I'm 60 years old and play this at least twice a week. Love it 😀
That's what's up, you must be one kool lady
The boomer version of going on any 40+ year old song and saying you're 14 but love that music lol
Respect 😍
who cares
No matter what the age. Music is subjective. Glad you love it! I can't believe you found this one especially 6 months ago. Great starter though.
When this came out I remember how different and fresh it sounded. Ground breakingly good. More than a decade later, it still holds up.
Looks like this crap just like it sounded when it came out as well
@@elwrayexplores3575 You don't just happen upon this, you CAME HERE to hate on it lol. Nasty work.
First dubstep i ever listened to in my life

Thank you ;D
Very ear opening

ill never forget back in 2010 in high school, my friends and i were smoking and one of our friends told us about dubstep and none of us had heard of it at the time, so he played this song. words cant explain how insane this sounded to me while high at 15 years old lol i kept saying it sounded like transformers having sex haha brings back amazing memories
you had a pretty tough childhood
Same 😂
yes dudeee literally transformer sex that's what I would say xD
I feel you! Those first experiences are priceless. For me I was 21 - had a studio set up for mixing dubstep with the lads and I got to see all these artists in their prime during the "golden days" It was years and years of doing / going to dub gigs from there!
@@fdpunchypops7814 you in the UK or US? I too was a hang around, did some shit on Abelton but never anything that I could release, and my DJ skills werent there really so never played any bigger venues than a house party, but I remember the dubstep forums and remember hanging around the DJ's who were around and basically just getting engulfed by the wubs. I miss those days...I did find a fairly unique way to do LFO wobbles though and showed some folks who showed some folks and that kinda caught on, but ye that's bout it lol
This song is ten years old and imma be listening in 2020 that just shows how good excision and datsik are
Immortal Wombat too bad datsik is a piece of shit
@@silver-di8qp Datsik is still a OGC
There's a separation between the artist and their work.. The power of bass comes from pure intentions, the artist is a mere conduit of the energy being expressed
Couldn’t have been said better
Nursing home goina be lit in 40 years
Listened to this for like 13/14 years. It’s still fucking bangin’
I'm 72 years old and have seen Excision and Datsik live. I love all kinds of music, and have always been a fan of live concerts. Younger kids would always talk to me at the concerts and couldn't imagine how someone older would get into this. My daughter's friends said that I must be the coolest dad ever. I higher compliment could have never been said. ☠️💀😵💫🤔
If this is real then W dad bro your so cool
Yes, this is indeed true!
Sheeeeeeit!
To quote my dad “woah that sounds cool”
cap.
Anyone here in 2024? ❤
Yea I as at local club and a cat dj dropped this
I remember when I first heard this in 2011. In my sisters friends brand new blue mustang, cruising country roads smoking weed and having the time of my life listening to this. 2009-2011 was the best year for dubstep period.
i remember when these guys just arrived on the scene and to watch them now being 2 of the biggest names in the scene is fantastic
yes
datsik fell off hard tho and we both know it
@@LolSaiYes well there's a reason for that lol
@@bfiremitch ahahha i mean even outside of THAT....his music quality dropped immensely imo, regardless of him being a piece of shit :p
I still remember going to an Excision show and just chillin' by the speakers. I got a shout out🤣 I was totally vibing!
That breakdown at 1:01 is too iconic
"Guess I got my swagga back!"
How I feel everytime I listen to old school Dubstep in 2020 + lol.
heck yeah
guess i got my sweater back*
And then you listen to Burial - Archangel
Guess i got my nostalgia back.
This track will never lose it's swagga.
Nothing will ever get close to the quality of the old Dubstep tracks. dubstep in its purest essence
This song goes hard Excision & Datsik are truly incredible together
Evil's Bass Mixes LOL same person
Stephen Ricks No, they aren't. Why would you even think that???
sawe them back to back at lost lands

I was looking for someway to say this lol
it's definitely nasty...

I really miss oldschool tracks like this :)
JackWerewolfOfficial Lol this isn't old school.

+awesomefacepalm OMG wow, thats a good way to describe it actually! LMAO
idk what kind of diarrhea u heard in your life... I'm assuming only yours, but robotic? that's fucked up hahahaha
😂😂😂
That's called vomitstep im not even kidding
Dang, this song still hits you like a Mack truck. Honestly, this was when dubstep went hard...It still kinda does these days, but definitely not as much.
You REALLY have to look hard...
Nostalgia goggles on way too tight there, buddy
these days dubstep has been sort of warped into two genres, true TRUE dubstep like this, or like cookie onsta - optimus prime, you know, actual dubstep.
Then you have pretty much all the other stuff, the kinda stuff most of what the youtube channel dubstep gutter labels as dubstep even though 2/3rds of what's on their channel isn't even dubstep. most of it's bigroomhouse-step
This was peak ngl
Jam PRD, bloodthinnerz, Megalodon still keep it real
@Ty2345 that's not true dubstep now is definitely heavier than old dubstep old dubstep isn't meant to be headbanged to it's meant to be listed to and appreciate new dubstep is more focused on headbanging genres like riddim, death step, brostep etc... but there is quiet a lot of new dubstep that is pretty melodic and soft that's not heavy it's something that you just vibe to and also old dubstep wasn't very melodic and colorful it was very dark gritty new dubstep especially brostep is out of this world quite wacky and it can go any at direction old dubstep is is definitely dirty and heavy but you can't go crazy and headbang to it brostep is heavy and the most important thing energy that's what's missing from old dubstep don't get me wrong i really like old dubstep i listen to it quite a lot but i prefer new dubstep more
I played this in train wagon
Now its a swagon
tos dojebal jak lysy grzywka o kant pilki XD

Squidward Dubstep Dance.

I actually came here bcz of that.

Weird to think this was one of the first songs I heard that got me stuck on the genre and how much it has evolved in just the last 4 years since I started listening.
4 years old and still epic!
11 years old sill epic
13 years and still slaps.
a full decade later and this is still what i play to deal with my headaches
I have all these classics in organized playlists. Dubstep from 2004 to current, you name it. This however was my favorite tune as well as Nuke Em. These guys are truly the pioneers of heavy Dubstep.
what i would do to get my hands on that collection
please respond to this, i had all my old hdds wiped
@@iAnon666 I am hoping they reply as well I'm curious what's in that collection myself. I've been taking a travel in the way back machine this last week and this one brought back some memories.
REPLY!
Could you share it please lol
Bro, how did you understand that dubstep came out in 2004, although it came out in 2009-2023
The golden age of dubstep
To be honest the older tracks like this one had more uniqueness in themselves compared to most songs nowadays. There's some good ones but the older songs just had something different.
thats simply because it was all new then. experimenting with new sounds and forming a solid blueprint for the future heads to use.
It's because producers nowadays just use presets and sample packs instead of actually making their sounds like how the producers back then used to
Listen to all of Evilwave's music. He is what you're looking for.
@Super Sharp Shooter Hey, that's true. I even have a similar comment to yours on the "Alive (Hardwell Remix)" video. About how people always think that a song sounds better when it's older. But in this case, I'm talking about the "uniqueness" of this particular song, like the original comment mentioned. And how a lot of songs nowadays don't have that aspect because of overuse of sample packs and presets. I didn't say that songs nowadays sound worse than songs back then. In fact, I actually prefer today's dubstep to dubstep back in 2010.
@@paul_nthny
Yeah they sounded like the music that invading alien robots would impose on us after their invasion. Its great
Dubstep and Bass are the greatest achievements of humans.
Wild... So many memories.. ❤️
this is one of the best dubstep songs I have ever heard!
Grim Reaper This is Brostep.
+TheBennychin its totally not its dubstep in its true form brostep is skrillex and zomboy.
+LordSmasher Fuck off . Go listen Distance and tell me what genre of music he produces.
dude dont fucking teach me k? dubstep is 70-80 bpm brostep is 140-150 now fuck off and distance is also dubstep
+TheBennychin shut . the . fuck . up
I felt so much pleasure to here a dubstep song I've never heard before that is so good. Dubstep is still alive but its golden age is right here.
T-Feather This is Brostep, not Dubstep. Dubstep IS still alive, but this isn't Dubstep. Dubstep's golden age isn't in 2009, it's in 2005-2007.
+TheBennychin are there any tracks from that time on youtube

Ikr
im as old as this song.. kinda
This just opens up a folder in my brain of dead hypnotic memories from a decade ago.
I really hope Datsik gets his swagger back!
Tarman The Champion he won’t
He sorta did!
Nah
You want a rapist to get their swagger back?
@@FEEDTHESTRAYMUSIC sure
I'm going down memory lane with all these dubstep songs. I was in high school during this phase. I remember piling my friends into my mustang and we'd drive up to school with this stuff blaring. We thought we were so cool... awkward. I wish I could go back in time. I had the best high school experience, and I contribute many of my good times to the music. *teardrop*
still here a decade later
Soooo nostalgic >w
Excellent use of sounds, especially the sub bass. It sounds great with my Audio-Technicas
Damn I miss the old dubstep 😢 good times 💜 I rolled like there was no tomorrow to this. I miss you 2009. Best year of my life!
Goddamn a decade old and still the hardest dubstep song to ever exist!!!!!
My man...
Excision - Subsonic was released on the same age and this shit is still dope
You should check it
Dubstep never gets old
U know it!
the bass dropped so hard my ears jizzed
That wasn't jizz.. it was blood.
I'm still listening to it
This song is 10 years old. I will be back next year
hace 6 años que escuché esta canción, y hasta los momentos me la sigo vacilando...
It's nearly 2017 & I'm finally getting my swagga back
2018 here 😎
Intervention or UMP, Favela..can remember parts of specific games listening to this. Always blasting this type of dubstep and MW2 back then. Where's the time machine, lemme go back.
hype days
it's good to go back and listen the classics dope one
Squidward dances to Dubstep
Lol me too :D
what?
True fact: Squidward plays acoustic dubstep on his clarinet. The citizens of Bikini Bottom don't like it because they don't know dubstep
Egan Jackson Now I like squid ward even more
***** no, it's from a video
Still listening to this in 2k19.
Havn't listened to this in years, still get bass chills from the drops
2023 and it still bangs 🔥🔥
First heard this at demf I don't remember the year could've been anytime between 2008 -2010 had no idea who excision or datsik was. Third time taking Molly we get there and we figure we'd just go from stage to tent and whatever we liked we would stay. Had no clue what dubstep was. Molly kicks in as soon as the sets starts the song playing is this one. No bullshit look it up changed my life forever. Song still gives me goosebumps to this day.... If 2018 is og then idk what you can call me but damn I must have been around awhile lol
Some of my favorite acts seeing up close and personal? With easily less than 200 people there?
Functcase less than 100 easy at a club downtown Ann arbor playing a pop up show for golf claps bday
The genetlemans club remember walking back in from a smoke and seeing them in front of 9 people. ( Yes Solomon 50 carrot and coffi) at the works.
Figure around 150 can't remember name of place of of fort St
Eptic less than 100 tangent lounge
Datsik has been making tracks like this for a while now, I've liked Datsik since day one and I think it's cool he's starting to expand and make more melodic-sounding tracks. I saw him in concert less than 3 weeks ago though, and believe me, he's still dropping some seriously heavy tracks.
Still coming back to this banger. Excision was years ahead of schedule
I was onstage maybe like 3 feet away from Datsik last night at the Imagine music festival in Atlanta and when he played this everyone went crazy.
You are keeping it original my friend!! You never dissapoint . Keep it up!
Jordon Thomson that’s what’s uh
The beat hit me so hard that my nose broke

I called 911. Help is on the way.
I've been listening to Excision for nearly 10 years.
Datsik for a good amount too
Man this song holds some crazy memories for me, still an absolutely iconic track
Hopefully when 2020 ends we all get our swag back!
The Harlem shake died but this song will never die because it's a legend
About 7 years too late but I see what you mean
