It's not arrogance - it's honesty. He's never cared what anyone thought and he speaks his mind. He's got a depth about him that is rare and he's a great actor. I'm glad he's back! He's a survivor!

I love Mickey Rourke, honest, loyal, brilliant actor, really special person. My favorite actor. All the best to him, I really love him and admire him. Like Eric Roberts said " I love Mickey Rourke for everything what he is.".

Mickey Rourke is truely a great actor! Angel Heart, Barfly, Bodyheat, Rumble Fish, 91/2 Weeks, Sin City, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, The Pledge, Animal Factory, Spun, The Wrestler, Bullet, Man On Fire etc. Oh, so many great performances! Welcome back, brother!

I throughly enjoyed this interview. I thought it was the best most candid interview I've seen him do. He really opened up and touched on a lot of topics with a wide range of answers to sometimes difficult questions. But ,I must say Mickey Rourke never stopped working even during the 90s . I liked Harley Davidson and the Marlborough Man.

Mickey's redemption and revival are unique in Hollywood.
The best thing is that he looks at ease with himself and his past and is willing to leave it all behind.
    Good for him.

"It´s good to be back", we´re all glad you´re back Mickey...It´s like what that man says in 9:16, he might be strange looking, but he´s a phenomenal actor and he always was. An Oscar for him!!

Piers Morgan has zero empathy. Rourke just finishes telling him all the damage to his face and two concussions (brain injuries) and says You’re face is such a train wreck. What a creep.

Very interesting. As I started to grow into my 20's I lost track of him Now I know why. I completed my studies and did my thing. Academically I believed that I was quite superior to my past and the more education I received the smarted I thought I was. Well there were many actors and musicians that helped me to learn how to create characters in my own acting. I realize today how much he is still a part of me. Cool.

What I think May 2015 with hindsight over this great actors career is this for what it's worth. I think the film industry is unique in contrast to people who have regular jobs. Who have employment rights , anti bullying in the work place , tribunals etc etc. the film industry doesn't and a person, an actor is very much on their own. Sink or swim, who are at the grace of other people who are more powerful than them. Hence the evolvement of the " casting couch" particularly for women and maybe for some men
Many of whom had to sleep their way to the top. Micky Rourke refused to compromise with this level of authority . Why would he given his childhood experience ? Had he been in the ordinary work place he would have been afforded more protection ? Not achieved so much ? Definitely, but he is a risk taker and takes responsibility for his shit swimming in a cesspool of people full of their own shit!

I've always had the feeling that he was "put upon" ...or attempts were made to "put upon him" in Hollywood, when he was young and handsome, and it turned him off !

    Great guy
he should now that he's 'on top' again
get his features fixed by the right people.
He reporetedly chose the wrong guys to fix his face
after he had it messed up during his boxing period !

I was going to say the same thing. If you look at his face when he was younger, his chin and jaw is shaped in a way that makes his chin more prominent. But, with a bad facelift, it makes his face look out of wack along with some other horrible surgeries. I think he looks better than he did a few years ago though. Definitely not his younger days (who does), but better. I think he would look even better with a cleaned up look, but hey he's just being him, so I say do you! lol

@bigbendewolfe: Maybe the lower lip could have some work, it looks unnatural, like if it had too much botox or a ugly implant, but otherwise i'd avoid other surgeries, they could turn out bad.

  • @Marfmellow88

He didn't do anything with his chin. You know he had a facelift for sure, he can't grow sideburns anymore, he lost his adorable puppy dog eyes with an eyelift and his smile looks a bit different because the space between his nose and upper lip is larger because of the nose job he had to get to fix all of his broken noses. But you know, I'm a huge fan, and I think he's looking pretty good nowadays.I don't want to sound mean because that's not what I intended, but you came across as very rude =(
