Kikuo's unconventional composition is part of why i love his music so much. The beats and unusual instrumentation all make this really cool soundscape in my headphones and it feels like being transported into another world, if that makes sense lol
I think I read somewhere that his unusual compositions were because he never learned music theory. I think he also said that when he was beginning and wanted to improve he actually asked his music teacher if learning music theory was the way to go for him and the teacher advised him to never learn so he could keep his unique touch

I don't know if anyone has pointed it out yet, but a common misunderstanding about Hated by Life Itself is that it's from Mafumafu. It's not. It's by Kanzaki Iori. Mafumafu's COVER is just the most popular version of it to the point many have started crediting him as the creator when he's not. He wasn't even the original singer lol. I love Mafumafu's vocals but Kanzaki Iori is an insanely good composer that wrote songs with hard hitting lyrics.

I have listened to vocaloid music since I was 14 years old. I'm not joking when I say that vocaloid music has changed my life for the better and saved me in many dire moments. I love electronic vocaloid music, it is totally my jam. also i know that you said you weren't really sure of the voice in donut hole, so i wanted to let you know that the version you put in the video is actually a cover. the original is with gumi. sometimes if you look up the songs on youtube it'll put a cover at the top of the search results rather than the original. if you look up the songs on the site vocaloid database/vocadb it'll show you the original/official upload of the song on youtube and nico nico douga (which is a japanese video site similar to youtube) and i know fandom wiki is a pain but you can also look up songs on the vocaloid wiki and it'll do the same there as well (although it will bombard you with ads) anyways great video keep it up there honestly aren't a lot of people who do video content about vocaloid so im always glad to see your videos on it 👍
I think I see where you're coming from on lagtrain, but for me there's just something so addicting about it, and the way it pushes forward and pulls back at just the right moments never has me bored, I could probably listen to it forever. There are also a lot of artists that I feel like I always need to listen a few more times until I really like it, but once I do, I REALLY do. Melty land nightmare is one of my favourite songs by my favourite producer, Harumaki Gohan, has made some other really amazing songs, in particular I'd recommend Dinner Bell, Aster, Colbalt Memories, Dreamless Dreams, Golden Ray and his newest song, Zero Talking.
To be honest, Kaleidoscope is one of those songs that you can't really appreciate the first 2 listens, it's definitely a dense song both harmonically and compositionally. But i believe that this is a genius thing to do, since Kaleidoscopes do have these very complex patterns that you can't put into words.. listening to this song is the auditory equivalent of looking through one, and I don't blame you for not enjoying it! This is definitely not for everyone, so I understand your placement of it! :)
PinocchioP is my favourite producer/music artist of all time, im so happy you liked his music! Thanks for being lifeless is my personal favourite song of all time. Since I have such a strong connection to vocaloid and especially Miku, this beautiful love letter to her is so comforting and has been able to get me through so much. Just a heads up because I see you giving focus sometimes to how the vocals are tuned in some songs, and the original would be better to judge I think ^^; no worries if you can't find them tho! (some producers removed songs from their channels, some songs are titled in Japanese, etc. It gets confusing orz)

Yes, it’s not as musically holy shit impressive as other artists, but the songs really are catchy and the most important part of them is how they tell a story. Manbo-p is my favorite vocaloid artist ever, sad that he got one of the worst grades in one of his best songs. It’s a high A or low S for me to be honest. It’s honestly impressive how you disliked like 90% of the ones I love, and the ones I feel indifferent towards you loved.

Kikuo's unconventional composition is part of why i love his music so much. The beats and unusual instrumentation all make this really cool soundscape in my headphones and it feels like being transported into another world, if that makes sense lol

I think I read somewhere that his unusual compositions were because he never learned music theory. I think he also said that when he was beginning and wanted to improve he actually asked his music teacher if learning music theory was the way to go for him and the teacher advised him to never learn so he could keep his unique touch

I don't know if anyone has pointed it out yet, but a common misunderstanding about Hated by Life Itself is that it's from Mafumafu. It's not. It's by Kanzaki Iori. Mafumafu's COVER is just the most popular version of it to the point many have started crediting him as the creator when he's not. He wasn't even the original singer lol. I love Mafumafu's vocals but Kanzaki Iori is an insanely good composer that wrote songs with hard hitting lyrics.

also i know that you said you weren't really sure of the voice in donut hole, so i wanted to let you know that the version you put in the video is actually a cover. the original is with gumi. sometimes if you look up the songs on youtube it'll put a cover at the top of the search results rather than the original. if you look up the songs on the site vocaloid database/vocadb it'll show you the original/official upload of the song on youtube and nico nico douga (which is a japanese video site similar to youtube) and i know fandom wiki is a pain but you can also look up songs on the vocaloid wiki and it'll do the same there as well (although it will bombard you with ads) anyways great video keep it up there honestly aren't a lot of people who do video content about vocaloid so im always glad to see your videos on it 👍
I think I see where you're coming from on lagtrain, but for me there's just something so addicting about it, and the way it pushes forward and pulls back at just the right moments never has me bored, I could probably listen to it forever. There are also a lot of artists that I feel like I always need to listen a few more times until I really like it, but once I do, I REALLY do. Pino-P, Kikuo, and Ghost all usually do that to me, but I think that also applied to lagtrain

Melty land nightmare is one of my favourite songs by my favourite producer, Harumaki Gohan, has made some other really amazing songs, in particular I'd recommend Dinner Bell, Aster, Colbalt Memories, Dreamless Dreams, Golden Ray and his newest song, Zero Talking.
To be honest, Kaleidoscope is one of those songs that you can't really appreciate the first 2 listens, it's definitely a dense song both harmonically and compositionally. But i believe that this is a genius thing to do, since Kaleidoscopes do have these very complex patterns that you can't put into words.. listening to this song is the auditory equivalent of looking through one, and I don't blame you for not enjoying it! This is definitely not for everyone, so I understand your placement of it! :)

@@LJLVibes I don’t even think the cover is bad it’s well made but Kyo is a flawed vocaloid with a weaker voice due to him meant to be used with the other Zola project boys Will and Yu. Plus the original was just beautifully made with such a nice sounding Gumi tuning. I’m glad you liked the original in the end

Yes, it’s not as musically holy shit impressive as other artists, but the songs really are catchy and the most important part of them is how they tell a story. Manbo-p is my favorite vocaloid artist ever, sad that he got one of the worst grades in one of his best songs. It’s a high A or low S for me to be honest.

the song is basically about a girl named Mene (the purple haired girl) who feels er like, not enough, and says she is normal like meanwhile there is a girl named (idont remember her name, but the blonde girl) and Mene sees she as perfection, as In an abnormal way, thinking it isn't normal to have such perfection and Mene trying to be like her, using the butterflies' metamorphosis to represent her going from "normal" to "abnormal,", you can see her going on a bunch of different stages of mene trying to be like the blonde girl, at some point of Mene falling in "love" or "obsession" with the blonde girl.
