very helpful video. love the sound of these. one complaint i always had was for phone calls. i know part of the issue is the mic is far from the mouth but where is the microphone? is it where the blue LED lights are? also, not sure if phone call quality can be improved. i also have the pro 2 se and the call is better but never will be as good as just a simple $20 dollar wired headphone like the ones that come with apple iphones
The phone call quality will be bad if you forget to turn off the ANC, because the headset will cancel your voice out. If your mic still won't pick up on your voice I'd consider bringing it in for service.
@@parmesane4611 i never use anc on these because it changes the sound signature enough that i dont like the way music sounds. ive tested these being on the other end and though i can still have a conversation, the voice sounds synthesized and theres just no match for a microphone next to my face. i own the pro 2 also and rhe call is better on the pro 2 but still no match to my jabra evolve 65 or wired earbuds u get from an iphone. although, i have to say that my wife just got some taotronics sound liberty 88 and i got s pair of fiil t1x earbuds and the call quality is better so 4 years of advancement is noticeable and at much lower prices

Do you know if anywhere sells replacement headband leather, I removed the one that was on mine because it was wearing out, and plan to just put one of the covers I can find on Amazon and eBay over the top of the foam and frame, as the faux leather band disintegrated.

In theory yes, open right cup and you will see the size which is for the battery. On Aliexpress you can find battery sellers which ofers battery for your own size, so you can check max size which will fit in the cup and get bigger size. I`m not sure why you need to do this. This replacement 650mAh a good one and perfectly fit. Good luck
thanks for the share, but i don't understand where the original battery was extracted from. I also note that the original battery connector is not equivalent to the new battery wires, and also i am surprized that the new battery is not connected to charge within the normal supply circuits, because there are some charging securities in tle loop that you are probably bypassing
for the rest, the new battery seems to fit well in the place you put it, and has the same caracteristics of the original one, also as this battery capacity already lasts more than 24 hours, i don't see the need for putting a larger one in replacement, specially considering that a larger one will be more heavy, and alter the balance of the earphones
this type of batteries can be bought on many chinese sites, for instance aliexpress
The original battery which you see on this vid had 2 wires as well. I just removed the protection board on it before I made this video so looks like this part was your question.
The new battery I looked with the same part number 5:04 423350 which usually describe the battery size 42mm*33m*5m
I have bought on Aliexpress and in description it was for this headphones model so it fit as original.

650mah original battery, if you get more mah battery it will be with bigger size and may not fit inside. I guess this model longlife. I have charged headphones about 1 time per 2 weeks or longer, so I don`t worry about longer battery. Also as a tip this Plantronics still works even if you connect the charging cable...
@@samlow9077 Yea i noticed that. With mine, when I plug it into a PC, it chimes and recognizes it. I did a test on the battery and dead. The only thing is, it is a 5000 MaH battery, which was the only one they had. Will that be overkill? The footprint is the same as the old one, but thicker by 1/8th of an inch.
@@TierfonOrbital it`s not possible to get 5000mah in this size, it`s falsification. try to search on aliexpress this battery number 423350 and you will get 100% replacement bat for the backbeat pro

Seriously a bread and butter knife works fine And may I suggest don't attempt to solder to the circuit board this takes skill and a super fine soldering iron instead cut the cables close to the old battery and join the leads it will be much safer for a novice. I am a technician with a very shaky hand.
