      I have not tried that method ma'am. In either ways you need to cool down the masala before adding majjige, else it will get curdled.

    Thumba ruchkaravada recipe.
    I have never thought of using majjige menasinakayi for seasoning here. I will definitely start that.
    I use a slightly different method. I roast rice and little channa ( or toor) dal with garlic, jeera and green chillies. Grind it with ginger and some coriander leaves.
    I add the ground masala to hot oggarane and boil with salt. Then when cooled I add well beaten thick curds and add enough water to adjust consistency.
    You need not boil this majjige huli again. But if you do it is ok. It will not curdle. Also there will be no raw smell of any ingredient.
