This not only is a beautiful watch, it is actually legible, which is a rarity in chronographs. This colorway is so legible, without being boring b&w. My eyes cannot see 60 minute subdials, so this 30 minute subdial is as it should be on all chronographs, IMO. Yes, $600+ is a lot for a quartz chrono, but I think this particular example manages to pack that much quality, features, usability and beauty into it. As to straps, Farer certainly offers the most variety of options over their competition, but that one you show is a beauty. Great presentation, thank you!

Great observations, and I agree. I heard great things about Farer and this was my first experience. Would love to get another watch from them in to review someday.

I don't think there is a model by Farer i don't like, other than the price of all of them! Can't even say that the price is not justified, still it's out of my range... at the moment (?!). Their design department deserves a lot of credit, so is their whole design assembly team, all look top notch, well thought and done.
Cheers Jason, another great review mate and another unique piece. Be well mate, keep on.

Thanks, I basically completely agree. Love the design and colors, etc. but many of them are out of my price range! Was happy to get my hands on this one, even just to borrow :)

Nice review. Really none of your negatives apply to me, I particularly like the color schemes.

I've been eyeing this one for a while and I just got it on ebay used. After watching the video it's nicer than I thought.

Great watches, I have this one and the Lomond field watch - excellent detailing and quality for the money.

Oh awesome. Yes, I like the brand, would like to get my hands on some other models!

Very attractive watch with a lot of useful functionality. FWIW, I'd rather have this one than Seiko's Speedtimer Chrono SSC815P1 with that useless 24hr register at 3 o'clock, basically an AM/PM indicator

I really really dislike the 24 hour register too!

Enjoyed that video, thank you Jason. I’ve been researching this watch, as I was born in a place called Formby in England which is 5 miles south of Ainsdale! My family still live in Formby. After watching your review I will purchase the watch; just need to decide which strap. Likely the navy blue leather sports strap. Thanks for this video. Do you agree with my strap choice?! Cheers, Rich

Oh wow, what a cool connection to your birthplace! I checked out the strap choices and I do think the navy blue leather sports one looks really great on this watch. Also since it is 20m lug width you will have tons of other options if you want to switch it out (which is half the fun). Let me know if you do get it what you think, Cheers!

@@JustWatches1 I’ve just ordered one (with the blue sports strap), and added the free engraving AINSDALE II on the back (will be at the 12 o’clock on the back, so will look pretty cool, as there’s no mention of Ainsdale on the watch!) Will let you know when it arrives!

Hi Jason. I finally got round to ordering the Ainsdale II on a blue sports strap, and received it today; it's an awesome watch! The AINSDALE II I got engraved on the case back looks very cool too. I will take it to visit the actual Ainsdale beach when I return to the UK for holiday in the summer! Thanks again for your review; it really helped me make a decision. Stay in good health. Cheers, Rich

Liked your video. But the strap isn't a Farer strap, is it? I think the strap you have on is great!

    • @JustWatches1
      @JustWatches1  2 года назад

You are correct, this is not the stock strap. This is a Geckota rally strap. They make tons of straps and if you wait for a good sale you can get a really nice deal on them.

    Does it have blue/coloured AR?

The AR seemed clear actually, I didn't notice that blue sheen.

This Farer is a very vibrant watch, but beyond my reach as always in terms of price.

Yes, I borrowed this one. I love Farer, but they tend to run close or over the $1k mark unfortunately.
