Hey Im a Medical Assistant and I have reached my cap. I'm starting LPN school in 2025
Hi, congratulations to you! Wishing you all the very best.
How long have you been a medical assistant?
@@SignedEmma thanks. Since 2018
@@imported4104 Oh yes, this should be a good transition for you!
I been a preschool teacher for 16 years.. I have been bored and could not grow to be a admin I’m deciding to take LVN. Trying to take pre req first
Hi, thanks for sharing! Nursing is very diverse. I'm sure you'll find a niche that'll suit your interests!
ive done the childcare for 12 years! im ready to switch to healthcare! i wish you the best of luck on your journey!!
I have been in retail for 19 years. Last year I went back to school for all my pre req. I will be starting the PN program in Jan 2025. working on the pre req was a struggle but I made it through. Change is always healthy.
Planning to be a kindergarten teacher i love working with kids. But the pay is not enough to the bills. My kids are growing. Now I changed my mind I’m interested in getting LVN I love helping people too.
I’m a new phlebotomist and I’m gonna Finnish my pre requisites done for Lvn school ! I’m so excited
Hi Jared! Good luck with your journey to LVN school! It's definitely exciting!!
Thank you so much for this. I've applied to a program but won't hear back until April. You break it down really well.
Your so welcome! Glad it helped, and best of luck to you! 🙏🏽
Hello , Thank you for uploading ! Starting my Lpn program in March , it’s 15 months ,Im so nervous but excited !

@@shab5204 Thank you for the support! ❤️
Great video ❤
@gabbymiles5655 Thanks so much Gabby! ❤️
I'm thinking about doing it. You're making me excited. Although I could barely hear you in this video 😢
Hi! I definitely think you should do it! I'm so sorry you couldn't hear me well. I'm currently working on bettering my audio!
Hi Emma, thanks for this video. I am looking to start my LPN next month and this video is timely.
Hi Naomi, so glad the video was helpful to you! And Congrats on getting into the program! Feel free to leave any questions you may have about LPN school. ❤️
Off topic but you’re so beautiful. Thanks for the informative video
Awe, thank you! And you're welcome 😊
Ive been accepted into LPN School and got my prerequisite classes ready for spring and summer to cut my time shorter. Plus in my college if youre CNA (HCA) in Canada, i get exempted from a course and get to do a test that also exempts you for another course.
Hoping i pass this! Definitely willing to put in the work for it. Wish me luck!
Congratulations on your acceptance! ❤️
How long is your program?
@@SignedEmma it's about 2 to 3 years. 2 years if you're doing in person. 3 to 4 years if you're doing it online. I'm just doing the open study so that way I can cut my time shorter online that way it will be within the two-year mark.
@kasugayuuki1438 oh wow 2-4 years is a long time for LPN. It's interesting how Canada does things!
Hello everybody! Im from Guatemala, currently living in Florida and I really really want to go to lpn school but idk if my english is enough 😟
Hi, My best advice to get counseling about the courses needed to get into the program. They should be able to tell you what classes are needed (often times you have to take pre requisites first before getting into the program). If you're able to pass and those pre requisites then you should be fine for nursing school. Hope this helps!
I graduate from an LVN program in August 🎉 . It's an uphill battle to say the least 😅
Lol!! Hang in there sis! You're almost at the finish line ❤️
Any idea where you want to work post grad?
@@SignedEmma yes, I actually want to go into the so-called happy nursing! I would like to work post-op and run a recovery house for cosmetic surgical patients and provide concierge for home health services!
@@thenurseadvocate8799 I love this for you! GO FOR IT!! ❤️
Great information! Was a CNA for 6 years now doing the LPN program. 5 more classes I am done. Any advice for A&P
Hi! Honestly A&P is all about memorization. Just reviewing the material until you're able to retain the information. Flash cards also help!
Wishing you all the best in your remaining courses missy! ❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience. Please how many hour of clinical do you have per weeks?
The clinical hours differed a lot, but in the beginning of the program we typically had clincals once weekly and they were 8hr shifts. Then second semester if my memory is correct, we had clinicals twice weekly, each 8hrs as well. Every program is different, honestly.
Thank you so much for your support ❤
Hi Emma, Please can you share your experience on how you prepared the dosage calculation exam?
@@LindaND6655 Hi Linda, the pharmacology instructor would give us packets with practice questions to go over in class. Also, I would review class lectures and practice questions on my own at home. Practice as many questions as possible.
hi thanks for the info new subie ! i live in houston and currently looking for an LPN program do you have any suggestions?
Hi Lattie! So glad you found my channel ❤️ I don't live in Texas so I wouldn't know where to start for LPN program recommendations 😅 My best advice is to search in your area, starting with technical colleges. Best of luck with your searches!
@@SignedEmma thank you so much
@@LattieLayaha of course!
I start a 13 month LVN program in November I'm so nervous!
Hi, congrats on getting into the program! Sending you all best wishes on this journey! You got this ❤️
Do you use the same lvn training if you are working in a pediatric or nicu department... or do you have to take separate classes?
Hi I'm not sure I understand you question. Are you asking if LVNs can practice in peds/NICU departments?
@@SignedEmma yes and if they teach you about peds/ nicu care in lvn school
@samanthamichelle2094 Ahh okay. We do cover peds nursing. And when it comes to NICU, it depends on if the hospital is hiring LPNs in that department. I'd definitely encourage you to do some job searches in your area to find out. I know LPNs who have worked med surge, ER, Cardiac ICU. Haven't meant one who's worked NICU before.
@SignedEmma oh thats good to hear! Yes, I have to look into that, as well as LVN programs ( I was thinking Nightingale College). Thank you 😊
@samanthamichelle2094 That's great missy! Good luck to you on your journey! ❤️
I have to take ati do you know whats the score you hwbe to hebonthe exit ati
Hi, the nursing program you're looking into should provide the average score for their program. The score depends on the school you attend.
New subscriber and senior lpn student. Great information! Which school did you attend?
Hi, thanks so much for subscribing, I appreciate the support ❤️ . I'm actually considering going back for the bridge program at the same school I attended for the LPN. For provicy purposes I cannot share it. I really wish I could !
Do I have to do bed baths as a lpn?
Hi, yes, total care is part of every nurse's responsibility. Typically, nurses work alongside nurse aids/techs to help with care. But the care of a patient is always under the nurse. Hope this answers your question! 😊
How was your weekly schedule?
Hi, we had classes Mon-Fri 7-3p, and of course clinical days replaced class time. Clinicals were from 630a-3pm, some semesters they were once a week, others 2x weekly. Hope this helps!
Did you attend a community college or institute?
Hi, I attended a technical college for the LPN program 😊
When u say google is your best friend especially for ATI u mean Quizlet got the answers 😅
Lol! If you know you knowww ❤️
How much you paid
Hi, my program was about $6,500.
