tall 24.5 tires used to be favored to run more weight at higher speeds, most claim the 22.5's of today are just as good or better than 24.5's? I still prefer 24.5's
Not gonna lie. I use to like horn up top. But it's one more thing to climb up and keep clean. So I've been converted to hiding them and adding a couple roof lights.
Beautiful truck, it's what day cabs should be. Excellent job, great spec's. The only thing I personally would change for me was the seats. I would have gone to the national 6 way air seats but that just me. Great job Steve 😎😎😎
Little fun fact Steve, that Merritt box is just about standard equipment on every log truck out here in NW Oregon and SW Washington out here it's known as a logger box
This particular application, exact same truck, same set up, only in orange would be ideal. How hard are they to get? My local Pete stores have zero inventory and are saying sometime next year before any arrive. We have a 5 year paving contract deal coming up and I’m looking for a new truck.
Peterbilt Steve , I have two questions for you to answer ..: 1) why don’t peterbilt offer 2 full functionality exhausts for short hood 389? 2) other question is why don’t peterbilt offer old school gauge packages as an option beside the electric digital speedometer system?? I’d like to know your reply to these 2 and your have a good weekend and do well.. I liked your videos you made on RUclips
I don't want an insult your intelligence, but when you're going to do the extended day cab, you need to adjust your exhaust brackets differently, because the exhaust is in front of the back of the cab, where it should be flushed with the back of the cap, if nothing else maybe just a cut hair beyond the cab, that way it looks right I'm sorry but that's my intelligence on this it looks hokey when the cab sticks out beyond the cat exhaust it looks like somebody with a billy big burger and didn't know what they're doing
That is a handsome, high-pocketed, built for business rig. Love seeing the 24.5 tires. That is a REAL truck. Bravo man!

Steve did it again, a great Pete, horns, five lights the way god intended, pull toy here
Yes, love 5 lights with the horns on the roof, I hate when they hide the horns.

Now that is my kind of truck. Simple, not too many frills, but classic looking and sleek.

G’day from Australia 🇦🇺 Great to see the horns on the roof where they belong 👍🏼
Thanks 👍
🙄Until the roof leaks & you have to seal everything back up again.....
@@DeLonghe_P_Ness i never had problems with leaks from horns or cab lights?
Beautiful !
Sweet classic truck. Good job Steve.
Beautiful day cab
Beautiful, I need 5 just like it
Nice truck Steve. When are you expecting more trucks? Looking for a 579 with small sleeper. Thanks.
Oh it's gorgeous little beauty Steve. I love it. ❤🖤❤
With 379 headlights and it would be perfect😍
Sweet lookin’ Pete!!!
Interesting you can get air ride front axle with air trac suspension.. didn’t think that was a option
Very nice. Hydraulic incorporated into the right fuel tank?
Love everything about my day except for one thing. They build them for people that are no taller than 5 ft 6. Never understood this about Pete’s
Beautiful truck Steve, very nice equipped! Is it going to pull a end dump?

A delete and it’s ready to work forever
Nice
Love the truck but why not clear lens lights on the mirrors?

Beautiful truck Whats the price lookin like ?
If that had a woman driving it, Little Black Dress would be a killer truck name.
What happened to the
CUMMINS performance C-15 engine?
Miss it 😢 too
