Hi! Congrats on getting into the program! Honestly those emotions are valid. Just go in with an open mind, ready to learn and soak it all in because it goes by SO FAST! Let me know if there's any topic you'd like me to cover. Best of luck to you! ❤️

The hope is also to see if this can assist with becoming a P.A.
Hi Naomi, so glad the video was helpful to you! And Congrats on getting into the program! Feel free to leave any questions you may have about LPN school. ❤️
@@SignedEmma yes, I actually want to go into the so-called happy nursing! I would like to work post-op and run a recovery house for cosmetic surgical patients and provide concierge for home health services!
Ive been accepted into LPN School and got my prerequisite classes ready for spring and summer to cut my time shorter. Plus in my college if youre CNA (HCA) in Canada, i get exempted from a course and get to do a test that also exempts you for another course. Hoping i pass this! Definitely willing to put in the work for it. Wish me luck!
@@SignedEmma it's about 2 to 3 years. 2 years if you're doing in person. 3 to 4 years if you're doing it online. I'm just doing the open study so that way I can cut my time shorter online that way it will be within the two-year mark.
Am so anxious after all these years of dreaming to become a nurse..i can finally say God is so good that i am starting nursing school..LPN on monday🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Hi! Honestly A&P is all about memorization. Just reviewing the material until you're able to retain the information. Flash cards also help! Wishing you all the best in your remaining courses missy! ❤️
Hi, My best advice to get counseling about the courses needed to get into the program. They should be able to tell you what classes are needed (often times you have to take pre requisites first before getting into the program). If you're able to pass and those pre requisites then you should be fine for nursing school. Hope this helps!
Hi Lattie! So glad you found my channel ❤️ I don't live in Texas so I wouldn't know where to start for LPN program recommendations 😅 My best advice is to search in your area, starting with technical colleges. Best of luck with your searches!
The clinical hours differed a lot, but in the beginning of the program we typically had clincals once weekly and they were 8hr shifts. Then second semester if my memory is correct, we had clinicals twice weekly, each 8hrs as well. Every program is different, honestly.
@@LindaND6655 Hi Linda, the pharmacology instructor would give us packets with practice questions to go over in class. Also, I would review class lectures and practice questions on my own at home. Practice as many questions as possible.
Hi, thanks so much for subscribing, I appreciate the support ❤️ . I'm actually considering going back for the bridge program at the same school I attended for the LPN. For provicy purposes I cannot share it. I really wish I could !
@samanthamichelle2094 Ahh okay. We do cover peds nursing. And when it comes to NICU, it depends on if the hospital is hiring LPNs in that department. I'd definitely encourage you to do some job searches in your area to find out. I know LPNs who have worked med surge, ER, Cardiac ICU. Haven't meant one who's worked NICU before.
Hi, yes, total care is part of every nurse's responsibility. Typically, nurses work alongside nurse aids/techs to help with care. But the care of a patient is always under the nurse. Hope this answers your question! 😊
Hi, we had classes Mon-Fri 7-3p, and of course clinical days replaced class time. Clinicals were from 630a-3pm, some semesters they were once a week, others 2x weekly. Hope this helps!
LOL!! That's a good one missy! Surprisingly, we didn't have dosage calculation tests in the program I attended! We did have those questions in pharmacology exams, though.
