    Any honest way of making a living is a wonderful thing, but I have to admit that I hate the way resellers have caused the thrift stores in my area to hike prices! It seems that they think if YOU can sell if for five time what they sell it for, they can do it too, so prices are going up like crazy! We have tons of Goodwills that get tons of high end items donated, but most of the time the only people I run into shopping there are resellers because prices are too high, sometimes even higher than what the item sold for new in the store!!

    • @billzukley1616
      @billzukley1616 3 года назад

      It's cyclical. The store gets a new manager, he/she wonders why they can't charge more with all the resellers buying there, so they raise prices. The resellers stop buying and stock piles up, literally. They have to start sending pallets of stuff directly to the outlet store where it only brings $1.20/pound, and senior management tells them to lower their prices and MOVE THE STOCK. Prices come back down. Rinse and repeat. If you are in the business long enough, you will see it happen many times.

      @@billzukley1616 I'm not in the business at all, I just buy for my family. Like I said, I love thrifting and am happy someone can make a good living at it! I have now found a local thrift store to frequent as my Goodwill was selling some items for more than their new price! Still a good idea to run through them once in a while as I still find an amazing deal now and then.

    You need to rethink your travel plan. Get the largest 2 carry-ons to take with you...one “personal” item that can fit under your seat and one big one for the overhead bins. Then plan to put all your heaviest items in the carryons when you fly home...and see if it’s cheapest then to ship or use a suitcase for your return...but ack light items in this last package to maximize the amount you can get in it! I fly lots....it’s always my best strategy. Love you guys!! You’re both terrific and inspiring

    I don’t know how close you are to an airport with Southwest, but they are the BEST luggage friendly airline I have encountered. For flying places to search for merch would probably be the most practical. Sometimes it is worth the extra drive just to save of luggage cost. We (my wife and I) travel 4.5 hours from Louisiana to Dallas to fly with them to Pheonix, which is where my wife is from, and check 4 suitcases total, 1 filled with our clothes and 3 empty ones to fill with gifts for our return. Southwest gives 2 FREE checked bags each (as long as you stay in the size and weight limit) AND a carryon and personal item. The only downfall is not being able to choose seats. If you do go this route, research how the seats work for the most comfortable experience, especially when traveling with someone.

Im curious as to how many people have a thermal printer vs a regular printer.
