Btw if you want to upgrade try the Sony wh1000xm3 they do everything these do with better quality and construction ..Microphone, 30hr life and touch controls...slimmer and more durability and super foldable👌👌
Absolutely right!! Awesome sounding headphones with great battery life. Quite close to what you hear in your Bose especially with higher volume. Got mine on a trip to Malaysia and they are awesome. Only issue so far is the ear foams have worn off but yea its replaceable.
I know this is a old video but I had these headphones since they came out and they are awesome, my headphones came with a hard case and my headphones are still in great condition and they put so much tech in them .
I still use mine. I was so impressed with the sound that I did not really want to explore newer models. I tested many similarly priced devices, happy I went with these.
The crit over the 'hard shell case'...struck me as a little strange. Do you not have the option of the Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 "SE"? Comes with included hard case and in a better color than the regular version.
You always have the option to buy something else. I mentioned it because hard cases are generally part of the package when you have headphones that cost over $100, and my preference is a hard case and this ones doesnt come with.
Honestly I went to a pawn shop and I was looking for good headphones for the gym , at first I seen some beats solo 3 and tried them out but the fit wasn’t nice so I kept looking around and seen they had the PLT so thought I’ll give the PLT a go even though I didn’t know this brand existed so and honestly they were a much better fit and had better sound quality and loud bass if your into that
I'm working on a bluetooth disabled company laptop, would the headphone work with a usb bluetooth dongle? If it does, which bluetooth usb dongle? (not sure how many bluetooth dongle plantronics has) Thanks in advance And by the way, nice video!
For wireless gaming and low latency aptx, These or Sennheiser 4.50? i want headphones with aptx ll but for some reason doesn't seem to be many , i'm not completely sure if the sennheisers have it. lol
Plug & Play Reviews preferably no ear buds. I can use a wireless headset not necessarily with a boom mic but a good one nevertheless. Really like the Shivr but not certain about the mic quality on calls.
Hi, quick question. Intending to use this as a headset for video conferencing as most of us are now working from home. Worried that Bluetooth connection to the laptop will be sketchy (surface pro running windows 10, webex/skype/MS Teams). Do I need a separate Bluetooth dongle or can I use the inbuild Bluetooth connection? If all else fails, I will just get a cheap wired headset with a mic boom instead.
If it has built in Bluetooth you should be fine, you won't be far from the laptop so I would imagine it would be bad at all. If you did need to get a dongle I recommend this one amzn.to/2yhf5s4
@@JDubb received it today. 1st impressions, good sounding headphones. However, using as a headset for Skype seems a bit touch and go. Connection keeps dropping, and microphone not detected at times. Not sure whether it is the norm for this particular headset or Bluetooth ones in general.
Used it for a week. Audio wise is pretty good, connection is a breeze to phone and laptop. No lag whatsoever if watching Netflix and RUclips. However, using it as a headset is a miss. Connection with the laptop keeps dropping - no audio, mic not working at times. Could be a windows 10 issue.
I've had these for a little over 3 years now.. my honest opinion is I wouldn't recommend them. The sound is amazing.. and battery life.. but it stops there.. the actual switch button to turn on and off are an issue. I've had them in my bag and accidentally switched on, have left on over night by accident as it doesn't turn off with in activity. And the biggest issue is that damn button under the ear piece that pauses music when headphones are removed.. it pauses songs or RUclips randomly.. these are not good for the gym and I will never own a pair of Bluetooth headphones with automatic pausing when removing. I've gone to beats studio 3 and couldn't be happier.
@@JDubb I saw a review of Mpow H12 , Hybrid active Noise cancelling, forward and feedback ANC. On Amazon listed at $49.00 minus a $10 coupon, cane out to $39.99. Almost incredible.
gaming I'm assuming you're meaning on mobile devices?. If so I will say that the latency is very minimal but if you're playing anything seriously competitive you might consider getting something that has a specifically low latency. As far as sound goes for gaming, it's great, I think that the base is not too overbearing to wear it gets rid of those mids and highs that are really important when you need to hear slight sounds and video games
Are there any other Bluetooth dongles you would like to recommend? Avantree dongle which you recommended to other people is not available in India. Btw, love your videos man 😁

Much better sounding than my Bose SoundLink II.

💯
How loud are they? A lot of bluetooth headsets are lacking on volume.

Only the Special Editions come with the hard case. I have the same pair.
Thanks for doing the mic test. Business owners that like music often like to have a good reason to buy but not spend over 250
Totally, these are a great value
Is it sweat proof for the gym? I dont want to ruin the material from sweating if thats the case
Which one you recommend between JBL Live 650BTNC vs Philips PH805 vs BlackBeat Pro 2
Usage - Web Calls & Music
Hmmm for those dual need, probably the BackBeat IMO

How are they for gaming? primarily on console ps4&ps5?
Silly question but can these headphones work well as a plug in headphone?
Yes they do! They even come with the cable you need!

Ypu could indeed use it with a USB dongle, this one is what I usd for using all my headphones on my computer amzn.to/2wOF89k it works great! 😊
Thanks very much for sharing. I just bought the later +version used in original box 2021, costing Euro 60 + 17 courier Germany to Ireland
Awesome enjoy!

I haven't seen any with it yet TBH 😂
Hihi....is it good wireless gaming for note 10 plus on call of duty mobile? Sound will lag ? Tq sir 🥺🙏🏻
A little yea. You'll always get some latency issues with Bluetooth
Not with Plantronics voyager
What would you recommend for conferencing primarily?
Hmmm for conference calls... You specifically looking for headphones or earbuds? Not a dedicated speaker phone or anything?
Plug & Play Reviews preferably no ear buds. I can use a wireless headset not necessarily with a boom mic but a good one nevertheless. Really like the Shivr but not certain about the mic quality on calls.
Most likely it’s not gonna be used like that when we’re back in office so was more looking at it for after also.
I'm confused between this one and the latest akg 371 or 361 BT , what do you think I should go with?
which one did you go with
Is the headphone safe from water?

Beautifully explained!
Took care of everything..
Sub added.
Thanks! Glad you liked it 😊
I have two questions, Do the headphones use Bluetooth 5.0 and do they use usb-c
Bluetooth 4.0 and Micro USB charger (both a little outdated)

how are they vs Bose Quiet Comfort on ear head phones? thank you
Quiet comfort are pretty legit. If you are talking about the QC 35s these are way less expensive and offer solid sound.

Umm.... Isn't this a dongle for Wifi? Is there any dongle for Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2 to connect to the PC which doesn't support Bluetooth?
this vs Sennheiser 450bt ?
thoughts
Sennheiser makes some amazing stuff. I like the look of the 450bt better so with those in mind I'd likely go Sennheiser in Black: amzn.to/3gcWhvv
Are these made in China?
Yes
TP squad lol
😂 🚽
Toilet squad ...lol
Let's go!!!
Not even bluetooth 5. 🤬👎
Bluetooth 5.0 doesn't make *any* difference in terms of audio quality, battery life and range compared to 4.1/2, in fact of headphones.
