My brother Peter moved to Kauai to live on the beach abd surf. While bussing and then waiting tables he became a massage therapist and one of his clients was a couple who was pregnant with a little girl who would grow up to overcome losing her arm to a shark. She continues to surf. Pete is now a real estate broker but like most locals on the island they know who is who and many are linked in ways that one might barely predict.
Take it from a combat vet. You are very right that "You feel the most alive when you are so close to death". Great story, I love the ones with adrenaline junkies like myself. Keep it up and thank you again for sharing these with us.
The weather has been lousy in England the last week. The only bright spot has been that I've been able to finish listening to all the stories you've posted. I remember excitedly reading Asimov's Foundation series in a couple of days as a boy over 50 years ago. Listening to your stories gave me the same pleasure I had then. Thank you
Wow, Manas! Thank you 😃 I know that feeling, and it's humbling to hear that my stories are so meaningful for you. Very grateful you're listening and enjoying so much 🙏
Well done! Just enough detail. Just enough mystery. A good portion of thoughtfulness and a bit of heart-stopping action. The perfect recipe for a great yarn! Thanks
Excellent as always. Well worth the wait. Started reading Thursday but missed your voice so I quit. As i already enjoy Nik Hein’s work, it’s nice to hear you’re recommending him 💜,🐥
@@RoweLit indeed , thanks.. also a cool thumb and the name Looper. As a surname in Dutch it means runner. which fits the story . Could be lots of cool stories for a "runner" though it seems you have some "runners" - two young women if i recall. with a bot with an invisible suit. Their names escape my this morning.
Just out the door for a hike. Guess what I’m listening to. Hooked on Rowe! Question: Do your people use entangled particles for communication into deep space?
Wow! Congratulations on your 100th episode milestone. Cheers 🥂 ❤ How you take mining and encapsulate the exact feeling of skydiving and rock climbing 😍🤩 I hope you are secretly writing an autobiography. I'd love to compare it to the one Im making up in my head for you. 😂
Thanks, Tara! It's been a lot of fun. As for the autobiography, it'll be pretty short and go something like: "Dude sat at keyboard, made things up, talked into microphone, and repeated the process a lot. Occasionally, he stopped for long enough to sleep." 🤣
@@RoweLit 😂 That's why I'm always encouraging you to take time for yourself. Your level of craft is heart, soul and imagination all in for 110%. Wishing you all the good things life has to offer. Call it Karma for giving something so beautiful to the world. 🤗 👵
Another thoroughly enjoyable story start to finish P.E. I’m working on a tedious home improvement project and it’s great to have something fun to listen to.
I am a little bit behind on your stories. Life got a little busy! Thanks for another amazing story!!!! It always brightens my day to see you post a new one!
Fantastic adventure! Is that a hint we may one day hear the final chapter of Oscar's tragic life? The saddest man I know. Linnea Howard found restoration.....
Nice! I was a history minor in college. While I never could do anything with just a BS, I could, and sometimes did, read history for pleasure. In a few millennia I'm sure (considering we went from first flight to the moon in less than 100 years) that almost all history will have to be specialized.
Wow. I can’t believe your stuff is not streaming. I guess cost would be an issue to make it as meaningful as when we listen. One awesome story after another …
Thanks - random comment for length 😁 In this case there isn't a need to overcomplicate what needs to be done going forward, a Palestinian state needs to be recognized with sane and contiguous borders. What happens after will be painful but not overly complicated either, IL needs to withdraw from settlements outside their borders and an internationally overseen buffer needs to be put into place for awhile to keep both sides honest.
Really enjoyed this one. I was going to jerk your chain. I was going to accuse you of being lazy, not getting your narration out on time, and releasing the text. You know i am too lazy to read it myself, but too impatient not to. I mean, what kind of mind game is that. Ultimately, i decided to like comment and stay subscribed. I hope you learned from this because i didn't. Then again, no surprise there. 😊
Thanks, David! 😂I'm not sure I learned much I didn't know already, but I'm glad I didn't rush with the way my voice was mid-week 😀 Glad you enjoyed it!
@RoweLit completely missed it was the 100th congratulations. You have said something about voice problems in the past. I don't know what the issue is, and you don't have to share, but I hope it isn't serious and wish you the best of luck dealing with it.
@@davidgipson7140 Thanks, David. No, not serious. And honestly, the best way to deal with it is to give it a couple days and record when I can. So I do that now as opposed to trying to force the issue as I have in the past. I try to take it as a subtle reminder that I'm not in control on this journey 😃
Thanks, TowerCardReader. I hadn't heard of libro, but I'll look into it. There may be some license issues with Audible that preclude this, so I'm not sure. I appreciate your bringing it to my attention.
Congratulations on 100!
Thanks, Isaac! 😃🙏

Well spent one hour, eleven minutes and 49 seconds indeed. The story and narration were a cliffhanger for the previously mentioned time. Hats off.

As exciting as any adventure from Jack London.
Thanks, Deplorable! Unfortunately Filoni owns the space wolf genre or your comment would totally tempt me to go there 😂
