I think sometimes people forget that "VOICE ACTING" was cool just to experience in a video game- just like 3D graphics was, no matter how rough back in the 90s.
Tbh, its a shame the PSP version did not got the english translation, even with that, it can be cool if somone makes another patch with the english dub
Thing is the person voicing Baofu is Richard Epcar who is a very established voice actor and actually quite good, you may know him as Batou in Ghost in the Shell (which he did before this), Raiden in the Mortal Kombat games, Gaius van Baelsar in FF14: A Realm Reborn, Zangetsu in Bleach, Xehanort in Kingdom Hearts, etc. Suffice to say this is definitely a combination of script & voice direction letting the game down more than the voice actor here.
Too bad that Altus almost completely ignore the fact that they have persona2 in persona series(there was a p2 song&costume dlc in persona5 but that’s that) :(

Doesn't sound bad to me. Sure, not amazing, but considering the era (and formatting) it sounds pretty good. Like compare this to any other voice acting on the PSOne

Though that's more on the direction and localization's fault. The only exception to that was Tak 2, and I remember the VA in that game being pretty good.

That's not to say it's *bad*. Ham is neutral. Adachi is also all ham all the time.

The guy sounded like he was echoing from inside a tube and the woman sounded a little like there where metal vibrations from the mic cover or something. Either way 10/10 4Kids level voice acting (if you know, then you definitely know)

I do enjoy anime and video game acting from the PS1 generation but I wonder what the recording process is like for this game and Innocent Sin for PSP. Like if the actors were given any context and how long they were in the recording booth. My best bet is 5 minutes each considering how theres a little over 10 minutes worth of actual voice work in both Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment.
