.
@Steel Blaidd as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulchre; With their tongues they have used deceit; The poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. (Romans 3:10-28)
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: There is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Psalm 53:1-3)
The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, There is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, And seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: There is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Psalm 14:1-3)
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. (Luke 18:19)
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (Mark 10:18)
What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. (Romans 4:1-8)
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
(Romans 7:14-21)
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
(Romans 6:14-15)
Left my nondenominational church 3 years ago to join the LDS church and I am so grateful for that decision! I have never felt closer to God or like I had a better understanding of Him until now. Best of luck on your journey to find what church you want to belong to!!
Hallelujah 🙌🏼 Blessed to have you share your words today.
Hey David I grew up in the Christian Reformed Church from the Netherlands, when my Mom died at age ten, right away I asked Dad how were we we going to live forever, he didn’t really know, but I had to Keep going as long as I lived in Dad’s house. When I was 18 I left home and became a wild worldly parting young man, but I didn’t mind talking about religion, and talked with JW, Seventh Day Adventist, Baptist, Pentecostals but none of them had anything more than what I already had UNTIL I ran across The Church of Jesus Christ of later-day Saints, and after a few months of learning, and a confirmation from the Holy Spirit that I cannot deny I joined the church at age 25 and have never looked back, Honestly the best decision I have ever made in my life :)
Love it
What a wonderful testimony! Thanks for that!
Wonderful! My mother dropped her coffee habit like a rock when she received a witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
Joseph drank alcohol and Brigham chewed tobacco I think your mother should have coffee
I guess Paul the apostle was mistaken…
@Paul How did Peter come to know Jesus is the Messiah? It was not revealed to him by "flesh and blood" as Jesus put it, "but my father, which is in heaven." Flesh and blood would be the ideologies and wisdom of man. God revealed the truth to Peter through personal revelation. By the same manner we can know the Book if Mormon is from God. Mathew ch 16 vs 16-17

My family joined the LDS church when I was barely4 years old & was sealed in the DC temple the following year. I don’t remember any of it 44 years later but am still a faithful member as is my daughter & as of 5 years ago now my husband as well. We tragically & violently lost my 20 yr old niece 7 years ago. The only thing that made losing her bearable was knowing we’re all sealed together forever & that we’ll be with her again one day. Good luck in your journey to Christ. No one but yourself can build your testimony, work on it, cultivate it & protect it. Sone days it can be all you have to cling to.
Hi David 😊 I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 21. I didn’t even know if God existed before that. Just after I was baptised I had a witness through the Holy Ghost that God was real and I had just joined His true church. Nearly 30 years later my testimony is even stronger, Christ stands at the head of this church and it holds all the keys to help us gain eternal life with God 🙏 God bless you on your journey

I have been LDS for 60 years. Your sermon on Jesus' intercessory prayer is as good as I have heard. Thanks for your shared faith
Roland...thanks so very much for your encouragement! And your kindness! And your lifelong faithfulness to the Truth!
Yes, John 17, particularly makes it clear to me that Jesus' praying for us to be one with Him and the Father-any Trinitarians out there who dispute that we humans are neither physically one body nor undefined, universe/molecule-filling spiritual essence?-supports the latter-day saint doctrine of the Godhead, and counters the trinity invented with the 312 A.D. (or thereabouts) Nicene Creed.
I was also raised Catholic, then became a born again Christian at the age of 28 in the Assemblies of God Church. I later joined the Evangelical Free Church. I love the Lord with all my heart. When I was in my early 50's I was feeling like things were missing and started praying, asking where He wanted me to be (it's the first time I ever asked HIM that question). He led me to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, where I have been for the last 20 years. I feel that now I have all the puzzle pieces!
This is something that always surprises me abt Christians of other faiths - they bounce around and pick a church that best suits them w/out ever asking God where He wants them. Even Guidepost recently had an article on how to choose a church. They listed a number of ways (I only remember music on the list). Pray for guidance or to seek God’s will wasn’t on the list. I’m so grateful that I’ve been taught to seek God’s will in my life in all things I seek after.
You have been decided as well.
Hi. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I wish you well on your journey. I enjoyed this video very much. One thing I have noticed through the years is that evangelicals and other religions seem to have so much hostility toward us. I am so happy that in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-saints, we do not tear down other faiths. We have general conferance coming up April 1st. I hope you will be watching. What we truly believe will be apparent. Love from a fellow Christian. I admire your knowledge your thoughts on the Gospel.
Thanks very much Alene! I love that about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints also...that they "believe the best" about everybody!...even those who really hardly deserve it! That is one of the signs that Jesus said to look for..."you will know who are truly my disciples by their love"...John 13:33-35, 1 John 4:7-8...etc. and in 1 Corinthians 13...Paul defines love...as "not provoked", but rather "bearing all things, believing all things, hoping all things, enduring all things"...Love...believe the best. But my experience with much (not all, by any means) of Evangelical Christianity...is that often they are very quick to. judge anyone who doesn't agree with their doctrine...and quite sure of themselves...in consigning others to hell. It is shameful, really. I am just glad that these people don't still have the Authority of the State to use...because if they did, I am quite sure the Latter Day Saints...would all be burned at the stake. Thanks much for your encouragement! Keep in touch! Sincerely in Christ, David
Hi Alene, that’s one of the reasons I’m coming back to the church (The Church of Jesus Christ LDS) after years of being inactive and even investigating another churches/faiths. I really like that the LDS church call EVERYONE a “children of God” regardless of their faith; while other churches put so much time and effort on teaching why and how other religions are wrong, etc.

Here the thing though... it's like "man's puny arm trying to stop the Missouri river". You can't stop the Lord's Church. The Holy Spirit testifies of truth. As long as the Lord liveth, the church will continue to grow, at an ever increasing rate. This gives me peace when I hear anti-rhetoric.
I served my mission in North Carolina, certainly Baptist territory. I loved it partly because I was surrounded by good people that loved Jesus. I even admired their opposition often berating me and casting me to hell. The tent revivals and electric guitars where something else! Ultimately the Sprit is peace and reverence. The greatest place on earth to experience that is worshipping in one of our temples.

If people worldwide did this, in very short time we'd end the worst problems of humanity, and in a different short time (variation of time in the Lord's wisdom) I think They would have no choice but start opening us to greater things...maybe get Moses' original revelation before the Ten Commandments back and enter on the same path as the people of Enoch! Kind of work our way backwards back to the Garden of Eden, only mortal and already with the knowledge of good and evil.... Right at the doors of Millennial peace!
Was Baptist, but searching for truth. Found it in the restored Church. There is so much distortion and untruths in the evangelicals I had to go against my parents but I knew it was true. The best thing I've ever done!
That's a wonderful testimony, Jan!
How do you reconcile the early history? I'm LDS and am really struggling. I liked the old church that imagined what heaven was like, that expanded on the theology. That's dead now. I wish it weren't. The latest SEC issue broke my shelf. I will not be sustaining the current presidency.
@@rob8959 Sad to hear, Rob. We need you! The doctrine of Christ and His plan hasn't changed. The 'SEC issue' turned out to be not much of an issue. The investment firm the church used didn't file/report some things correctly, therefore, a fine had to be paid. We didn't file our taxes correctly one year and we had to pay a fine...didn't mean we were bad people or trying to defraud anything.
@@rob8959 the LDS church has problems like all big institutional churches do. Hold fast to Christ. Whether you remain in the LDS church or not, looking to Jesus as your Lord makes you a child of God and by seeking to walk regularly in the Spirit, God will do much good through you.
@@rob8959 Hey I feel your pain brother, many have been troubled by this and other policies. I personally don't find as much issue with the clerical issues with the SEC settlement but there are many other things that concern me but all those concerns are outweighed by many other things. Let me give you this perspective, even as a Bishop, I think we put way to much confidence in church leaders without verifying it with the scriptures and spiritual confirmation. This is one of our idols. This is contrary to what the scriptures teach and what Joseph Smith actually taught. If we see the church fail, get broken apart, and much of it's membership falling away, or rejecting truth it will only prove the the Book of Mormon and the old testament prophecies more true. When the Gentiles (us) reject the fullness of the gospel and pollute the holy church of God, then as Jesus taught, he will remember the covenant that he has made with the House of Israel and take the gospel from us and give it to them with a full restoration of the House of Israel. A remnant of the Gentiles, that accepted the fullness and were not responsible for polluting the church, will be taken out and will be number with the House of Israel. They won't be grafted into us, we will be grafted into them. Like the Jews that were unsatisfied with the Priesthood leadership at the time of Christ were taken as a remnant from Israel into the new Gentile Church this will happen in reverse in our time. I'm getting this from Christ's sermon to the Nephites and Lamanites in 3 Nephi primarily along with other sources. So like the righteous Jews of the New Testament that believed John the Baptist and Christ, stay in the boat and know that a transition from the Gentiles back to the House of Israel is coming and you can be a part of it.
I was in college to become a baptist preacher when I joined THE CHURCH in 1987

Fully restored by 1850. Joseph gave Brigham the mantle of completing the endowment and ceiling ceremonies.
@DELIGHTING IN LDS TRUTH & EXPOSING ANTI-LDS LIES ! I would encourage you to read all of Galatians, as well as Romans Chapters 4-8.. Consider that the "Restored" gospel is not the same in the bible, or joseph smith wouldn't have had to "restore" anything. Also matthew 16 explains that Christ would build his church on Simon Peter and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Joseph smith said there was an apostasy and the gates of hell prevailed. Also Ephesians 2:8-9 and Titus 3:5 is the True Gospel. The perversion of the gospel spoke of in Galatians is 2 Nephi 25:23 and Moroni 10:32. I hope you find your way back to your roots, cause I don't think you will be able to deny yourself of all ungodliness, nor do I think you will be able to do all that you could have done, but good news is Jesus justifies the ungodly (Romans 4:5). My biggest fear for you and the LDS community is Matthew 7:21-23. 😢. Your works cannot save you. Furthermore, they believe in a God before God. They will say, "as man is, God once was, as God is, man may become" so they believe that God used to be a man and became God. Isaiah 43:10 and Isaiah 44:6-8 says that before God no gods were formed, neither would there be after, no gods besides him, he doesn't even know of any other Gods. Also Joseph smith tried to write himself into the bible. My Bible doesn't have Genesis 50:27-38, mine stops at verse 26, as does the Torah, however the LDS bible has it. And that is just scratching the surface. I have more. The reason why people are so quick to believe it, is their faith was weak to begin with, they are the only church that has missionaries knock on your door and tell you that you are wrong... wait let me clarify.. they knock on your door, present the first vision, and they say that Joseph Smith said, that God said, when he was praying about what church to join, to not join any of the churches, cause they are all wrong, all our creeds an abomination, professors are Corrupt. Then they plagiarize matthew 15:8-9. So when you talk to a latter day saint and your not LDS, they believe that you are wrong. Remember ALL creeds and abomination. So all of your faith and belief prior to considering theirs is an abomination. So you never believed in God until you started considering their church, in their eyes. I have prayers that you come home to his Grace and his Grace alone. If you want more, I can do this for days, I'm intimately affiliated with the LDS church and I'm throwing seeds.
Hi. Not sure why your video popped up in my feed but now I’m curious. I sat down to prepare my lesson for my 9&10 yr old class at church and set it down only to find you!!!!
I am a 60 yr old widow. My husband died 7 yrs ago from brain cancer at 60. He was raised Methodist. I Baptist. My mom lost my Dad at a very young age with 4 children. I was the youngest at 6 mnths. She was always bitter & angry at God. She passed at 72 never remarried but worked incredibly hard as a nurse to raise her family.
My husband and family started our journey to find a new church about 20 yrs ago!we found the LDS church or rather it found us! I am proud to say and can openly say today I am a Latter Day Saint. I can’t imagine my life w/o my church family and my ever renewing faith. I wish you well on your journey and will continue to watch. God Bless ✌️
Love the video. You are truly of God's elect who hears his voice. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1983, joined right after high school, and looking back at everything good in my life, I know it's a direct result of my joining the church.
What a wonderful Testimony you have! Any sincere soul, looking for the Tree that bears Good Fruit...should consider your testimony...and make a beeline for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!
I too joined in 83! 40 year anniversary this past February. We are baptism buddies! 😉
Loved your message, so grateful I came across your vids...to those reading this, I too , as a convert of over 20 years, have fought the LDS church off and on for years. I have tried to find Him in many non denominational churches over the years but have not. I love the biblical messages from various pastors and love praise and worship, music I listen to daily. But I have to say that the peace and love from the Savior for me personally and the witness I have received SEVERAL times has only been in the LDS church. I cannot and will not deny these experiences. The Spirit of the Lord has been felt the strongest for me among the Latter Day Saints. I know wonderful Christians who love the Lord but I just can't deny the light that is upon individuals who live the commandments as LDS. There is a real tangible light upon their countenance and I can always pick up on that. I testify of this in His Holy Name, the Holy One of Israel, the King of Kings, the great I AM, the Reedemer of mankind,Jesus the Christ, Amen❤
My mother was brought up with ALL OF HER FAMILY in the Protestant faith. She took us to the Baptist church since my sister was born. My sister at 12 read in the Bible that Jesus' church would have a Prophet and apostles. At 13 she asked the Pastor where "the Apostles were"? The Pastor told her "Oh, we don't need appostles any longer, that that was "just then"; meaning, when Jesus walked the earth. A year later a friend told her about her church, the Mormon church. She told her it had a Prophet called of God, and twelve apostles. When my sister heard this, My 14 year old sister had the missionaries come to our home and my mother grilled and grilled them for months about all of the questions the Baptist church could not answer. Those two "18 year old" missionaries answered "all" of my moms questions....that no pastor had ever been able to answer all of my mom's whole life. After all of us reading the wonderful record of Jesus's "other sheep that are not of this fold" of which He spoke of and is recorded in the Book of Mormon (the progenitors of the American Indians that welcomed Columbus in 1492), I asked the Lord if the Book of Mormon was true and followed the Lords promise in Moroni 10:4 and 5 (Book of Mormon). I was given the answer by the Lord that it was correct. Our family was baptized when I was 10. I went to a Mormon college and met my husband whose whole family also had been baptized just a few years prior. We we came from opposite ends of the United States to the college. We were married in the Oakland Temple and have been married 47 years; have had two children who are active in the Gospel. I am grateful to Deon Antonette Stipac for sending the missionaries to our home when I was nine.....Elders Kennedy and Wallenhop and Sisters Depretis and Crowl for answering my mothers months long grilling of questions!
Grateful you were so blessed!
@dlemmon1276 I would love to meet and talk with your mother she sounds like an amazing and wondering women, how bless you were to be raised by such a loving and god fearing woman.
My dad was always a Baptist. He died, we had our family sealed in the temple, one in proxy for him, and some years later, our bishop then who is very close to the veil, he told us that our Mom and Dad are very happy!! I am jealous….this world 🌎 has given me a hard road. People do not have to accept, but our dad did….he saw!! And he had done good in this world….so much good for our family. All I can say is that I need help and comfort, and guidance from all of the scriptures….and sometimes a push!! Or a warning!! Or a correction!! And if I accept that well, then I am much more comforted and happy, and the Lord is pleased with me. If we seek the Lord early, we will be that much more blessed!! I KNOW THAT!! Early, meaning as soon as you repent, believe and have faith in Christ and the Restored Gospel. Hey, I walked up and accepted the Lord as my Savior….with the Baptist youth!! And it gave me a thrust to know more!! So I got baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Have you been to the temple. President Nelson, in the last general conference said that will help make life easier. It's his talk on overcoming
@@michaeljhuntsman So true!! I struggle with health programs, and not getting enough help and support for them. I cannot drive, so I have to depend on others to get me there. I just need the acceptance, help and emotional and spiritual support to cope. I have a number of health problems.
@@katherinem.4414 You are loved, my dear sister. Just sent a prayer your way. Besides the great temple advice, conference coming up this weekend and, for me, my ideal would be listening to one talk every day. This life is the pits, for sure! I'm so grateful to have the anchor and light of the gospel!
Great Video....I was fortunate about evangelical churches since age 6 but I couldn't understand why we were so disunited, it was shocking. so many churches and so many fights over doctrines and who knows what. I decided to join Hinduism but I ran away due to scary images and finally found myself with the Islamic faith, again i couldn't settle with confusion. My parents being Catholics didn't bother me as i was on my journey to know a better religion for my self. At length about age 15, I told myself that I had had enough with religion and completely continued my life without religion. When I turned 18, I was introduced to LDS church, it was hard, Book of Mormon, Prophets, it was too much but I told myself whether I join Satanism or any religion, I need to be part of something and I chose LDS church, it was interesting to know about the Book of Mormon especially that Jesus Christ returned and visited some people on the American continent. so many prophets, I saw other Books among LDS church and although it has been a long journey, It is the only church which has taught me to appreciate other churches and other religion. My leaders are not perfect but the gospel of Jesus Christ is perfectly taught at LDS Church. Enjoy your journey
Well said
What a journey...well done!
Thank you for your story and faith. I found same thing to be true
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. I too made the choice to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My choice was made several decades ago. I've lived my entire adult life as a Latter-Day Saint. I consider it the wisest, most inspired choice I've ever made. The fruits of my experience have continually proven the truth of the doctrines of this church. When I first sat with the missionaries so many years ago, I really did not want to join a church. I was open to their ideas, but I didn't want religion. At least I thought I didn't. The missionaries said to me, your choice to join the church is between you and God. We are not here to convince you, only to teach what the church is so you can take it before God and find out for yourself. That's exactly what I sincerely did, took it before the Lord to ask if this was where He wanted me to be. I got my answer, joined the church and have never looked back. I served a mission, married in the temple and have served in many callings. It is the Lord's restored church in preparation for his coming. So again, thank you for sharing here and I wish you the very best as you consider becoming a member!
I too was evangelical Christian and read the Book of Mormon and was thoroughly convinced that it was true! I have joined the church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints and have experienced the truth and the lifestyle God needs us to follow to become closer to him and how to understand the living word of God and our purpose in life. And so much more I now have a family of true believers and love
YAY!!! Darlene, Please....record your testimony of your wonderful journey into the Restoration...and send it to me! The world needs to hear it!
Great testimony
I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints twenty years ago in Florida. I am forever grateful to have been a small part in helping people find the gospel of Jesus Christ. They felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost testify to them that Jesus' church has been restored. I am enjoying watching you go through your thoughts on what has felt "wrong" in your past religious experiences and drawing your own conclusions. Pray over every point of doctrine to find your own testimony.
Amen...will do and am doing so!
Preach Brother. You really have helped me understand my faith with so much clarity.
I’ve been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. God restored His true church again on the earth. It is the same church that He set up when He reigned on the earth. We have a prophet and 12 apostles just like Jesus had. The prophet receives revelation to help us through this life. Through temple ordinances, couples may be sealed for time and all eternity and families at be sealed to be a family forever. There is truth and knowledge in His church that keeps us studying daily and teaching is to serve our neighbors. Love your happy attitude. Best wishes in your journey.❤
I was raised Lutheran and later baptized as a Baptist. I loved that they taught from the scriptures, encouraged having a personal relationship with God thru heartfelt prayer, sent missionaries into the world to share Christ's Word, and baptized by full immersion. It was a breath of fresh air, but then some friends taught me about a restoration of Christ's Churh and Gospel. They introduced me to The Book of Mormon, restored priesthood keys, saving Temple Ordinances for the living and ancestors who hadn't had the opportunity, and that all of it was built on the foundation of Christ's principles found in my old Baptist faith. I was sold both spiritually and intellectually. I chose to be baptized in 1992 as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and for the past 31 years, I've been immensely blessed! I work each day to become better and more pure like my Savior, Jesus Christ, but I know my efforts pale in comparison to the Grece found in Christ's atonement. I know the fullness of Christ's Gospel and the oneness He desires for all of Heavenly Father’s children is found in the Latter-day Saint faith, for which I'm eternally grateful and indebted to God for. Thank you, David for your courageous messages and God bless you in all your righteous efforts to share the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. ❤🤙
Edward, that is a beautiful testimony. PLEASE sit down and record your testimony in full and send me a link to download it so I can put it up on my channel! davidmalvinalexander@gmail.com
I love your faith and testimony. I somehow ended up on this video and am better for it. Thank you.
Dan, you are sooooo welcome! Subscribe and hang around and we can learn and move forward together!
People over the years in conversation have asked me what I believed expecting me to say I’m Catholic, or I am Baptist, or XYZ. . . Fill in the blank. My response has always been the same for as long as I can remember. You want to know what I believe? I believe in truth wherever I can find it and as much of it as I can find. Then I pause. It is never the response they were expecting but it begins to set in and make sense to them and the truth of that seams to leave most people open to learn what truth I have found. I think you are on the right track. If God is no respecter of persons then where are the records of the other sheep which are not of this fold that he speaks of in
John 10:16
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Many years ago I found out for myself an answer to that question in The Book of Mormon.
God bless each and every one of us in our lifelong pursuit to seek and find truth, wherever we can find truth and as much of it as we can find.
You haven't trademarked or copyrighted your response have you? ?? May I please have your permission to borrow and share, if so? ;) And if not, stealing it anyway! ;) What an inspired, spectacular response! I absolutely love it! More than made my day! Thank you so much for sharing!
In speaking to the people of Nephites in the BoM during his appearance to them after his resurrection, Jesus Christ said,
"...ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. And they understood me not, for they supposed it had been the Gentiles; for they understood not that the Gentiles should be converted through their preaching...
And they understood me not that...the Gentiles should not at any time hear my voice---that I should manifest myself unto them save it were by the Holy Ghost.
But behold, ye have both heard my voice, and seen me; and ye are my sheep, and ye are numbered among those whom the Father hath given me."
The BoM is truly another Testament of Jesus Christ and a companion witness to the Bible that Jesus truly is the Messiah and the Only Begotten Son of God!
@@thebigsamoan1 Thank you for sharing your testimony, Brother Toiaivao!
All I can say is wow! I am a Latter Day Saint. When I read the Bible I think “How do people NOT SEE IT?” You have been through a lot. You have said things that I have thought for many years. How do people not ask themselves these questions? It baffles me. I hope other will see it too. You are one in tune guy. I pray you stay on this path of thinking. The love of God for his children is unmeasurable and if we know that we WILL ask those questions. You have asked them. You have arrived. I truly believe people just believe what they are told about us and that is the end. Sad. There is so much beauty in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love, Acceptance, patience, charity, confidence through him. God bless you brother. Amazing video. AMAZING! By the way, my father joined when he was in his late 20’s he had these questions and asked God which led him to this church. It’s been a blessing.
have you read the gospel topic essays on the LDS website? have you read the CES letter?
@@questioningcat7949 Yes I have, the CES letter. Written by anonymous 😂 I’ve seen it all. When you finally really get it, you can see passed all of that easily.
@@questioningcat7949 I've also both. Have you read the book of Mormon and the new testament?
@@zobewan9347 are you asking why i believe or are you asking what is the point of life, like why did God create the earth?
@@zobewan9347 thanks for dumbing it down and the sarcasm. Doesn't make me want to hang out. Best of luck to you.
Wow! You have blown my mind. I have let the Holy Spirit testify to me the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Latter-day Saint faith. Your observations and explanations are so crystal clear. Thank you.
Have you considered meeting with missionaries? :)
David…I could not be more thrilled with your videos - (and what a stunning example of the gift of knowledge being used righteously for the benefit of all. ) Some of your other videos made me think that you (possibly/probably) also have the gift of seer (you see that which is hidden to others. ). I feel very strongly that you are a warrior (like Joshua) needed, and prepared by the Lord for this day.
Thank you for what you do …right time, right place, right person. May the Lord bless you and strengthen you.
I was born Catholic. At 7 I went to the nearest Chapel where my family lived because our Mom would make us go to church whatever religion it was. Also had experiences going to other religions until my Sister introduced me to the LDS missionaries. I just felt this is the church that I was looking for after I was taught how to pray, I was 16 then.Right at that moment I knew I belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday saints. I am also grateful for the churches I have gone to, they helped me make the choice to be a member of this church.
Thanks for sharing your testimony! I was also lost and now I’m found. Thank you for sharing your light.
Just this Sunday the former Bishop of my LDS ward here in Florida gave a talk and shared his conversion story. He was born and raised in Rhode Island and is the 8th great grandson of Richard Williams the founder of the First Baptist Church. He mentioned Richard Williams left the Church shortly after because he felt they were missing the authority.
I grew up a member of the Church in Oregon and I guess was such a handful that my Mom sent me and my brother to a Baptist Summer School a couple summers. My mother is buried in that little cemetary there. Of all Evangelical denominations I feel the warmest towards the Baptist. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and though it hasn't been easy, I'm grateful for being raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I wish you well on your faith journey.
That's wonderful! Thanks for sharing that! I wonder if his ancestor is perhaps actually "Roger Williams" rather than "Richard Williams"
I am quite familiar with the story of Roger Williams...the founder of Providence Plantations...which became Rhode Island. One of the most amazing men in history...and the one most responsible for bringing forth the idea that the State...should NOT enforce any matters of conscience, but rather PROTECT freedom of conscience.
Roger Williams also was involved in the founding of the First Baptist Church in Rhode Island...but amazingly, decided that their Baptisms were invalid because they were not administered with proper apostolic authority....and that the True Church had vanished from the earth...and that no true baptisms could even occur...till our Father RESTORED true apostolic authority ...so he consciously decided that he had to become just a "waiter and seeker" and pray...for that to happen! Amazing humility.
Here is a bit from an article about him that I found a while back, in case you are interested....
Roger Williams and eleven friends formed the first Baptist Church in America in Providence, Rhode Island. Ezekiel Holliman was one of them. He baptized Williams by immersion in March 1639. He had followed Williams from the Salem, Massachusetts, church where Williams had briefly taught several years earlier. Williams then proceeded to baptize Holliman and ten other friends.
Shortly after this, however, he came to a most remarkable conclusion. Let’s hear an eyewitness account of what happened:
"I (Richard Scott) walked with him in the Baptists’ way about three or four months, in which time he brake from the society, and declared at large the ground and reasons of it; that their baptism could not be right because it was not administered by an apostle. After that he set upon a way of seeking (with two or three other men that had dissented with him) by way of preaching and praying; and there he continued a year or two, till two of the three had left him. "
Richard Scott explained more of his friend’s thoughts in another personal letter: Williams had come to the conclusion that “there was no regularly constituted church on earth, nor any person authorized to administer any church ordinance, nor could there be, until new apostles should be sent by the Great Head of the church, for whose coming he was seeking.”
Roger Williams’ actions declared what his later words would make abundantly clear: all Christian baptisms were and are invalid, unless apostles, like those of the Jerusalem Church, administered them.
Until that time, Roger Williams would only call himself a “waiter,” or a “seeker.” His was a costly honesty, for his greatest desire was to serve the God he loved so much, and to do so in sweet communion with all other sincere believers. Yet he knew that until true restoration came through the reestablishment of apostolic authority, Christianity was merely an outward form in which, he could not in good conscience take part.
@@davidmalvinalexander Sorry, yes its Roger Williams..I mixed his first name with that of his Great Great Grandfather. Richard was also Baptist but he married a Nazarene and they moved away and attended the Congregational Church. His son made friends with some LDS Boy Scouts and they were impressed with their faith and then left the Congregational Church for the LDS Church. Anyway I'm sure his grandfather is happy one of his grandchildren found the authority to baptize and even became a Bishop.
Grateful that you shared this testimony and information!
David, I love the way you can say it like it is without contention, how you are direct and still have charity and humour, be offended and still not be harsh. This gift, coupled with your hard won knowledge will lead many closer to Christ…which I know is your great desire.
I had to pause to make a comment. I personally have been LDS all my life. I'm 71. Years ago I knew a lady who was a member of the church, a convert who said that her Aunt Came to her in a dream About 3 or 4 months after she died and told her "I've been here all this time and have yet to see the lord Jesus." So She went searching and found the church. And yes she did her aunt's work.
We'll be happy to have you join us! Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Thanks so much! I got baptised and confirmed last Sunday!

Thank you so much for sharing your insights . I only wish I had understood more fully where my brothers and sisters from the baptist church were coming from when I was a young missionary in Toronto 30+ years ago . I really could not understand the fear some members would have of hearing the message I wanted to share . I was totally shocked at the way I was being portrayed by some Christian tracks I came across . What ever you decide to do , I know that you will be led by God and I wish you well :)
I really enjoyed this. I felt The Spirit very strongly through most of it. I Love the New Testament...
And when he said,
"In the name of Jesus Christ and Because I Love our Heavenly Father"
Made me tear up, And think to myself,
Me too, Me too...
As a Latter Day Saint, my whole 67 year life, I have always thought about Christ and how he would do missionary work today. I believe that he would approach us and say "My dear Son, you already know so many things that are correct. Let me show you more truth and help you become even better and come unto me. This is how I tried to be a missionary. Yet I see so many churches try to rip and tear down my church and other churches. Jesus would not teach with hate. When I am confronted with anti LDS material, I have to ask them, "When you rip my faith away from me, what are you going to replace it with?". I get no response.
That's wonderful that our Father gave you wisdom to confound them...such people need to be confounded, by the simple bearing witness to the truth! Well done. We have no business, giving in or being quiet, in the face of people who crazily imagine they are doing service to God and man...by DEMONIZING...the most Glorious thing on the earth...the True Restored Church of Jesus Christ...of Latter Day Saints!
Thank you for your insights. I felt and recognized your earnestness in the pursuit of truth from what you said. I'm sure that this is a big deal to you and I'm grateful you're sharing. I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ my whole life, but I've experienced many spiritual rebirths in the past years and you are helping me find the spiritual momentum to continue in this wild and lonely world.
Thanks Jace! We all need each other! Arm in arm...we will make it to the Holy City!
LOVED this video. I find myself wishing you lived in my neighborhood and we could "sit on the porch" discussing such things. EXCELLENT! (Eph 2:19-20; 4:11-13)
You have a lot to learn. Enjoy the trip. I joined the LDS church over 50 years ago and am still learning. May God bless you.
I converted as a baptist to be lds. Best decision ever. The further I get into it, the deeper I am converted. The doctrines are so much more loving and real. They make more sense!
You’re not kidding they make sense! The deeper I go, the more mercy and love I see also!
I was raised LDS. About twenty years ago I fell away. I went down a path living the worst life a man can experience. Over the last several years I questioned everything I thought that I knew. I became very dismissive of religion, in general. A few months ago I felt something inside whisper to me that I needed to read everything I can when Jesus was speaking. These promptings were coming to me daily for almost two weeks. I finally made the decision to open up my old set of scriptures. I began reading in 3rd Nephi when Jesus came to spend time with the people over here. After a few night of reading I began to remember everything I’d forgotten. I spent many nights in tears as I’ve woken up from two decades of living inside a prison of my heart and mind. It amazes me how loving our savior is to us all.
Joe, bless your heart....Heavenly Father has run out to meet you and welcome you back into your Sonship! Please keep in touch...my email is davidmalvinalexander@gmail.com Much love, David
I was baptized in 1972. I know that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in a vision. This was the beginning of the restoration of Christ's true Church in these latter days. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is here upon the earth now. It is a light to the world and within its membership can be found purpose, strength, joy and ability to find the truth to many if life's questions.. We receive companionship of The Holy Ghost which draws us closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know these things are true because I have learned it for myself and never doubted. These things I testify in the name of my Saviour Jesus Christ. I do my best to be a good disciple of Christ. We aren't perfect but the gospel is.
Holly, what a wonderful witness and testimony! Well done!

I am 84 years old and a former Baptist minister. In 1948 I was 9 years of age when I heard on my shortwave radio the United Nations vote affirmative to make Israel a nation again. I did not see how this would happen. The preacher was preaching that Jesus Christ would not come again until Israel was a nation and that Jesus Christ would restore His Church also Elijah had to come as stated in Malachi 4:5-6. Also what I was taught about my relationship to God and Jesus Christ did not agree with the Holy Bible, one major example is John 20:17. I was preaching a sermon and the Holy Spirit lead me to read the Book of Mormon and to take the missionary discussions. This was in 1970 and the Fort Lauderdale Florida Ward was fasting and praying for an Organist. I sat down with the young sister missionaries and told them "I'm not here to convert you nor to be converted by you", they said they had 7 discussions, I said ok, I'll take them ( I thought this is the last place I'll find any truth), they told me that I lived with God before coming to the earth, the reason for this short mortal life, who I really am, the reason for the fall of lucifer and 1/3 of the host of heaven. The true mission of Jehovah and His birth as Jesus Christ to provide a way to have our sins remitted and return to our Heavenly Father Ephesians 1:3-13. Where we go after death of this mortal body and we are not really dead as we are eternal spirit and sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. My wife opposed me talking to Mormons. I asked her to ask God if the Book of Mormon is true. She came out of her room all excited and said she changed the way she was praying and a light appeared in her room and a voice (as if it was someone in the room), "Your husband is seeking to serve God, follow him." She was immediately converted and wanted to be Baptized. My father also a Baptist minister was upset with me for going astray. I pestered him saying have you read the Book of Mormon, no, then how do you know. While reading the Book of Mormon, a few months later he and my mother said they know the Book of Mormon is true and they wanted to join the Church. The 1st year 14 members of my family and extended family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, comprising 4 generations, plus many more since. This is my True story and I testify of it in the name of Jesus Christ. I am currently the Seminole Florida 2nd Ward organist.
I asked God, how it that I felt saved as a Baptist, I had the Gospel and I loved Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit said to me "you were saved but to what kingdom". I know there are 3 Kingdoms, degrees of Glory. (1st Corinthians 39-42). I was saved to the the Terrestrial Kingdom; a Paradisal state, Christ will visit Paradise, none are given or taken in marriage and no family units. The Fullness of the Gospel was Restored with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which gives a knowledge of the Celestial Kingdom, to obtain this Glory is by Merit: To live with Heavenly Father and be a joint Heir with Jesus Christ we must become like Christ, to Love our Father in Heaven with all our might mind and strength and to Love our Neighbor as ourselves. When our mortal body dies, we don't as we are eternal spirits and when judged worthy by Jesus Christ we can return to Heavenly Father (Celestial Kingdom) (Ephesians 1:3-13) where Father blessed us to Return to Him, notice the word Predestined. Our desire was to return to the Celestial Kingdom (from whence we came) to continue our training to becoming Perfect (having all knowledge and power), to become like Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. It is simple, the Celestial Kingdom is made up of Heavenly Father's exalted Sons and Daughters with their Families. We are learning now about being fathers and mothers and having families. It is not easy being parents and we have a lot to learn. Jesus Christ is Heavenly Father's First Born and if we are to be Joint Heirs with Jesus Christ we must learn a lot in order to become like Jesus Christ. We will have an opportunity to become Perfect in Heaven where our training will be perfected. This is Gods Glory to perfect and Exalt His Children, this His work and Glory. We will need to learn how to create and organize worlds. It is simply about eternal families, becoming like Heavenly Father and Mother. If you want to know more. Reply to make contact. I know these things are True. Amen
I wish you could make a video about this one day. What a story

Thank you for your powerful witness of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. I felt the tingle of the Spirit as you closed. I have been frustrated watching my fellow brothers and sisters getting ambushed by Apologia folk. I have had words with a couple who have through their own arguments helped me see where I need to sharpen my learning in my historical and doctrinal knowledge of both the Bible and modern day revelation. Even though i have been a member of the Church all my life, only now in my 40s am I deep diving into my faith and it is so uplifting and edifying and i wish i had done it sooner! I am still earnestly seeking the Lord's response to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His only true Church on the earth today. I feel impressed that it is. And perhaps that answer is sufficient. I feel my heart expanding in so many new ways i could never have anticipated. And this following the hardship of losing my daughter. I have had to really sink my roots into Christ's Gospel sod. He has only responded with peace to my heart and my mind, so i know i am where i am supposed to be.
Your opening statement of allowing others to bring all their arguments as to why you shouldn't join actually shone a light on a very well known invitation at the end of the Book of Mormon given by the prophet/historian Moroni. I'm sure every member of the Church, active or inactive must be able to recite it verbatim! 😊
The wording is a little peculiar, but in the context you have provided, it actually makes sense:
Moroni 10:5
"And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are NOT true: and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost."
Thank you for your added testimony of the need for a "centre of gravity" of an Apostolic council. Surely these would be among the "lively stones" that Peter is talking about who are as the living stone (Christ) who was refused by the builders?
I loved your expounding upon Christ's mission to build up Zion on earth, by calling those who hear His voice, out of all the nations, to be a united light to all who are sitting in darkness. It only recently dawned on me that a song we learn from the time we are children into adulthood, that echoes Christ's teaching to His disciples before He left for Gethsemane, titled "Love One Another" wasn't an admonition to the Saints to love others (outside the Church) as He loved us. It was for the Saints to love "each other" as He loves us, and by THIS may men know, that "ye are MY disciples", if ye have love "one to another". It goes back to what you said about the different denominations within the Evangelical Church, and there being no real unity, because there is no centre. In the Church we really are "strangers and pilgrims" who once were not a people but now are together learning how to "become" a people in Christ, and we don't do it well at times, and often we fail miserably, and sometimes sadly we lose some of the Lord's lambs who the Lord had given us charge over in our respective duties, and one day we will have to give Him an accounting of that.
Irrespective, the Church moves on, but the Lord does not leave the lost sheep, and if they call Him, He will come, in one form or another, through the hands of earthly or heavenly angels to assist.
At present, nothing is more crucial then the object of gathering Israel unto Zion, becoming that people, in preparation for Christs Second Coming as King if Kings. Zion geographically is a place, but we are also taught that Zion is a people who are "of one heart and one mind and who dwell in righteousness". We have been counseled/taught to build up Zion wherever we are, in whatever nation we live. Starting with ourselves and our families. Then expanding outwards to our wards, stakes, communities and out to the world.
"For Zion must increase in beauty, and in holiness; her borders must be enlarged; her stakes must be strengthened; yea, verily I say unto you, Zion must arise and put on her beautiful garments." (D&C 82:14)
David. Welcome to the only true and living church on the face of the whole earth. Your video/s are excellent and a powerful testimony
Thanks David, for sharing your perspective, wisdom and testimony.
Kevin, so glad you find it all encouraging! Pass it on!
Thankyou for your words and testimony. Let us not speak bad about other religions like they speak bad about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are different❤️🙏👍
I find this very touching. It is sad though that I cannot relate to these stories of coming from other religious backgrounds. My ancestors have been members since it started, in fact my great great... etc grandfather was the first bishop of the church. I used to think it was all bullish!t until I actually read the BoM and started listening to people talk about it. I’ve become somewhat obsessed having study its doctrine to death and even read anti Mormon literature since I was 14. and I will continue to learn more. I have every answer I need and my faith cannot be broken, I encourage every other person wether your a member or not to pick up the BoM and read it with the thought that it is true and pray about it and I promise, God will give you what you need to know.
Brother, if you become a Latter-day Saint, we'd be honored to have you!
You have me. Permanently. And Gladly!
David I love all your videos! I must tell you, your face and countenance had a big change ! Baptized David is more handsome and has the look of an Angel ! When I gave up my sins and was forgiven , the same thing happened to me! Thank you for your testimony, now of being part of us, the happy people !
Love this, we would love to have you join the church, thank you for the great video!!!
I was baptised last Sunday and confirmed...and next Sunday I will receive the Aaronic priesthood! Thanks for the encouragement! Share them without anyone you think may find them helpful!
@@davidmalvinalexander ❤❤❤
@@davidmalvinalexander That's outstanding. Congrats
My heart is so full as I just read that you’ve entered into the waters of baptism by the proper authority! Welcome Brother! I love your videos and I can see them doing a tremendous work in bringing truth to so many people of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Keep sharing your story and the truth as long as you can.
I’ve watched several of David’s videos and one thing that always impresses me is David’s wisdom and humility to accept, as he says, “apostolic authority”, ie, someone who is truly called of God, someone who actually has authority to represent Jesus Christ here upon the earth. In a world largely dominated by “I do what IIIIIIIIIII want”, his humility and courage to give up incorrect beliefs and/or habits is both refreshing and inspiring. Stay strong, David, stay strong.
“Look under that rock!” ❤️
Joseph Smith started out searching for truth as a young man and was literally led to the “Rock” and “under another rock” was entrusted with ancient records to translate and restore the Church of Jesus Christ.
You are 100% correct about the question of authority and the role of the apostles of the Lord.
We have a God of order and Jesus Christ was sent to organize His Church on earth by the “laying on of hands” by one with the proper authority.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints IS the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and it is there where you will find “12 apostles”and prophets who are called and given “authority” by the restored Priesthood to receive revelation to guide and direct HIS church today.
It’s a beautiful thing! ❤️
I was raised Baptist And I really appreciate all I learned from that great religion. AFTER BEING RELEASED FROM THE MILITARY and become ing a CHAPLIN for the Veterans Of Foreign Wars , I read another testament of Jesus 32:21 32:21 Christ (the Book of Mormon) I prayed about it and received a personal answer of it’s truthfulness. There is no other way for a person to join the Mormon church except by sincere prayer. Now I find the Baptist people (or many of them) really pissed that I am L D S . But I Still Love the Baptist people.
Amen!
One of the things I think makes us a bit different from other religions that proselyte is that we don't try to beat the word into someone or ask that they rely on our testimony or say they'll be damned if they don't head the word; we say: "Read the Book of Mormon ask in sincere prayer and FIND out for yourself!" And it doesn't end with baptism.. the prophet is always telling us to search the scriptures and pray to know for ourselves the things that are true.
Great story, join us! :) bring all the amazing things you've learned and let us share the blessings of covenants that bring us to Christ.
I was raised in the LDS faith all my life. My father has a very sweet conversion story. He was raised mostly Methodist. The truth is that as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is required that we work. We are not perfect people, but we are trying. I know many imperfect LDS members. Some of the best people I know are evangelicals. The LDS faith requires each individual to know for themselves by asking God if this is His church. No one can be convinced through an earthly argument. Only a testimony gained by the Holy Spirit can lead or keep anyone in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Holy Ghost...and all the good brethren at the Ward..and the Missionary Sisters...helped me!
@@davidmalvinalexander Oh, yes. There must be a messenger. I didn't mean my comment as a criticism of your videos. In fact I have shared your videos. They are very well done. I should clarify, we are introduced to the truth, invited, and are given every opportunity. In the end, it is up to each person. There is no brainwashing here, just an invite. I hope that makes sense.
Thank you for sharing your experience… I have been LDS all of my life and know I take it for granted. ❤
Thank you for your years of wisdom :) I’m sincerely appreciative of your honest search into the church and what you have to share with the world. I hope you will be baptized soon and receive more of the blessings God has for you. Godspeed brother.
I was raised Pentecostal
And went to bible college and was studing to be a pastor
Read the Book of Mormon while there because i was taking a class about cults .,,
Long long story short it’s been 41 wonderful years i have been a member of the Lords. Church on the earth ! Read the Book of Mormon it’s it another testament of Jesus Christ and will lead to to Him .
Thanks, Lynndi!
The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly is a delight. Your scriptural evidences are spot on. May your spiritual journey for truth be blessed.
Tanclan, thanks so much for the encouragement!
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful. The Prophet Joseph Smith is a true Prophet of God. A quote I found just this week 'Kindness is our religion.' Thank You for the insights!!!!
Amen!
David, you have such an incredible testimony (and enthusiasm) about the gospel. Keep doing what you're doing!
Awesome! Love the honesty and faithful approach. The critics of the church tend to use little pieces of truth about the church and its leaders to tell big lies. Is the church perfect? No, because it’s full of imperfect people. But the Book of Mormon and the restoration of the gospel and priesthood is God’s work in the last days. Mine was a very long and intellectual conversion before I was open enough to believe and let God’s spirit reveal it to my soul. God bless you in your search for more truth!
Thanks Martin! The. critics...are letting themselves be under the sway of the Accuser of the Brethren...to assist him in trying to obscure the Light and Beauty of Zion and the Restoration...with an Accusatory Fog...like the "Mist of Darkness" in the Book of Mormon. But if we lift our voices and boldly bear Witness to the Truth...that fog can be dispelled, and it needs to be. Thanks for your encouragement!
You have truly inspired me! I hope it's okay, but I've been sharing some of your videos
Thanks for your encouragement, Trevor! And for sure...please share the videos with anyone who you think may find them helpful! So glad to have put my feet on the Covenant Path with you all! In Christ...finally...David!
Can I just say, you’re freaking awesome!! I’ve been a latter day Saint my whole life I love it with all of my heart and soul
David - Onward and upward, here a little and there a little, precept upon precept! Keep growing in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
Amen David! That's it...slow and steady, keep on the Covenant Path together...and we will all get there! (Is. 35:8-10
I love this video. Love the path you’re on and I look forward to watching your future videos!
Thanks Talmage!
This is so beautiful! You are doing a great thing here brother! Keep it up and I look forward to watching the rest of your videos! ❤❤
I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and happy for you ❤
Brother, thank you for sharing of your love, wisdom, experience, and passion for Christ.
Thank you. I felt the spirit in your video. As a lifelong latter-day saints I appreciate your willingness and boldness. Whatever you decide I know you love the lord.
Thanks Byron...I got baptised last Sunday and confirmed!
I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was raised around evangelicals. I have so many stories I’d love to share.
Feel free to share one...you can do it in the form of a long comment...people read these things! Go ahead and TESTIFY my man!
I read the book of mormon, prayed about it, then God led me to Galatians and I read all of it. As well as romans chapters 4,5,6,7,8. I received the message that it's a perversion, and that I only need the grace of Jesus Christ. When you test Jospeh Smith as a prophet, by the biblical standards Deuteronomy 18:20-22 and look at Doctrines and Covenants 130:14-17, D&C 57:3 and D&C 84:2-5 we have false prophecies, and I can expound on this. They like to use this this wording as well in their church, like anti-mormon or anti-LDS content and shine down on those that look thru it, and I'm like why? Won't the truth stand on its own? The truth and saving grace of Jesus Christ does stand on its own.
Furthermore LDS testimonies, text and beliefs are anti-christian content. The first vision starts out saying not to join any of the churches cause they are all wrong, all our creeds an abomination, professors of christ corrupt... etc. That's anti everyone else.. so don't fall for the anti-mormon, anti-lds content. LDS is the biggest ANTI, they even start out with that.
@AG-rl5pw Your allegations can and have been debunked. Joseph Smith passes with flying colors. You take bits and pieces of his prophecies, and out of context, and you weaponize them to cause doubt and shame. Every day, I thank Heavenly Father for guiding me and not leaving me in darkness. I was guided to someone who could answer and dismantle everything that you can throw at us. I suggest that you take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself, "Is what I'm trying to do good in the eyes of God?" You're trying to destroy faith, and the fruit of people like you is not good, which is former members. I've seen it. They become bitter and resentful, and they do everything in their power to drag their fellows down with them. I think that you ought to leave, in fact. If you only want to cause doubt, I suggest you shut up. I saw you call us Satanists in another conversation. We're not. We're good, honest, God-fearing, God-loving people who are trying our best. Satanists are self righteous punks who are their own gods and they worship themselves. Tell me, do members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints sound like such people? Not once have I seen such a thing. I'm not blind and I'm not stupid. If your only mission here is cause doubt, leave. I find it astounding that you come into our spaces to do these things, but we don't make it our life's mission to dismantl the faith of others. We don't force ourselves into people's homes, we ask at the door if they'd like to hear us out.
Thank you David you are a true disciple your calling is too help people find the truth like you did ❤️😊👏
I felt multiple Spiritual witnesses from the Holy Ghost in the truths from this video! Thank you Brother Alexander, you are truly a modern day (yet baby of babies) Paul
As a life time LDS er i absolutely love my anevengelical brothers and sisters, so many good hearted, sincere people that understand the need for a savior.
I have come to see the need to find common ground as much as possible with all I come in contact with knowing this journey we call life will be fair to all who seek truth, answers and truth will triumph.
God bless you on your quest my friend.
Amen. But it is IMPORTANT TO DEFEND THE TRUTH! As Elder Bednar said in one of his talks....Austin M. Farrar, a renowned English Anglican Philosopher, theologian and biblical scholar, made the following insightful statement;
“though argument does not create conviction; the lack of it, destroys belief. What seems to be proved, may not be embraced…but what no one shows the ability to defend…is quickly abandoned. Rational argument does not create belief, but it maintains a climate in which belief…may flourish.”
And I would add....This is why Jude commands in verse three of his Epistle,…
3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
A lot of evangelicals are quite non-judgmental and willing to believe the best...which is just what Love does. But a lot of them...are way too quick...to be to sure of the "Rightness" of their doctrine...and way too quick... to condemn to hell the Latter Day Saints for not agreeing with their own perspective on things. Its sad...but these people MUST BE DEFENDED AGAINST...with love and peace of course...but still...what they say and how they say it...MUST BE DEFENDED AGAINST...or simply the lack of sincere defence of the Truth...destroys Faith...because we are so constituted by Heavenly Father as reasonable beings...that "what no one shows the ability to defend..is quickly abandoned". So let's ALL EARNESTLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH!!!
Great testimony I enjoyed listening to you .
McKay, so glad you are edified by the videos...that was my hope in making them!
your channel popped up on my page so i thought i would watch it, i am a member of the church of Jesus Christ lds, i found your thoughts wonderful and a pleasant surprise, we would love to have you in our ward, keep on doing what your doing you have so much more influence right now because of where you are at and your sincerity, i like your point in their dependence on the bible, when if you watch general conference april 1-2 they will tell you its run by Jesus Christ, love your channel
As a former Baptist its because I read the Bible, then started looking for a church with a real Prophet, when I heard the song "We thank thee oh God for a Prophet" fire came down from Heaven and filled my heart! That was when I was 18, now I am 84! I have never looked back!!
Watching this after seeing your other videos first, I see a significant change for the best from this spiritual expression to higher holier covenant spiritual express evident since you received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I can see the change and it thrills my soul for the love of Jesus Christ! I have a witness that He changes good men into better men just by your fruit.
Wow!
I just struck gold coming across this channel!!!
Amazing 👏 Thank You SO Much!!!
"The fruit of sola scriptura is 46 thousand worldwide Christian denominations" - this is a profound statement. Love you Brother Alexander!
