I have a theory..i think the U8N will probably become the best miniled for 2024 cus hisense updates the tv regularly, the same as they did with the u8k now, the U8K is incredible!
I got a u8n just 2 days ago. Looks amazing, but I had some dead pixels and some kind of dirty screen grid. I contacted the seller company, waiting for my LG C4...
Thanks for the video and your work as always. My old Vizio P75-F1 is finally giving out and looking to buy. In your opinion for those that can't afford OLED, which do you think is better? The Hisense U8K (you kind of raved about for what it is), this new U8N, or the TCL QM8? Or do you suggest another 75 or 77 inch in the same price range of under 2k?
I was hoping the Mini-LED did better, as I want to game primarily, and I just don't trust the longevity of OLED, but the color is just way too off for me on the Mini-LED. Obviously the price is totally in its court. If the color was better, the Hisense would be the one for me. I plan to sit right in front, so viewing angles don't matter much to me, but I would be far too paranoid with letting the screen sit static for an OLED, and I would be actively trying to protect it.
I believe the 55 inch uses a IPS panel. The larger TV's use a VA. I saw another review on the larger sets. Viewing angles are way improved and colors are better.
Doesn't the 65" U8N 2024 Model have more punch, different tuner, etc. than the 55"? My U8H was just destroyed by warranty tech, gonna be weeks before Hisense gets refund back to me. Very disappointed how they do their warranty
Comparing an OLED with a mini led display is not fair, You can buy 3 Hisense of 75 inches for the price you buy one Samsung S95D of 75 inches. Compare it to the Samsung QN95C also 75 inches. IMO the Hisense gives you better bang for your buck.
You had a moment there where you defended against the idea that you should look at the 65" models to see if they do it. Your response to that was that this has never been an issue with Hisense in the past, but I can tell you from direct experience that this is unfortunately not the case. You may want to peruse AVSForums on the U8H. No one could reproduce it on a 65", only reproduced on the 55".
I have to respectfully disagree with you. I do not think OLED looks better than full array, LED or mini LED. Also that OLED is losing a lot of detail in Spider-Man video game. (Way to dark the game is not supposed to look like that as somebody that has worked inthe gaming industry im positive)
My Hisense U8G has been nothing but reliability and software issues. The picture is great, but It still crashes and reboots all the time. I'm on my 3rd mainboard. With every repair, the TV works for a few months, and then the issues return .
Hi, I've just come across your excellent channel, it's superb...I'm in the UK and I would appreciate your recommendation...i have a Sony 75x90j and the picture is crap, would you recommend a Samsung 77s90c or a Samsung 75qn90c Best tv channel on RUclips....do you recommend i wait for the new TCL or Hisense...Best regards
So what ur saying is, if I was gonna buy a hisense tv then buy last years u8k, u7k rather than the u8n, u7n. Is last year's hisense tv's better than this year?
Hello Quantum... Good job, well done with the comparison! ;) What would be the best choice at this moment for a TV up to 55" that will replace the monitor on the PC.. For example, Can a TV like the Hisense U8N, when sitting close (about 80-100cm), distort the colors in the corners around the center of the screen due to the viewing angle? Because of the static stuff and the bright room I might tend to avoid OLED
@fvallo stated, "I have an old Samsung TV from 2016 and Samsung rarely updates the OS. I also dislike the Samsung OS compared to other platforms like Google TV, which Hisense incorporates into their TVs. Additionally, Hisense consistently updates its firmware and OS to fix bugs."
I Woled is old tech and can't escape QD-OLED benefits. To say that the woled tech looks better is nothing short of a lack of experience with perceptual calibration. QD-OLED is an upgrade over woled because of quantum dots. He would have you believe that having quantum dots means nothing, which literally defines science.
Mini-LED with matte Display would be an exciting next step. I think most people realized that matte finishing isnt that bad and gives you superior anti reflection in bright rooms
Oh man, it is gonna be one F of a year that’s right one F of a year, trying to keep it PG-13, kind of. Well, all I could say is Heisson fumbled the ball this year and TCL, I mean, if it does pick it up It’s gonna want it’s gonna have one hell of a win this year. I am not getting my hopes up too much, but I didn’t notice the difference between TCL and high sons at CES this year, they didn’t come as let’s just say, hi since did not come out swinging hard this year with their TVs, but I didn’t notice that TCO did. so it could be their chance to be the king of many LED if they stepped up their color game and black levels it is going to be one hell of a win for them. Can’t wait to see the QM7 and Q8M or is it the QA, I think it’s the QA, QM7, QA, Q7, and they’ll two and they’ll tell two friends and they’ll tell two friends, and so on and so on and so on, I’m just Wayne’s world touring here. 6:28
nothing can compete with micro contrast of OLED short of 4K number of dimming zones on LED . But on the other hand that OLED can not compete in reliably with LED , LG G3 died in 8 months on a test , 8 months ! Let me see that Samsung OLED after 2 years , just let me see any color on it , but do use it without care like any other Display not thinking about it . Yeah it would be dead , so its not only 2 or 3x more expensive , its actually 10x more expensive because you will need 10x more money , to get that picture for 10 years because you will need 3 or 4 OLEDs , and when you put it like that , you say wait , that Micro contrast of OLED cost a LOT , A LOT ! Over 10 years not over 1 or 2 years . Tho i do not understand why is this happening , i have an OLED on my phone , its not dead its just 50% lost its nits , i could use it outside , now i cant , 2 years in . I got at the same time another phone but with LED display , 2x as bright visually , in numbers that is probably 3x times as bright where when purchased OLED was better . So things are not as simple as what picture is the best . There are other things , you with bunch of TVs miss a biggest one , that i named here , price per year of usage , and usability .
Even if QD-Oleds are amazing they're out of reach for me, too expensive! I'll wait for the new 2024 TCL C855 vs the U8N reviews and i'll probably buy the winner.

It's always bridge the gap. If you can bridge the gap, then make the Samsung that much better as well. Money beats all.....I mean you, not the TV. Always complaining. Do you have picture setting for Dolby vision and HDR coming soon? On U8N?

It’s posterization. Basically means color banding.

Which one is better, Hisense U7N with Vidaa software in Europe or TCL C755 ?
Something is telling me that qn90D QLED is going to give Oleds a run for their money.
The 65 model does not show any of this, not at rhe kevek of my Sony 77a95L but not bad at much much lower price
bruih what the point to compare 2 screen that are not even close price wise.
Excellent work.
The average TV buyer won't notice half the pickish things you point out. If you're moving from an older TV, this TV will do the job just fine.
Even if you lack knowledge you'll notice dark scenes look off. The color orange is extremely off and anyone wil notice.
An average TV buyer will buy the cheapest largest TV they can not any of these.
The u8n is the best and worst tv at the same time
Lol exactly, i returned my u8k because of horrible dse, local dimming was absolutely insanely good... Got s90c instead

Hi Quantum. What about Sony A95L vs Samsung S95D? Which would be better? I want to buy the A95L this year, that's why I'm asking. Thanks.
Is there still gonna be settings for the s95b?
For S95B settings can go to AVS Forum
Hisense use 8bit panels so all the calibration in the world won't get you more color depth.
8 bit but 2frc meaning 10 bit.
have c1 old but next my target is that mini led .......not need to pay extra
