Gotta say, I thought I was gonna be frustrated that this series was pushing out CS content but I'm actually enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would! Which has gotta be down to you honestly, I hope we get plenty more Manor Lords in future
New to the game and the channel. Your calmly presented passion for the atmosphere of the Manor Lords is very refreshing. I think you've done an excellent job on this series of videos and would love to see more in the future. Best of luck
Really enjoying watching you build in this series. It's suited for you!! I hope you will continue to do more!! Loved the battle and your village is looking really lovely 🤩
Another great episode! I believe since one of the updates you now have to buy either goats or pigs after doing the upgrade to the home. Maybe you've done it already and I missed it
Absolutely love this game. Lots of novel elements from a city builder perspective; the burgage plot system is fantastic, and the attention to detail for the transportation of goods makes the population feel very alive and believable. The added RTS element makes one much more invested in success, though, which I enjoy. Normally with city builders, progression can feel like a bit of a slog, particularly Cities Skylines when playing with milestones. Manor Lords adding a survival/threat element makes it much more important to be checking all your boxes consistently, which I find engaging.
27:29 That was how life was back then. They didn't exactly have spy satellites and cell phones to keep an eye on the troop movements of their enemies and call in advanced warning, if they even knew they had any enemies in the first place. Most often, the small farming villages in the countryside would be burned and everyone killed long before the lord of the land ever knew invaders were even there. It was usually someone getting curious about smoke rising on the horizon and going for a look or a travelling merchant turning back to avoid being captured that alerted the lord. Then of course, the lord had to send out word to everywhere else to come to the walls of the city to protect it if they even had walls, further sacrificing the more remote villages with the hopes that pillaging by as yet unpaid soldiers would entice the enemy to slow down and buy time to prepare. It all was all such a lengthy process that it resulted in countless villages being wiped off the map that we will never know about, but so long as the main city survived, people would always eventually spread out and start farms again, only to get slaughtered the next time some angry chap decided he didn't like that particular town. To combat this issue, at 25:57 you see your bridge that crosses the river, perhaps your housing and industry should be moved over there giving you faster access to move your troops there. Or better yet, increase the population enough that you can recruit troops from that region and they can supply their own defense. Or better yet still, build another manor over there and recruit an additional retinue unit. Ideally each region should have their own force to delay or outright defeat the enemy, with any additional regions being the reinforcements for the one being attacked. If the entirety of your army all comes from one region, well, you're just going to have to deal with the fact that travel time is a thing and you're going to have raids doing significant damage before you can turn them back.
If you only have more advanced wearables like shoes for higher burgage plots, does that mean the level 1 plots will be unhappy if there are no basic wearables like leather or linen? In other words, do shoes satisfy the clothing requirement for lvl 1 burgages? Does anyone know?
Shoes do not satisfy clothing needs. Leather does, which you get from hides, which you get from the hunting lodge and goat pens, which you should already have enough of if you're making shoes. The idea being that with leather, your townspeople are able to make and patch up their own basic clothes. Shoes are a more "advanced" need.

That battle on the bridge definitely worked in your favour! Would love to see this series continue even once you’ve conquered all the land
Took me a while to catch up on this series but I’m loving it. Such a nice accompaniment to the CS content
I was just thinking last night "I hope we get a new Monor Lord video soon" and here it is. Thanks Egg, love this series.
Love the manor lord series! Keep up the hard work Egg!🎉
That was a lot of action and growth in one episode. I LOVED it! Bravo!

Think you need more people in the Store and Granary to get more stalls in the market, they're the only buildings which now supply it.
Another gem! If you get the population, would you be willing to attempt an open field battle?
For sure! Two more provinces to go, I imagine we'll meet him in Tausendbruck on the open field
Hey Egg, great series. Looking like you don't know this, did u know u only get tax from the Level 2 plus bugage plots?
Methinks M'lud needs to read up on Apiaries... begging yer pardon sire, we mays have more than we can service.

does your breadbasket need some bees to boost fertility?
When are they gonna add knights with horses?
Soon, its on Greg's list. He has turned his attentions now toward new features over bug fixing
First? 😂🎉
:)
Been watching a few content creators play this game. It's an interesting builder style but too much micro managing everything I find.
