G'day Al, We've had caravans ,hard /soft floor camper trailers.Back to Jayco Swift outback due to downsizing property. Fantastic camper. Great tips mate.❤❤
Hi Big Al, love your videos mate. very informative, and not drowned out by unnecessary music, well explained.....tops. I will be picking up a Jayco Swift in 3 or 4 days time. It's second hand, but in excellent condition and I'm like a ten year old kid on Christmas eve. I'm just getting back into 4x4 ing and picking up a new Colorado around the same time as the Swift, so you can imagine ...lol I've been slowly stocking up on all the stuff I will need and can't wait to get into it. I've got a gammy left hand from a motorbike accident, and was looking at one of those Fiamma 45 wind out awnings, but I don't think you can get them for the small swift. Thanks for the tips mate. Cheers
Thanks Steiny for your great comment. I hope you have as much fun in your Swift as we have. I will be adding more videos as soon as we can all get back to camping. All the best in your travels say safe and thanks again.
Hi I added the pump to the original piping with John quest fittings and and also use on and off tap to turn off the water to the mains pipe when not using hook up.
Graham Marsh the pump we are using is a Aqua Jet WPS 2.9 from RTM. Hope this helps. It’s the same one i use on my water trolley video. Have a look at that video. If you haven’t yet please subscribe.
How thick is the rope sewn in to the tarp to fit into the sail track? Can you buy them pre made? Also is there any issue with the tension of the tarp pulling against the roof of the pop top?
I had the sail track attached by a company that makes tarps and shade cloth. There is no issue with it as it is placed where the annex fits to the camper. Hope this helps.
I found it very easy to reverse and being so small fits into tight spots. thanks for your interest in my channel i will be adding some new videos soon.
No I haven’t had any problems yet. I thinks it’s a great addition as it doesn’t just protect the van it protects the gas bottle and jerry can. I also attach my steel table for the bbq to it. Hope this helps. Happy camping
@@bigalsoutdooradventurescha9054 Hi Al, thanks for the reply much appreciated. just one more question if you don't mind, does your Swift have the extended draw bar on it. Many thanks Lee

What set up did you use for your tap on the sink to use the electric pump.

Hi, What size is the sail track rope on the tarp? 6mm, 7.5mm ??
Hi Luke I am not sure mate. I had the guy who made the tarp for me check that. Thanks for watching.

Hey mate great video, how are these to reverse thank you
I found it very easy to reverse and being so small fits into tight spots. thanks for your interest in my channel i will be adding some new videos soon.
Hi Al, do you find that the Stone guard on the Swift interferes with reverse turning etc? Thanks
No I haven’t had any problems yet. I thinks it’s a great addition as it doesn’t just protect the van it protects the gas bottle and jerry can. I also attach my steel table for the bbq to it. Hope this helps. Happy camping

No it’s just standard Thanks again.
What tarp did you use please
The tarp is a heavy duty one from Bunnings and I had the sail track done at a motor trimmers. Hope this helps.
