@@BloggingTheology Saint Paul and the Islamic prophet! Paul was a violent person before he had an encounter with Jesus Christ, on his way to Demascus. However that encounter with Son of God changed him completely. He became a gem! Most beautiful life! Whereas Islamic prophet was a very honorable person before his encounter with a total Stranger at Hira cave, who manhandled him and pressed him severely with out any provocation! That encounter changed him completely! Thereafter we see so much violence and bloodshed in his life! Paul never married! Whereas Islamic prophet had plenty of women in his life. Paul loved entire humanity. Paul wrote:- 1 Corinthians 13 The Way of Love 1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;[b] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Whereas Islamic prophet brought a book, which advises Muslims to love only the fellow Muslims! And to be hard against non Muslims! And we see the impact of both these ideologies in the long history! Our present Paul know both the above lives quite well! He consciously decided to follow violence and bloodshed! How sad!

Narrated Ubaidullah: Ibn `Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!" When the writers of the gospels wrote their account, they had no idea that their writings will become sacred or people will consider them inspired by God or the Holy Spirit. Very insightful! I didn’t realize there were some voices of reason in the 1-2 century noting that the Gospels were written by humans and not a revelation. I often wonder what the original Injeel would have read like. If Quran is so beautifully written, I am thinking that the Injeel and Torah were probably considered to be well written documents as well.
Thank you Paul!!! You just cleared the concept of Injeel in Quran and the Christian NT. This was bothering me for a long time and I was unable to get a clear answer. I had even enquired in emails to some Islamic scholars I knew but their responses did not satisfy me. Thank you again.

As an arab Muslim I always understood this issue exactly as you told now. The interesting thing is this means there’s no Injil even in the second century. The truth is there’s no sacred scripture for the Christians from the early time of Christianity. It’s simply disappeared.
@@fikarrusdiawan9562 Yes. Because they don’t have a book. What is in the Quran (people of the book ) means those only who have the real scripture, Torah and Injeel .which is sent by Allah. Not written by Mathew mark Luke and john. Do you know who they were? 🤓
Salaam Paul. I had a discussion with a Christian last week whilst at speakers Corner about this topic. I had to explain the injil referenced in the Qur'an was given to Jesus (pbuh) and it being singular and it not being the 4 gospels found in their Bible attributed (according to) to Mark, Luke, Matthew and John.
Thanks for explaining that, I'm going to have to go over myself now. I have picked up instances through the bible and gnostic gospels where you are given the impression that the apostles don't really understand what jesus is saying to them.
Mr Paul I have actually the same understanding that the gospel the Quran talks about is different from the four from the new testament. However I don't understand why God in surah Al-Ma'idah in verse 47 says: "So let the people of the gospel judge by what God has revealed therein". If the gospel in question is lost how come the people of the gospel are ordered to judge by it ? It doesn't make sense to me ? That said I follow your content and find it very educational.thanks.
@@sikeajax We don't actually have copies of the gospel revealed to Jesus pbuh. It was revealed most probably in aramaic, the mother tongue of Jesus. What we have are copies of the four gospels in Greek. The alleged writers of the gospels don't mention the book revealed to Jesus thus in most likelihood they didn't know about it. Which means it was never made into a written form and remained an oral tradition and was lost shortly after the disciples had died.
@@AyoubRHAZI If verse 47 says: "So let the people of the gospel judge by what God has revealed therein", how was it lost shortly after disciples died? Since the Quran is written in 7th century, it must be refering to the existing Gospel, which is the one in the Bible at the time, which is the same as today, since there were certainly no changes to the Gospel in the Bible at least since the 7th century since there are complete Bibles today dating from before 7th century.
@@tombuddy100 That verse and the verses of the sort puzzle me, however we can't equate the gospel the Quran mentions with the four gospels simply because the four even by Christian rational weren't inspired to Jesus pbuh but rather to the alleged authors Mark, Mathew, luke and John, whilst the gospel the Quran speaks about was revealed to Jesus.
@@AyoubRHAZI There was a Roman emperor who lived in the 3rd century AD. He did not like Christianity. He attempted to burn all copies of the Bible. He failed to burn all of them, since the Bible survived to this day. However, by the 7th century, nobody was burning the Bible any more. So, what Gospel is Quran talking about in the 7th century, used by the people of the book at the time?
@David Isa the real injil is not a book, it is direct revelation from god carried by angel Gabriel. Jesus listen it form Gabriel and teach the people. @@kevin_s7 injil means good news, i think this scripture means news from allah not in the form of book, u know Quran is also news from god. Later all the news Written together as todays quran, Unlike injil
I swear to God that this is my view since I was a kid when I read the Gospels and I realized these are just memoirs or writings about the life of Jesus but the Ingil has to be a completely different revelation and it could've stayed verbal for a while and distorted later on and Lost in translations among the writings of early Christian literature

One linguistic curiosity: In many languages, other than English, Gospel is called "Evanđelje/Jevanđelje" (pronunciation: eʋǎnd͡ʑeːʎe, for example in Slavic languages) originating from Greek word for Gospel "Ευαγγέλιο" (Evangélio) originating from: "εὐάγγελος" meaning "good/joyful news". So, pronunciation is very similar to the Qur'anic "Injil" (إنجيل) obviously the root of the Greek "εὐάγγελος" (pronunciation: euángelos) and the Arabic "إنجيل" is the same. Origin and the meaning of the word "εὐάγγελος"/"إنجيل" could be very interesting for a linguist, and at the same time this is a question for you Paul:) All the best, selam.
First time I heard of this fact that gospels are the memoirs of M.M.L and John, was given by somebody in Hyde Park. In 20l5 who was an African looking young man, but Christian, who was a Labour (paint/distemper) and spoke with Muhammad Hijab.
The Quran is the verbatim of God and is in essence a message. The message is more important than the messenger. The canonical Gospels basically prioritized the messenger over the message which Jesus AS was trying to portray and exalted him into divinity.
Acts 26:22 To this day I have had the help that comes from God, and so I stand here testifying both to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would come to pass: that the Christ must suffer and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light both to our people and to the Gentiles.” Luke 24:26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory? Zechariah 13:7 “Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, against the man who stands next to me,” declares the Lord of hosts. “Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; I will turn my hand against the little ones. Zechariah 11:7 So I became the shepherd of the flock doomed to be slaughtered by the sheep traders. And I took two staffs, one I named Favor, the other I named Union. And I tended the sheep. Zechariah 11:10 And I took my staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples. So it was annulled on that day, and the sheep traders, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages thirty pieces of silver. John 10:11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. Isaiah 59:15-21 Truth is lacking, and he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. The Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him. He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on his head; he put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak. According to their deeds, so will he repay, wrath to his adversaries, repayment to his enemies; to the coastlands he will render repayment. So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun; for he will come like a rushing stream, which the wind of the Lord drives. “And a Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who turn from transgression,” declares the Lord. “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”
Assalam alaykum, have you made a video concerning the mission of Jesus in its historical context, rather than the establishment of a new Religion via the cross as misunderstood today. I think it's the most misunderstood story in the history of the Prophets.
Once, I quoted on this channel a question raised by a local author asking: "Is the HOLY Book a selection of some Holy Books? Or is it a HOLY Selection of some books".
Keep digging deeper...in the end you will always end up with JESUS.... Nothing more. . He said I am the way and life.... But I have a question, what do you classify at holy scripture? What make scripture holy?
The discovery of the Nag Hamadi library has put a completely different spin on early Bible. I am not sure what the Quran refers to as Injeel? It might not be the new testaments as we know them, that are being referred to as Injeel in the Quran

Saint Paul and the Islamic prophet!
Paul wrote:-
1 Corinthians 13
The Way of Love
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
How sad!

Mr Paul, The whole Nation of Islam and I sincerely hope, that the Christendom is benefitted from his great work.
Narrated Ubaidullah:
Ibn `Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Qur'an) which has been revealed to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!"

Very insightful! I didn’t realize there were some voices of reason in the 1-2 century noting that the Gospels were written by humans and not a revelation. The interesting thing is this means there’s no Injil even in the second century. The truth is there’s no sacred scripture for the Christians from the early time of Christianity. It’s simply disappeared.
So, technically Christians are not people of books. Huh?

So, what Gospel is Quran talking about in the 7th century, used by the people of the book at the time?
injil is book for jesus from ALLAH. al quran for muhamad from ALLAH rasullullah. gospel for christian from paul, luke mathew, etc etc etc.

One linguistic curiosity:
In many languages, other than English, Gospel is called "Evanđelje/Jevanđelje" (pronunciation: eʋǎnd͡ʑeːʎe, for example in Slavic languages) originating from Greek word for Gospel "Ευαγγέλιο" (Evangélio) originating from: "εὐάγγελος" meaning "good/joyful news".
So, pronunciation is very similar to the Qur'anic "Injil" (إنجيل) obviously the root of the Greek "εὐάγγελος" (pronunciation: euángelos) and the Arabic "إنجيل" is the same.
Origin and the meaning of the word "εὐάγγελος"/"إنجيل" could be very interesting for a linguist, and at the same time this is a question for you Paul:)

The Quran is the verbatim of God and is in essence a message. The message is more important than the messenger. The canonical Gospels basically prioritized the messenger over the message which Jesus AS was trying to portray and exalted him into divinity.

I think it's the most misunderstood story in the history of the Prophets.
makes sense
Once, I quoted on this channel a question raised by a local author asking: "Is the HOLY Book a selection of some Holy Books? Or is it a HOLY Selection of some books".
Gospels are equivalent to seerah of Imam tabari who collected everything he heard about the prophet PBUH, i.e authentic and non authentic ones
I think it's even less than that. It's someone writing about what they heard and also believed about Jesus, also copying from each other.
Excellent Paul. In your opinion, what happened to the Engeel that Allah revealed to Jesus?
Keep digging deeper...in the end you will always end up with JESUS.... Nothing more.
. He said I am the way and life.... But I have a question, what do you classify at holy scripture? What make scripture holy?
The discovery of the Nag Hamadi library has put a completely different spin on early Bible. I am not sure what the Quran refers to as Injeel? It might not be the new testaments as we know them, that are being referred to as Injeel in the Quran
I'm excited to see you learning about tasawuf. Gonna be a great content.
