    For anyone who would try this, please be very careful and patient while handling the sugar part of the recipe. Caramalized sugar is very very high in temperature and can cause very bad burns if handled with hurry or carelessness.

      Yeah IKR, I began to notice this recently myself when I was curious how the "Dodha/Doda Barfi" is made and it takes lots of cooking time and energy/efforts.... God the halwaais are truly the artists considering how little time they have to make numerous batches to sell especially during festivals 🫡

    Wow! Mesmerizing! I’ve always wondered how soan papdi melts in our mouth so easily, from what it’s made from but never bothered to look for it! Seeing how effortlessly and easily you make it makes one realize it’s a job that requires a lot of practice! Maybe I’ll try but i feel buying and eating it would be so much easier!!

    There are similar sweets in Asia as well.
    "Dragon Beard Candy" (Ryubear, Dragon Beard etc...)
    Both are said to be extremely difficult to make.
    I would like to express my surprise and admiration at the high level of skill of the craftsmen.

      Actually flavour really matters i specifically, like only orange flavour one. And it was also same with jalebi but you can't flavour. (Eating first time is hardest)

    Wow what a flex, rannaghor folks! I didn’t realize our culture had this style of pulled candy making too! But the toasted besan/flour flavor with ghee and badam… it takes advantage of the nutty/toasty flavor similarities, and that is some serious foodie genius. I ate store bought shon papri growing up and was always amazed by the texture and flavor, though it’s too sweet for me to eat as much as sandesh. I thought it was made of… like, a fried noodle situation? Magic? And now I know. Just wow.
