    is it possible if the sleeves are vertical stitches? how to do that? i look fatter when clothes are horizontal.

      You can try making the sleeves as a separate panel and then sew it on to the arm hole

      The top is mostly vertical. Sleeves are very small. U won't look fat .. be confident and this top will look great on u ❤

    What is the ideal fiber type for this? I’ve been working with acrylic and after 4 rows the stitches get impossibly tight.

      The reason your stitches are tight is probably because your tension is too tight. Try loosening your tension or sizing up your hook! I prefer cotton for crochet clothing

      @@tabithathewholistic Since the slip stitch blo is very stretchy, you can just follow the same instructions as the top version and the stitches will stretch according to your measurements!

      Nope! If you use cotton yarn you won’t have to block it. But if you use acrylic you might have to because it doesn’t have the same drape

    Hi I would really like to make this, but it would be my first big project, all i ever did before was a headband. I was thinking of adding a second thread of mohair and crocheting with both at the same time. Do you think it would be too difficult for a beginner?

      Hi! I think it’s definitely do-able for a beginner since I only really use one stitch throughout the project. But please make sure your tension is loose!! If it’s too tight you will encounter issues

    What happens in the cap sleeve if I have only three stitches on each side at the base of the row
    Do I skip doing one stitch each in the normal row (just before the final 4 stitches), so that I have 4 stitches at the base?

      Yes you can, but the reason why I used slip stitches is so that the top will be stretchy. So if you use hdc you might struggle to put the top on and take it off, it will also stretch out over time and not be a tight fit!

      Depends on the use, for daily wear as a fellow crotcheter I’ll say don’t and use light yarn so it’s breathable for daily wear

      If you’re using natural fibres I recommend wet blocking, but if you’re using acrylic yarn I recommend steam blocking. You can find tutorials for these on RUclips!

      if your hips are big, i would add a few more staggered rows on the edges of the panels where your hips start so it doesn't stretch too much and doesn't ride up too much when you walk.

      Your tension might be too tight, try holding your yarn looser and not pulling at it too tightly. You can refer to the timestamp "slip stitch tips" I hope this helps ❤️

      I would try to find measurement for a women’s size medium top online. Even better, I would use a similar style top in their size as reference so I can compare my work to it. I hope this helps!🫶

      your tension is probably too tight, you might want to size up your hook. hope this helps!

      I have tried with a larger needle but it is worse because the fabric becomes tighter and it is impossible to knit. I have also tried to knit slower so as not to put so much tension but it is the same, I don't know what to do, But thanks for your help❤.​@@stef4788

      You can use milk cotton but depending on the brand, it is actually made up of acrylic and polyester fiber so it won’t be suitable for warm weather. I’d suggest to do some research on the brand of milk cotton you’re using

      @@entertainme3263 it’s because the top is made of slip stitches! It’s super stretchy so it can fit over your head and shoulders easily

      I used cotton yarn so it drapes very well. If you use acrylic yarn you may want to block it but it’s not completely necessary
