Hayley and I hit up the flea market, goodwill AND the bins in one morning and found some GREAT items to flip online BUT...was this flea market deal too suspicious? What would you have done?

Shame more are not like him this is business you need to form relationships. Best form of anything in business is you opening your mouth if you don't how you going to succeed.
My late daughter had a Stealth bat like the one you found. It meant so much to her we even buried it with her. She was a great softball player and seeing that one brought back so many good memories. Thank you for sharing your finds!

I agree with Haley. I always thought that one of the benefits of being self employed is that you didn’t have to get up at 7 am. I mean, it looks like half the dealers aren’t even set up yet.
The thrift stores in Australia are so much different, they would never ever sell by weight they like to sell every piece individually and make as much as they can 🤔.

Our "normal" thrift stores are priced individually. The "bins" stores are where items go after sitting for a month at the normal thrift store and being marked down a few times. From there items go to either the dump or fabric reclaimers by the pallet. It's not uncommon to see people looking for brass / other metals and buying them by the pound and going straight to the scrap yard with them.

A cool tip regarding goodwill coming from someone that works at goodwill lol coming first thing in the morning makes ZERO difference the stuff is put out all through out the day. Not at night
I go after work about 4 pm daily and pull great things I here this misinformation is why I unscribed to shed flips
@@philbrougher6812 yeah at the goodwill I work at we put stuff out all during the day and we’ve actually just been told to kinda raise our prices sense a lot of people are going to goodwill for sourcing. And goodwill wants to make the money lol
An added benefit of that flea market is the ability to build relationships, which turns into better deals - sometimes bulk deals - which then betters the relationship, which then ....

Here in New Zealand, if you go to a garage sale or flea market, most people will just sell stuff close to new prices. It's increasingly hard to find people who just want to get rid of stuff

If it blows your mind I watch everything at 2X speed on RUclips. I worked up to that speed when listening to school audio textbooks. When I watch or listen to anything at regular speeds it sounds like slow motion to me now. 😋

Enjoyed your video, I think you should wait for seller to say how much he is charging instead of offering $20 for calculator .
If it’s worth $20 nothing wrong with offering them $20. If you can sell it for a profit then he could not have made much more had he paid less. In short if you are bargaining on items that are $20 then you are not making money, as someone who has done this for over 30 years and owns a large thrift store I can tell you that you must buy and sell a lot of items to make a large amount of money.
I've seen him offer more than seller was asking when he thinks there not asking enough. Which is pretty stand up guy!! Love this channel
@@cookingismypassion81 that's just stupid. If I'm doing it for business I'm not giving away my profit. It's up to seller to determine/know the value of their item. If their content getting $5 for it that's what they get.

@Hairy Tornado I learned how to watch videos at different speeds thanks to you explaining how in this video, I’m not surprised Chloe watches at the speed she does it’s really easy to follow and after a minute sounds fairly normal to my ear. Good thing your goods inspector approved of your bins purchases. It looked touch and go there for a while while he was checking it out whether it was going to get the howl of approval or not.
Sold another thing I learned from this Chanel, a Logitech remote / payed probably 25c at the bins , sold for 21.00 plus shipping

Just going to say I cook in a Nuwave everyday. We even opted out of putting in a microwave in our new home we moved into 4 years ago. We just use the Nuwave. Love it! I’m on my second one. And I have one in our cabin and RV too, they are awesome. Leslye

The thrift shops in the uk are much smaller but theres usualy bout 6 on one street and the flea markts are called bootsales but theres 350+ pitches in the bigger ones i mostly buy bikes game consoles and vintage stuff id have a feild day at the thrift shops in the usa awesome finds and searchin mate 🤘

Since you asked, yes, there are several booths/tables I would have been totally suspicious of. Not lumping everyone into one basket, but how can people have so many high dollar shoes? Guess I’ve seen too many videos of people looting and stealing from stores. Same goes with anything that’s new and still in the boxes. Anyway, I do enjoy watching you wheel and deal.
I find that while shopping at the bins, a discreet and quiet head-butt is my move of choice. Placement is key here. Followed up by a softly-spoken, "excuse me".
