Probably something similar to the food packaging made with aluminum foil bonded to plastic film. It's just that the plastic film is a little bit thicker in this case, like one of those clear folders you put reports in.
Mylar is just plastic film. It frequently has a metallic coating, but that's not a requirement for it to be mylar. Also, the metal coating is via vapor deposition, not like a separate foil glued on somehow.
@@wbfaulk I worked in a place that printed food packaging. Those mylar looking chip and cookie bags are definitely aluminum foil bonded to plastic film. You glue them together, and the end product takes on properties of both. So that's what I meant, a product similar to mylar but not mylar itself.
This is still a fantastic way to understand elastic deformation and the yield strength, the cylinder and the material is acted upon by a force which moves it up and down the stress strain profile

"it reminds me when I crushe-" dude didn't even finish and my mind went it so many horribly hilarious places. thanks Markiplier - 😭😂😂😂😂
Oh my gosh this is THE comment I was looking for, thank you 😂
the crushing of thin-walled tubes reminds me, I think it was on PBS, but I saw a special once about this artist who would crush cans by hand so they look like what that tube looks like. they looked pretty nice actually
I think this pen is made by him
@@placeholder3863 that's believable
Unless he's been using this method the whole time and lying.
Bro was disappointed, and I don’t blame him at all 💀
Probably something similar to the food packaging made with aluminum foil bonded to plastic film.
@@briebel2684 If that's what you meant, that's not what you said. Restrictive clauses always refer to the noun they're immediately adjacent to.
@@wbfaulk There, I edited it. Are you happy now? JFC.
This is still a fantastic way to understand elastic deformation and the yield strength, the cylinder and the material is acted upon by a force which moves it up and down the stress strain profile
I have one of these pens and when you showed the inside I thought “oh that’s so neat, I want to see that” and unscrewed the cap of mine and broke it 😭😭😭😭😭 im SO SAD
Edit: I fixed it, I’m SO happy
That one guy from Incredibles 2 that cant uncrush would be flabbergasted right now.
I’m glad we all feel crushed and it’s not just me. I wish I could unknow this
Very cool. I would like one 👍
Where can I buy that thing? That's super cool
I feel like hell is actually just this guy reading the encyclopedia 24/7/365.
And you can never sleep.
I love how excited he gets 😊😊😊
I hate i hate how disappointed he gets 😢😢😢
