Girl, this is just what I need, you read my insomniac mind. This is going right to the top of the Sleepytime FNAF playlist. Fantastic video! I'll totally be looking forward to more compilations in the future too
Ok so my biggest problem with the Crying Child is Adopted "Theory" Is that it's not much of a theory, and more of a headcanon, specifically because It has very little impact on the story if the Crying Child (Dave) *is* adopted, or not. Like you said yourself, a family is not bloodline, and Dave serves his purpose to the story which is getting super hella chomped, and then having no character in the slightest besides crying really hard in a restaurant his dad works at Like Like You're perfectly valid for thinking he is adopted, and I do definitely see your point, but my problem with this is, it doesn't affect anything if he is, and brings no extra context to the actual mysteries or questions we have. HOWEVER It's extremely possible I'm missing something, and if you'd be willing, I'm happy to hear what you've got to say!
I think this is a valid critique I don't have more to add other than what I said in the vid that it would allow him to perform experiments on the child with less care for his well being. Basically, you could make the argument that the child's entire purpose was to be used for experiments, thus disproving the idea that Afton went crazy bc his beloved child died and more because his property was damaged. I see your point that it could have no effect on things, but I'm still going to call it a theory. My headcanons are much less based in evidence and very vibes based/things I wish the series would do.
In regards to theory 3, William is starting to give me Miss Havisham vibes specifically from the South Park episode "Pip" (season 5, an eventually loose adaptation of Great Expectations). I don't know when it starts with him but he really seems to treat Mike as a new vessel for himself more than anything after a point, priming him to be isolated and away from as many other people as possible.
more than once I've considered the possibility of William Afton "body swapping" as a method of staying alive It would play well into the digital consciousness stuff
@ShesNervous Definitely! The more I think about how the ScottGames don't quite fit together as well as the newer games, or with the newer games, the more I think of them as a jigsaw puzzle where the connectors are cut off so it's that much more difficult to put the picture together, and we still might not have the full story. Even if William doesn't want to do a body swap, I definitely think that the Mimic Virus or Glitchtrap saw the end of Sister Location as Mike becoming a vessel for William (turning purple himself), taking after his father in FNAF 6 (buying a pizzeria and running it), etc. even if he was trying to fight it.
I used to have a trick for remembering the cards in the corner times. While editing the video, I'll be listening for that and write a note with the video to link and timecode in a text box that i keep at the end of the video editing timeline on an otherwise black screen (we faded to black at the end of our videos). By the time I'm done editing the video, I have my list as the last 5 seconds of the video and I render. Upload the finished video, go to the last 5 seconds to get all your cards put in right then and there, then trim off the last 5 seconds of the video in youtube's editor and it's ready for release. Our videos were unscripted when I was doing this so your workflow may not accommodate this trick but maybe you'll find a similar hack. This evolved from a system of doing the same thing but with a post it note on my desk, but that became confusing when I started losing them and needing multiple post its for multiple videos...
yeah my plan moving forward is to put markers in the edit so i can just refer back to that spot, but this is also smart More often than not I'm just procrastinating and going "meh i'll deal with that later" until it is simply too late haha
@ShesNervous this is why I moved away from markers in the edit. When you're uploading and making public, you don't want to go back to your editor to find that shit, you just want the video out to your audience and you'll "deal with that later". Putting it in the video itself means you don't have to leave youtube once you hit upload.
hi nervous love your videos but just a suggestion if you continue to make these compilations.. if you could edit out the loud sound effect like after the candy cadet story 😭😭 no harsh feelings just letting you know as a follower
you got it - if I can I'll edit it out in the youtube video editor ty for saying something! I'd debated taking it out since I make a joke about it right after but I would rather the joke make less sense than spook someone out of a chill state or REM cycle 😭
When it comes to Gregory luring Cassy down the the Mimic, I've like at least two people say that. But im a little confused as to how they got to that conclusion. As far as i remember, when we find the mimic it basically kicks and tossed a radio to our feet before sayign something like "I'm Gregory" in Gregory's voice. So i thought that scene was meant to show that it was the one talking to Cassy instead of the actually Gregory. And that it might've taken over communication in the elevator scene before it drops (since there's literally a battery outside the elevator where the Mimic is at and it could just break it or pull the plug. Not trying to be rude or anything, im just genuinely curious as to how someone would get to that conclusion. If you dont mind trying to explain it to me that is😅 also sorry for the long comment
I guess the problem in my case is just poorly communicating what I'm trying to say it's not rude to point out! The debate is whether or not Gregory is the one talking in those final moments, so suggesting he led her down to the Mimic isn't a fair reading of the situation. I'm generally of the mind that Gregory isn't trying to hurt Cassie, but the "problem" with that reading is that the voice files show "GRIMIC" for when Mimic is speaking with Gregory's voice, and that final line in the elevator is shown as spoken by Gregory and not GRIMIC. This leads people to believe Gregory did turn on Cassie. Since the debate exists, I have tried to figure out why he would seem to be trying to help Cassie escape and then change his mind at the last minute. All that to say, I am going to try to be more mindful about my phrasing/explanation moving forward. Thank you for this comment because sometimes when writing I'm skipping over details that need to be laid out for the viewers' sake.
@@ShesNervous That's fair, tho with Steel Wool having learned to be more careful with their labeling of files with the whole Princess thing previously being named Cassidy. it does leave me wondering whether or not they labeled that voice line to say Gregory because he's actually saying it or because they don't want people to know that it was actually the Mimic. those are just my thoughts tho, hopefully we'll get more details about it in a future game or even the upcoming game 😅Thank you for answering my question tho😸
This is what i NEED to fight the insomnia thank you
Hope you get some sleep soon/got some sleep. It takes me a good 3ish hours to go to sleep at night so I feel you.
I feel like RyeToast is the master, while Nervous is the apprentice.
Two amazing theorists who continue FNAF’s Rule of Two.

Nothing like catching some Z's while listening to someone talk about the horrors of the Fazbear Universe. Truly relaxing.
