There are just SO many little baby girl patterns out there to sew with it's unbelievable and you'll have a fine time picking choosing and sewing some lovely little garments for Layla for sure - I used Oliver and S patterns when my 8 year old daughter was a baby. They have this beautiful little dress called the bubble dress which would be perfect for the summer time amongst other adorable styles. And your plans for April, I can't wait to see them all made up. That Vamire's wife style dress being self drafted is easy peasy! You'll have alot of fun working it out but it's not complicated at all. I self drafted something very similar a couple of years ago (it's now a house dress). Such a simple yet very elegant style that will totally suit you.
