    Silovs is calm and solid enough to win the series. Give Demko to heal and prepare for several more days to start next series and the Cup

      big thing with Demko is how long has he been out for - 2 months? I Know he played a couple of games prior to going back on I.L. but I don't really count those. He needs to be @ top of his game when he comes back - Silvos' net until he loses which IMO will be game 1 against Dallas. Then you put Demko in IF he's actually ready

    Not worried about the goalie situation, play Silovs and win Game 6 is all I'm worried about

  • @bblvrable
    @bblvrable 15 дней назад +1

    It's hard to say what the best option for Edmonton is. They are facing elimination, so maybe a change is necessary. Wouldn't want to be Knoblauch.
    For Vancouver, it's simple. Silovs plays on Saturday, regardless of Demko's status. He's earned that much. If he loses on Saturday, if Demko is 100%, I'd say put him in for game 7. Let's be honest, as crap as Skinner has been this series, let's not forget that every single game has been a 1-goal game. By game 7, he'll have lost 3 of the previous 6, that's not exactly a stellar performance.
    Of course, it also entirely hinges on how the goalies are performing in practice and how they're feeling. That's why I think a lot of the analysts suggesting what "needs to be done" are being silly because the coach is going to make that decision based on what he saw out of his goalies on the ice during practice.

  • @Parture
    @Parture 15 дней назад +2

    Oilers better put Pickard in because Pickard played great. The winning 3rd goal was absolutely impossible to save. Bouchard's idiotic move could have been saved but really not that easy; the puck went through his legs, and the 2nd goal top corner was almost impossible. So there was 1 maybe 2 inhuman saves out of 3. Pickard has a sense of what he needs to do to win, so he will perform. Skinner is out of the loop. The blame falls entirely on the Oiler's defense. When you compare the two teams you learn something. You learn that Vancouver has a way better overall plus minus ratio which shows that Oilers make too many mistakes. I don't know how they overcome their stupidity. They have the skill but lack the DEFENSIVE MINDEDNESS. It's the same problem every year which is bad +/-. They never learn. The coaches don't teach defensiveness to the level needed to win. Where is the patience to wait it out? Why keep dumping it in? Try to make controlled pushes of the puck into the offensive zone. Be willing to take the puck back to the red line if an opening doesn't appear to exist. By taking this approach you control everything at the outset.
