This radio is known as different brands like the CRT SS 7900 / Radioddity QT60 / Anytone 5555 N2 and the CRT SS 8900 but that one has a shorter chassis.
I didn't know about the newer version I'll have to look it up. This video was actually filmed a little while back I'm a little late getting it uploaded. My radio was the newest version at the time of the video lol
@@remington1608 the newer one has a new board, a smaller case, and extra features. If you Google CRT ss8900 you'll see. It's expected to come out under the Anytone and Radioddity brands as well.
Yeah knob selector could be better, it's not too bad for the channelized tuning but for vfo frequency tuning I wish it was a bit smoother but it gets the job done. Thanks for watching
Yeah the radio has some quirks but not a bad radio for the Money. I will probably do a follow up video in the near future and go over my likes and dislikes of the rig.

And there's an even newer version out now (same as the CRT ss8900, which is also new).

Nice radio
Prety good reception. Very Hard knob selector

You should have showed us how to modify it for 11 meters.
In hindsight I probably should have, but there are other videos of the modification on RUclips.
I hope it doesn't give up on you. Mine lost its receive after only 5 months and no help from the manufacturer.
Man that's too bad, so far mines been going good.
ANYTONE is a good unit for the money but is very cheaply built in certain aspects..
