My uncle bought me a box and I thought it would be easy to make and so I checked.... far out... I'd be dead making this. Those men work so hard.. I could not believe the difficulty in making Soan Papdi. Good job!
This is by far my favorite indian sweet! I had it shipped from chennai and it was the Almond one and I was in love..I was stunned at how amazing the texture and almonds it melted in that one single bite...Also different types of nuts! and jelly candies and a scent stick, double mint gum extra strong which I havent seen in USA,jolly rancher lollipops and gums ect it was amazing. I also had coffe ground coffee from scratch it was so bold and no words to describe the aroma! I saw on video as the woman grinded the coffee...Its an honor to be born in such a country with so much creativity and types of spices and aromas...Thank you India
Don't talk bushtit on hygiene here, this is not a hygiene lesson, look how amazing and tasty Indian food are, what we eat in west is just raw food or artificial junk food, no tasty, no innovation,
The difference is that there are 3 sets of hands making these sweets thats 3 men all doing hard work in a hot enviroment. I can already taste the saltiness of their hard labor xD
To all those complaining. They aren't forcing you to eat it so if you aren't happy with their hygiene then go somewhere else. This video is simply to show the procedure.
why do Indians get upset when someone points out the UNHYGIENIC nature of the preparation. they should take steps to correct it. Why do you take it as a personal insult? if 3rd world countries like Thailand and Vietnam, Phillipines can ensure better hygiene why can't Indians do.
Similar in method to Dragon's Beard candy in Korea. I imagine with machines making these types of pulled candies, they are a dying art form. Hopefully people keep making these sweets the old-fashioned way and pass their skills to the next generation.
I hadn't ever realised that making soan papdi was so much difficult.Really appreciate their hard work.I just use to eat it but never knew that it needed so much efforts to be made..But love the soan papdi!
my dad once told me when he was younger he would make candy and it would burn his hands when he mixed it, then roll it up, cut it into small pieces and sell a piece for a penny. This reminds me of that
+Melanie Grey Respect! My mom still burns her fingers whenever she makes some sweets or snacks using hot oil! There are some Indian sweets where you have to mix peanuts with hot caramelized syrup before everything cools down. I tried it once and felt the heat of the stove and the plate! Hence I have stopped asking her for anything since past few years!
my favs indian sweets 👌😍 i nearly finish one box 🙈 i enjoyed eating ... but watching this video makes me appreciate the effort and hardwork... Good job🙏
Soan papdi is tasty sweet. It does't feel hard while eating as you thinking. Its as soft as piece of soft bread but sweet, tasty and melts in your mouth when you take a bite. Its smells too good. You can find these sweets in Haldiram outlets or local sweet shops all over India. I regularly eat it just for $0.13 or Rs. 5 but never knew its this hard to make. Hats off to the people who make these. God bless them.
Thanks for sharing the video. It's nice to see how the Soan Papdi sweets are made. They require hard work. The sweets look so yummy, I can't wait to buy some.
Itni mehnat???!?!?!?!?!!!! Hats off to these confectioners who make amazing delicacies like Soan Papdi, Rewri and rest other sweets, which are easily gulped down but take a lot of strength and patience in their preparations!
Reshma Ramakrishnan no machines will rid them of job opportunities , leading to poverty and low national level of income and that's the last thing India needs :") . They came looking for jobs to get money right and they willingly came to work here ... they're not forced to XD ... its a lot of hard work I know but then all of us have to work hard too to earn right XD
