I have been married for 30 years coming up soon Rowe. Thanks for the love story. You write like a person from an older generation. Your voice sounds like you’ve got some good years left. Keep up the good work. Any topic you use is a pleasure to listen to so far.
Interesting story, very well told so far. I like the ocean floor mining aspect , especially after the recent Dark Oxygen discovery, which for many was also a discovery of the ability to mine the ocean floor. . Stealthy! P.S. Amazing again . and i think i heard a hint of the always a bridesmaid community story - Space Pets!? And " THE RIGHT THING! " always a difficult to define law of any ethical code, but we know in our gut.
@@RoweLit Thanks for all your great stories . I know its just a drop in your ocean, but I'm proud to see a suggestion used. Also I'm expecting "Misfits " tomorrow and ill be donating it to our little Rowlett library.
@@RoweLit I delivered it today at lunch and , but one lady was nice the other a little officious - telling me :it is not their department and it will probably not be included in the main collection and it would likely end up in a future book sale" and was i ok with that.? I told here I'd. much prefer it be available to be checked out. - So i won't know its fate. for a bit , but I may gift another to someone who will appreciate it., at some point.
Unlike many in this series, I think you could transpose most of this story into a modern setting. I guess the most sci-fi element is the tower, by necessity, linking the dock directly to a zone without the expected laws in place. I guess the modern equivalent would be a modern port abutted by a city who didn't respect the same rules the port did. Still I really liked the point that some cargo is not replacable at any price. You can only meaningfully insure fungible items.
Love how you left it ambiguous concerning the insurance fraud. Was anyone at the company involved in the theft? We'll never know. Or will we? Great character building. Love to read about them again. Is she also terminated?
Cheers, Buddy! I suppose the Muse leaves us in the same state as the characters at the end. Nobody's fired yet, nor caught. The ships keep coming and going, though.
Today is a good day. Any day with a new story from Rowe is a good day.

I am a little slow getting to it but thanks P.E. Rowe.
