I think being able to give some different perspectives would be nice. It can be written or video. Send me an email at sunny@sunnyhaair.com if you're interested - no worries if you're not!

I love the pickups on the CV. The only thing I'm going to change on mine is eventually adding a bigsby. Otherwise, it's perfect. Little smaller than a 335 so it's really comfortable and that offset shape is really distinct looking. I'm using mine for stoner metal.

@@sunnyhaair After watching this video and commenting I pickup he Affinity Tele that I own and I had not played it in several days. It was in tune and with the Fender Noiseless 3 pickups in it and locking tuners, it sounded great. I have no regrets with that purchase or the amount of money I put into it. I don't upgrade guitars to sell, I keep them these days. Back when I was a kid, I only had one guitar and had to trade to get another. I would have lost my shirt if I had done all the upgrades back then. Hell, back then there were no upgrades to install. :-) Cheers.
HA! You've chose the 2 models I am eyeing. I like the headstock on the Starcasters. Not the same ol'. You can change the pups on the Affinity with a P90 and a Filtertron for a different take on the same guitar
@@sunnyhaair it's good to have different pups on the same model of guitars. Testing different tunings also help to highlight the pups strenghts and weaknesses.
Awesome review||| I recently purchase a used black Squier Affinity Starcaster guitar. I love the headstock. I also like the feel and sound of the guitar and the standard size humbuckers.
I have a Squier Thinline Tele and the day before I bought it I asked if the tone pot wasn't working properly and 2 salesmen told me that's just how they are. Next day I went in, gave it to the guitar tech, asked him to check it. Opened it up, saw it was shorting out by touching the volume pot. Rotated it away from the other pot and now it works fine.
In hindsight, I wish I would’ve just fished the pots out and fixed it myself, but the conflicting words from Fender and The Music Zoo in addition to having to work on the Affinity Starcaster just led me to return it out of frustration. I should’ve slept on it for a few days and let a cooler head prevail!
DelScully Thanks that’s a very motivating comment! I’m doing my best to keep it up & working on a handful of videos as I type. Thanks for subscribing and I hope you enjoy the future videos too!
I just ordered my Affinity so I was very curious to see how they play and sound. I'm looking for something simple that is affordable and it looks like this is a good choice!
Jeremy Cline I think you’ll be very happy with it! I actually had to return my Classic Vibe due to the electronics issue :( Kept the Affinity one and I’ve been playing it non stop for a month now. I put different humbuckers in it and it’s responded to them so well. Thinking about getting another one and loading it with some different pickups too! Thanks for watching and enjoy your new guitar!
Glad you enjoyed - and I understand that struggle! I really thought my next guitar was going to be a TVL Jazzmaster before I saw these two pop up. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
I did actually! I had a Shoreline Gold on loan for a bit. Loved the 12” radius but I still went back to my red one - I’ve got a bond with it that’s hard to break 😅
Great comparison, I picked up last night a Starcaster Affinity in Olympic White, really a great guitar, I have 13 others ranging from 8 string, 7, Bass VI etc.. But she is my first semi-hollow. I was really satisfied with it. ps. Am I wrong or do you like Wes Borland? I hear a lot of influences in your sound, I also grew up musically with his riffs and sound :)
Congrats on the Starcaster! I’ve got a few other guitars as well and the Starcaster is unlike any other. It helps that it’s as light as a feather too! I actually just got a new one recently too, a gold contemporary one. And you’re not wrong at all. Wes Borland is a huge influence! I’d say he’s is my biggest influence but he makes up a trinity with Jerry Cantrell and Billy Howerdel. Honestly, him and troy van Leeuwen are the reason I got into semi-hollows.
I read about the issue with the CV... But I do love the sound of it on 2:40... (And part of my mind wanted to hear the X files and the Twin Peaks themes on it... Just loved your setting and the sexy low-mid range 👄🤤)
Hi. Is the bridge pickup "f spaced" ie 52.4mm rather than the 50mm? Thanks if you can check that would be amazing. I want to buy replacement pickups to arrive with my starcaster which is on order. Thankyou!
Man, I LUV the look of the CV Starcaster…. But I can’t find any vids where they play the guitar without overdrive… How does it sound clean? Are the pu’s on the CV muddy at all? I may swap them out for humbucker sized single coils….
I bought the starcaster with active pickups. I had to return it. The neck and pickups were fine. It felt soooo fragile to me and it doesn't even have the f-holes. Aside from the from the squire strat that was my first guitar a million years ago, I don't have much fender/squire experience but it scared me how light and delicate this thing felt. I wanted to like it. I thought it looked amazing in person, as well as sounding decent. The sustain was ridiculous. Its a big bodied guitar but felt little and weak. I felt like a 400 pound man dancing with with 100 pound ballerina.
Fair enough that you gave it a try my friend! The contemporary ones are the same as the f-hole models so they’re basically hollow and featherweights for sure. I personally love heavy guitars so I can see where you’re coming from in that regard. Mines taken a fair amount of beatings and outside of needing to tighten up the neckplate after a fall it’s doing perfectly fine. With how thick the paint is I don’t even think it has any marks on it lol. Thanks for watching!
@@sunnyhaair no, thank you for posting. I enjoy these real world videos that help me understand a guitar before I purchase it. I just wanted to add my 2 cents to anyone watching your video who may be debating purchasing one of these guitars. I didn't think I would truly break it. I just couldn't get over that feeling of delicacy.
Do you know if the humbuckers on both of these models have 4 conductor wiring? I’d be interested in coiling splitting the pickups, which needs 4 conductor wiring
Hey there, sorry for the delayed response. The Affinity Starcaster didn’t have four conductor when I changed the pickups 🤔 I don’t think either of them do though. Could be wrong on the CV though. Thanks for watching!
The pups are the same!! Those aren't wide range. Wide range only comes on the fender models. Those are the same except covered & bare just for the look of the particular model.
nice comparison, thanx i found a 2nd hand Affinity for half the price of a new 150€ i was wondering what the difference with a classic Vibe but i have so many guitars ...
Sorry for the late response! I’ve been trying to track down my order info but I can’t find it. I know the neck is the H1- but the bridge is either the H2+ or the H3. In the past I’d used the H3 but I feel like I would’ve went with the H2+ given the increased resonance of the Starcaster. I never did consider the contemporary because I like the F holes 😅 The sound here is all Helix! I used Helix Native on some segments and HX Stomp in others. Thanks for watching!
Hi Sunny, great review! I'm considering buying one of the Affinity series but not sure what gig bag would fit properly. I know semi hollow guitars should probably be in a case but I just prefer gig bags.
Thank you for watching! I use the FEJ-610 gig bag for my Starcaster and Jazzmaster. It’s about $50-60 depending on where you look. ProAudioStar has some in stock currently. Hope you enjoy the Starcaster if you end up buying it!
I'm still loving mine! I've always got 3 guitars as my "main" guitars: 1 in D/Drop C, 1 for D#/Drop C#, and 1 for C#. In 2019/2020 I was mostly writing in C# and this was tuned to that, but for 2021 I've been spending most of my time in D# and this Starcaster has moved from the C# guitar to my D#/Drop C# guitar. So basically, it's still my main guitar! And that's even after all the other guitars I've acquired that you can see here on the channel. Thanks for watching & the kind words!
@@sunnyhaair awesome! I just got the affinity in white! I’m loving it; super impressed with the fretwork and setup out of the box. Your video helped me make the decision!
@@sunnyhaair Based on your reply to Kirk Scobey, it sounds like you still have the Affinity, but I understand you didn't keep the Classic Vibe from your update above. And you returned the CV specifically because of the pots issue, correct? The pickups, feel, sound etc. all were good?
Yep, the pots issue. I wasn’t even planning to return it because I liked it. I just didn’t have the time or patience to fix it at the time and before I returned it to the retailer, Fender told me they’d repair it on warranty. Once it reached the retailer they said no. I loved everything else about the CV though. I was actually going to rebuy it a couple weeks ago but I ended up getting the Burgundy Mist Tele & Jazzmaster I’ve just don’t videos on.
@@sunnyhaair Ok thanks for the quick reply. I may pick me up one of those CV Starcasters, but will try it in my local shop first. I appreciate the helpful review and info.
@@sunnyhaair Sorry to be a pain, but since you were kind enough to reply, I'll run just one more question by you. How is the action on the Starcaster? On my Telecaster, I can't get the action very low because of the curvature of the fretboard (9.5" radius) and the three-saddle bridge. Do you think the Starcaster can get low action? I believe it's the same 9.5" radius. Thanks in advance.
Very good review. Informative, and in-depth. Thanks. Just ordered the red Affinity Starcaster from Sweetwater. I don't expect to see any missing output jacks, or anything amiss on the guitar, as Sweetwater is excellent at pre-shipping inspection. Once you put a solid wood block in a guitar, you essentially have a solid body guitar. The hollow part looks cool, etc. but, as Les Paul knew, it's for looks. Check out his famous 'Log' guitar.
@@sunnyhaair It's beautiful. Truss rod only works one way -- a one-way truss rod? Action a bit high, even after some adjustments. High E string was a half step out of intonation, but not a big problem for me. I adjusted it. I'll have to live with the guitar for awhile before I pass any judgments.
I understand about the pickups on semihollow guitars because for instance they make a 339with P90s and that defeats the purpose! If you put radical pickups on a semi hollow you might as well buy a Strat or a LP!
Yeah for me, semi-hollows work best with passive humbuckers. I feel that’s the best way to amplify their properties instead of muting or neutering them. Thanks for watching!
In this one I'm mostly playing through the HX Stomp. The only exceptions are 5:30-6:57 where I re-amped thru Helix Native, and the low gain playing from 6:58-7:32 where I was using an Abasi Concepts Pathos in the FX Loop of the Stomp. Thanks for the compliment and for watching!
thanks for the review and the pickups detail. strange how higher end guitars have satin backing for necks but the affinity has it and not the to CV. based off my friend, changing electronics in semi hollows is difficult (vs say a tele or strat), but some like Gibson / Epi lucille or the active starcaster have panels in the back.
Thank YOU for watching! Yeah I’ve also always felt glossy necks (especially poly finishes) give guitars a toy like feel. But when done right, it adds a bit of elegance to the feel. And the CV Starcaster got it right! It’s a very thin gloss. Changing electronics in a hollow/semi hollow is definitely a pain, but once you do it a few times and arm yourself with the right tools it gets a little easier.
I just got the Affintiy series in red because I preferred it’s design. However, I’m not a big fan of the pickups. What pickups would you recommend to upgrade to?
Nice! Yeah I’m sad the walnut finish is gonna cause I’d planned to get another one some day I’ve been considering the natural one, but at this point, I’m really with my red one. I’ve also got a Tele Deluxe that I feel like that sounds pretty close to the Classic Vibe, so I’ll try to hold off… for now lol Congrats on the new guitar!
Do you find the Starcaster is resonant at all. That is to say, with some volume does it have that hollow body vibration in your hands? I had a Gretsch hollow body that did...I'm not sure if these center block ones will do that? Thanks.
Absolutely! It does have the center block, but the electronics route from the center block to the controls and the f-holes work together to make it much more resonant that a solid body. If my fully hollow Ibanez AF75 is a 10 on the resonance scale, the Starcaster is a 7.
What do/did you think of the tuners and the TOM bridge? Frequently, I pull off the factory strings and tuners because they're kinda gritty and cheap feeling on budget guitars. How did the Classic Vibe feel? And... the TOM bridge does NOT look like an Asian bridge. It looks more like a Nashville Bridge. Does it feel nice?
Philip Rode The bridge is identical on them both and it’s very solid. Nice and heavy and not one of cheapy ones. I didn’t realize how terrible the flimsy tailpieces until I had an Ibanez with one. The machine heads on the Classic Vibe were perfect and I saw no need to change them. With the factor .09-.42 (or maybe .44 I can remember), I had no tuning or intonation issues even tuning down to C#. It was very impressive. The tuners on the Affinity one dont have the best ratio though. Staying in tune isn’t an issue once I get there, but getting there could be easier. I might look into replacing those at some point.
I keep having to remind people reviewing guitars on RUclips, that it is very difficult to impossible for viewers to get a clear and accurate idea of what a guitar actually sounds like, if the reviewer plays it through effects units, especially heavily saturated effects. When demonstrated like that, most of what people hear is just the effect and it becomes very difficult to discern the simple natural sound of the guitar and it's pickups, which should be demonstrated through a clean amp setting with no added effects and especially not distortion effects. Do you understand what I am saying here?
Yep, I understand what you’re saying. Sorry this isn’t what you’re looking for, but thank you for your time spent watching and commenting! I should point out that my videos aren’t reviews and I don’t intend or claim them to be. I make my videos to document my personal experiences which means my personal use case scenarios are highlighted. With that said, “My First Day” videos for each of these guitars I play them through clean amp settings.
@@sunnyhaair Thanks for your reply to my comment. I was not aware of your "My First Day" videos and I should add that, apart from the aspect of your video I mentioned in my comment, It was a useful and informative look at both guitars, pointing out important differences between them, which you presented well, so thank you for that Sunny. All the best.
Noob question: is it fine if i put straplocks on my affinity starcaster? Is there a hard block especially in the end of the horn wherr the strap button is mounted? Thanks in advance!
Sorry I missed this! For some reason I wasn’t emailed about comments on this. I actually use the Ernie Ball PolyLock straps... or strap rather cause I only need one.
Taga Cale Nut width is 42 mm on them both and the weight is between 6 and 7 pounds. The Affinity is closer to 6 and the CV is closer to 7. Thanks for watching!
Somewhat possible! You could buy a humbucker sized P90 (I got some by GFS for a guitar I wrote my instrumental pandemic project with - a Dream 90 in the neck and a Mean 90 in the bridge). Or some of the humbucker to P90 conversion rings could work.
I can’t remember the specific measurements, but the Affinity Starcaster is routed for standard humbuckers/pickup rings, but the Classic Vibe is routed for Fender’s Wide Range Humbucker sized pickups which are a bit bigger than your typical humbucker
Sick of everything getting dual humbuckers personally. I had to go make my own 3 p90 Strat at warmoth before I even noticed Fender put out a 2 p90 Strat. Sick of the modern C necks too. Breaking my wrist on those shits!
nice review man and great demo! I am also having the same pot issues with my Squier CV Starcaster, even with my tone pot maxed out, the guitar sounded too low or dull when the volume is turned down by at least to 9 or 8 (idk if its normal but my other guitars don't sound like that). Are there any suggestions you could give to resolve this? Still love the guitar so I plan to have it checked by a luthier once the quarantine lockdown is over here. Thanks!
Marie Patricia Noelle Gutierrez Sorry to hear that :( I’ve heard from a few people with varying issues - one person had no output from the bridge pickup at all. You’ve got a couple options to take care of it on your own if you’re able to work with a soldering iron! The first one would be changing the pots yourself. There’s no telling which pot/pots are responsible for the issue you’re having so it would be best to change them all. The second option is to just disconnect the tone pots from the circuitry of the guitar. Chances are you’ll have full volume output then as long as the volume pots aren’t the culprit. In hindsight, after seeing how many people are having issues and how Fender isn’t doing anything to help, I wish I would’ve kept the CV and made a tutorial for people to troubleshoot on their own. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I once had the 2010 Fender Starcaster, and had the same issue, I went to check the specs from the 70's original Starcaster and I have found that it uses 1M ohm pots on volume(and Master volume too) so, I took the crappy 500k pots and changed them for the original specs, that really opens the tonal spectrum of the guitar, hope that helps
Hey John I’m sorry I missed this comment. In this video I actually just had the factory gauge strings on them believe it or not haha. After they come off though I use .12-.54 for anything lower than Standard.

:-) Cheers.
Nice review, man. I got the Affinity for my girlfriend for Christmas this year. I think it's a pretty sweet little guitar. Cheers, brother.
That’s awesome. How’s she liking it? I still play mine daily! It’s such a comfortable guitar. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
@@sunnyhaair So far so good. She finds it incredibly comfortable. Finds it gorgeous. So, that's a start, eh? ;)
HA! You've chose the 2 models I am eyeing.
I like the headstock on the Starcasters. Not the same ol'.
You can change the pups on the Affinity with a P90 and a Filtertron for a different take on the same guitar
I’ve actually got some humbucker sized P90s I’ve been thinking about putting in the Affinity at some point. They’d probably sound great!
@@sunnyhaair it's good to have different pups on the same model of guitars. Testing different tunings also help to highlight the pups strenghts and weaknesses.
I would immediately put at least one p90 in the affinity. I think I'm going to get the red one...
The headstock is unique AF and awesome.
Awesome review||| I recently purchase a used black Squier Affinity Starcaster guitar. I love the headstock. I also like the feel and sound of the guitar and the standard size humbuckers.
I put a Warmoth Strat maple neck on mine and swapped out the pickups with some Lindy Fralin's Pure-PAF humbuckers. It's incredible now.
I should’ve slept on it for a few days and let a cooler head prevail!
hey man your videos are awesome, and great riffage! You deserve more subscribers, hope you keep it up!
DelScully Thanks that’s a very motivating comment! I’m doing my best to keep it up & working on a handful of videos as I type. Thanks for subscribing and I hope you enjoy the future videos too!
Thanks for this review, I was unsure which to get but you have persuaded me that the affinity will be more moddable for the future.
Thanks for watching! Two years later I’ve still always got mine within reach.
@@sunnyhaairdo you mean the Red Affinity(UNmodded?) & if so do you STILL play it?
I just ordered my Affinity so I was very curious to see how they play and sound. I'm looking for something simple that is affordable and it looks like this is a good choice!
Jeremy Cline I think you’ll be very happy with it! I actually had to return my Classic Vibe due to the electronics issue :( Kept the Affinity one and I’ve been playing it non stop for a month now. I put different humbuckers in it and it’s responded to them so well. Thinking about getting another one and loading it with some different pickups too! Thanks for watching and enjoy your new guitar!
@@sunnyhaair YES! Good to hear. Since I"ve been more of an acoustic guy I don't know much about pickups, though I do like the sound of P-90's
@@sunnyhaair and it looks like I can use a Les Paul-size pickguard or modify one.
Jeremy Cline Well you’re in luck - there’s a few humbucker sized P90s out there! I’ve played the Seymour Duncan ones before and they’re so good.
@@sunnyhaair Well that warrants a new video to show the difference. 😉
Sick jams and have me considering one of these over the CV or a VM jazz.
Glad you enjoyed - and I understand that struggle!
I really thought my next guitar was going to be a TVL Jazzmaster before I saw these two pop up.
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
Great vid. Excellent comparison and demo!
James Hullihen Thank you!
Great demo of guitars that need more press.
Thanks I really appreciate that!
I can’t wait til people make more videos of these. They’re unreal.
Love your playing
Richard Elliott Nice of you to say - thank you!
Did you ever pick up a Starcaster Contemporary? 12" Radius and Active pickups plus access from the rear for experimentation.
I did actually! I had a Shoreline Gold on loan for a bit. Loved the 12” radius but I still went back to my red one - I’ve got a bond with it that’s hard to break 😅
great review! but this video sounds like a top 10 scary ghosts caught on camera video lol
Thanks! And sorry! I wasn’t exactly confident with my voiceovers at that point 😅
Good review with very fair comments.
Thanks Stan!
Just got a Red Affinity Starcaster & love it…
Nice! How are you liking it as times gone on? I found myself liking mine more and more every day and it really changed my approach to guitars.
I read about the issue with the CV... But I do love the sound of it on 2:40...
(And part of my mind wanted to hear the X files and the Twin Peaks themes on it... Just loved your setting and the sexy low-mid range 👄🤤)
I think the CV has had the best clean sound of any guitar I've ever owned. I've gotta rebuy one some day. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Those Radiohead guys play a Starcaster
Awesome review!!
AnarreSMR thanks for watching, commenting, and subscribing! I really appreciate it :)
Hi. Is the bridge pickup "f spaced" ie 52.4mm rather than the 50mm? Thanks if you can check that would be amazing. I want to buy replacement pickups to arrive with my starcaster which is on order. Thankyou!
Hey there, I’ve got normal spaced humbuckers in mine
Man, I LUV the look of the CV Starcaster…. But I can’t find any vids where they play the guitar without overdrive… How does it sound clean? Are the pu’s on the CV muddy at all? I may swap them out for humbucker sized single coils….
Here’s one I did with some cleans: ruclips.net/video/yAZJEt82PBo/видео.html
The pickups sound beautiful! I miss that guitar
Thanks for letting me know for sure about the affinity. I can ask around to confirm about the classic vibe 🤘
The pups are the same!! Those aren't wide range. Wide range only comes on the fender models. Those are the same except covered & bare just for the look of the particular model.
Thank you.Im going with the classic vibe. What is that tune you played?
Cool parts you’re playing
Thanks Hexspa!
nice comparison, thanx
i found a 2nd hand Affinity for half the price of a new 150€
i was wondering what the difference with a classic Vibe
but i have so many guitars ...
Hello did you consider the contemporary ? What model of Tom Anderson pickups did yo go with? Also like your sound. What effects pedals are you Using?
Sorry for the late response! I’ve been trying to track down my order info but I can’t find it. I know the neck is the H1- but the bridge is either the H2+ or the H3. In the past I’d used the H3 but I feel like I would’ve went with the H2+ given the increased resonance of the Starcaster.
I never did consider the contemporary because I like the F holes 😅
The sound here is all Helix! I used Helix Native on some segments and HX Stomp in others.
Thanks for watching!
@@sunnyhaair thanks for the update
Hi Sunny, great review! I'm considering buying one of the Affinity series but not sure what gig bag would fit properly. I know semi hollow guitars should probably be in a case but I just prefer gig bags.
Thank you for watching! I use the FEJ-610 gig bag for my Starcaster and Jazzmaster. It’s about $50-60 depending on where you look. ProAudioStar has some in stock currently.
Hope you enjoy the Starcaster if you end up buying it!
Pretty interested in the affinity. The only thing that is holding me back is the pale neck. It needs tint
After seeing how cool the roasted maple necks look on the new contemporary Starcasters I’m gonna have to agree with you there!
Great video! I'm pretty close to getting the affinity...how are you still liking yours??
Thx I was leaning more to the Affinity for many of the reasons you’ve stated! I am going back to Sweetwater to revisit thes e!
If you get one, I hope you enjoy it! It’s a very fun & reliable guitar. Thanks for watching!
Thanks in advance.
are you the computer from 2001?

Very good review. Informative, and in-depth. Thanks.
Just ordered the red Affinity Starcaster from Sweetwater. I don't expect to see any missing output jacks, or anything amiss on the guitar, as Sweetwater is excellent at pre-shipping inspection.
Once you put a solid wood block in a guitar, you essentially have a solid body guitar. The hollow part looks cool, etc. but, as Les Paul knew, it's for looks. Check out his famous 'Log' guitar.
Thanks for watching and commenting! How’s your Starcaster treating you?
Very well done!
Thank you!
Hey Sunny, nice playing, great comparo, I'd really like to know what you're running for pedals in this demo. Great sound ! !
@@sunnyhaair thanks, I liked the Adam Jones sound you had going there.
thanks for the review and the pickups detail. strange how higher end guitars have satin backing for necks but the affinity has it and not the to CV. based off my friend, changing electronics in semi hollows is difficult (vs say a tele or strat), but some like Gibson / Epi lucille or the active starcaster have panels in the back.
Congratulations! What kind of sound to have in mind? 🤔

Nice! Yeah I’m sad the walnut finish is gonna cause I’d planned to get another one some day
I’ve been considering the natural one, but at this point, I’m really with my red one. I’ve also got a Tele Deluxe that I feel like that sounds pretty close to the Classic Vibe, so I’ll try to hold off… for now lol
Congrats on the new guitar!
@@sunnyhaair, thanks so much for the reply!
Thx!
Squire will take you higher 👆 🔥
Great intriguing info 🤔
What’s the nut width on these puppies and also the overall weight of the guitar
Taga Cale Nut width is 42 mm on them both and the weight is between 6 and 7 pounds. The Affinity is closer to 6 and the CV is closer to 7. Thanks for watching!
Is it possible if I buy the affinity version to swap out the pickups to make p90/humbucker combo?
Somewhat possible! You could buy a humbucker sized P90 (I got some by GFS for a guitar I wrote my instrumental pandemic project with - a Dream 90 in the neck and a Mean 90 in the bridge). Or some of the humbucker to P90 conversion rings could work.
What's the difference of the pickup routing?
I can’t remember the specific measurements, but the Affinity Starcaster is routed for standard humbuckers/pickup rings, but the Classic Vibe is routed for Fender’s Wide Range Humbucker sized pickups which are a bit bigger than your typical humbucker
Sick of everything getting dual humbuckers personally. I had to go make my own 3 p90 Strat at warmoth before I even noticed Fender put out a 2 p90 Strat.
Sick of the modern C necks too. Breaking my wrist on those shits!
P90s are seriously overlooked! I wish there were more market options for bridge humbucker/neck p90 guitars. It’s a great combo.
@@sunnyhaair hm.. I wonder now if I should have done H/P/P….
nice review man and great demo!
I'll love to put Jazzmaster pickups and convert it to a baritone with a replacement neck.
That would be pretty awesome! I’ve considered putting a humbucker sized P90 or two in mine.
@@sunnyhaair I'm sure it sounds sweet!
Red guitar needs binding looks cheap without. Sounds good
That wasn't a comparison so much effort on them how could you tell what they're like, nice sound/vid production but
What string gauge are you using when downtuning?
Hey John I’m sorry I missed this comment. In this video I actually just had the factory gauge strings on them believe it or not haha. After they come off though I use .12-.54 for anything lower than Standard.
The only thing I don't like about this guitar is that headstock! I would have to take a jigsaw to it!
Jamie E Haha I cant blame you there! It’s not photogenic at all, but surprisingly, in person it doesn’t stick out as bad. It’s fascinating really 🤔
