Afro and maybe even ethnic hair is in need of prepoo before shampoos especially the ones in market even the sulfate free ones bc shampooing is a damaging process to the strands

Not necessarily. Many shampoos are not damaging.

I’m 64. Shampoo has never damaged my hair. My hair is beautiful. I also use a sulfate shampoo once a month to clean off product buildup.
