I already made a video on this topic. But i personally think it doesn't matter which movie Oswald and his dad are watching, it's the general discussion Oswald and his dad have about remakes that is relevant to the overal narrative of the story. I don't think this scene is made by Scott to criticize modern star wars movie, this scene in the book seems to intentionally be put in to foreshadow the ballpit itself. The discussion is about a movie that is a remake of a movie Oswalds dad saw as a kid, even tho the movie is a remake it also takes place in the same universe as the old movie. This directly foreshadows the mci memory Oswald experiences in the ballpit. What we see in the ballpit is a "remake" of what originally happend in 1985, a remake of the missing children's incident inside of the memory world of the ballpit. In this universe (no matter if its stitchline or frightsfiction) both the original MCI and the memory oswald experienced in the ballpit-world both happend, those events both co-exist in the same continuity, even if they are depictions of the same event. Into the pit springbonnie also directly connects back to the discussion about cgi in the modern remake of the movie. The original mci was nothing more than a man in a suit (william afton) luring kids , this could be compared to a practical effect like a man wearing a godzilla suit in old movies to depict a monster. Meanwhile in the "remake" of the mci we see a more organic version of springbonnie. A literal monster with sharp teeth and fangs. It's like the design of itp bonnie is a "cgi version" of what springbonnie would be. In the memory of the event (the ballpit) springbonnie is depicted as a over the top monster while the real event was nothing more than a man in a suit. I think the main purpose of this scene was to set up the ballpit world and to also foreshadow the ballpit actually functions in later frights books.
I'm gonna do a full review after the whole thing of the stichline stories put together, which I think is longer than any of the books, so it's sort of like a bonus book in length, but will only be one video But yeah I'm both excited and scared to be doing this for basically an entire year!
I mean, I don't think the books being contextualized as in-universe books necessarily precludes them from having elements that act as parallels for game events in a meta context. Like, you can do both
The Freddy puppet on top of your head is a physical representation of how FNAF is always on your mind. Or the Freddy puppet just literally an emotional support puppet. 16:33
OH SHOOT YOU ACTUALLY READ MY COMMENT OMG. Hi!!!!! English-Major-to-English-Major brainrot Yeah I'm also a MoltenMCI believer so as soon as I heard the BonBon!Millie theory I made a bunch of memes of like "Sorry Elizabeth you don't count as a missing child" "This is bullshit you let Millie in" "she's our emotional support goth" XD. Also I will say I do think that even if FrightsFiction is canon (which we're personally leaning to at this point, too!), that doesn't disclude some stories from being parallels to things that happened in-universe. Sure, the in-universe authors wouldn't know this stuff, but Scott Cawthon is writing both Frights and the Games. And Parallels/Mirror Characters and Events are a pretty easy staple to establish stuff. [ex: Luz in "The Owl House" relating her situations to Azura's. Azura is fictional in-universe but when Luz narrates her stories, it's clear that she's supposed to parallel her/Amity/etc.] I'm probably just saying this cause I've read all the Frights books and I know stuff like "Step Closer" (and "Submechanophobia" in Tales) is extremely obviously supposed to parallel in-universe stories but yeah lol. And honestly I cannot WAIT for you to have to analyze the seventh epilogue. Hands-down one of the funniest things to happen in the FNaFverse. - Connie
Fun fact : my late uncle, Bob Spiker, was the sandman who jumped off a cliff and onto a Bantha (an elephant in a costume) in the first ever released Star Wars movie
One thing about the abuse allegory interpretation of “Into the Pit” and how/if it relates to the Aftons could be that since William is depicted as purple when he’s “normal” and yellow when he’s “not himself”, the yellow guy from midnight motorist could be an abusive William, who is yellow because he is “ Not Himself”. This does assume that the sprite is yellow, which it just looks like honey mustard to me.
OMG! I was NOT expecting to see my "little" comment given such a spotlight in this video. It brings a smile to my face to see my fnaf ideas being taken seriously. What an honor! Thx GiBi! It's also funny to see some of my evidence taken in the opposite way lol. When I mentioned Funtime Freddy escaping and being recaptured, I didn't think it could be possible for him to have taken such a detour to kill an unfortunate girl in a shed. But I suppose I can't deny that he DID supposedly escape the bunker, and we don't know for how long.. just that "they'd always be put back inside". So it's totally possible he spent days, if not weeks in some old dude's shed before Fazbear recaptured him. But I doubt this is enough evidence to say this story happened in the games timeline tho. Just an interesting idea that the Funtimes could've done certain things while they had temporarily escaped the bunker. Also I suppose I'll have to wait for your thoughts on the Larson part of my comment since we're not very deep into his story yet. I can't tell if I was cooking with that one or burning the whole kitchen down haha. But if I was cooking, then Stitch-wraith kind of being inspired by sister-location phenomenon like Ennard or rotting Mike could be an interesting parallel. Like he's chasing his own demons... (since the Detective Larson part of my comment was cropped in this video ya'll might be confused, so I think anyone who hasn't seen the comment should go back to GiBi's video on Count the Ways and give it another full watch, wink, then look for my comment for that last part afterwards, wink wink, it's a really good video, wink wink wink.) Well now, since I feel like this comment is still lacking in terms of volume to the previous one... I guess I should fill it out with some more fnaf thoughts, yeah? Yeah! ;) It's okay tho, this one should be a quick one. It's more of a general theory I had about Fazbear Frights as a whole. This could be a reasoable agrument for anyone that doesn't believe in Frights Fiction, the theory that the Frights books are in-universe books. To any Frights Fiction doubters that might be reading this; I hope you hear me out on this next section. I don't know if anyone has ever pointed this out before but, I believe the name for the Fazbear Frights book series could be a big hint for it's place in the fnaf universe... let me elaborate; In Help Wanted: The VR game, we're explicitely told that Fazbear Entertainment has purposefully hired game developors to create games to make light of the Fazbear brand's tragic past. Hoping that the rumors would fade over time if they aren't taken seriously. And we're also told that the company keeps this a secret, that the devs are hired by them. And so given Fazbear Ent's track record, it's not only possible, but highly likely that they'd try to pull this stunt in other areas of entertainment too. Take for example, books... or haunted houses..... see where I'm going with this? It can be argued that Phone Dude from Fnaf 3 could've been secretly hired by Fazbear to make a Haunted House attraction about the company's past and try to make light of it as much as possible. Now we don't have any evidence of this of course, but the goal of that attraction still stands; it was to make light of the rumors about Freddy's past. And in Fnaf 3, this haunted house attraction was named: "Fazbear's Fright". Not the same as the book series, "Fazbear Frights", but a similar name... a reference. It's arguable that this haunted house was the first thing in the fnaf timeline that was created to specifically make fun of it's past. And to name the book series as a reference to this very haunted house is a clear signal to me that the books might be doing the exact same thing as the haunted house: to take the rumors going around Freddy's and turn them into horror stories anyone can enjoy and make light of. Thus the writers of the Fazbear Frights books might've just been also hired by Fazbear Entertainment in disguise to discredit it's bloody past. I rest my case... told ya'll it'd be shorter this time. ♥
Hey GiBi thanks for always using "begs the question" correctly. You might the only person I know of who does. It drives me bonkers when people use it incorrectly. Great video
The movie could also be Star Trek (2009). That would also fit with the “seems like a remake, but is actually set in the universe of the original” because of its time loop plot, unless it’s also owned by universal. Plus, “the original used rubber masks but the new one uses CGI” would apply to The Phantom Menace, but not The Force Awakens because TFA famously used a lot of practical effects.
While I do believe William was an abusive parent (neglectful and manipulative if not also physically like in the books), the parallel between mike/William and oz and his dad is more of- dad is the yellow rabbit, a monster that only the sons can see. Noone else saw the monster william was, only the business/family man persona he put out
I'm curious as a fellow Frights Fiction believer what is your opinion on the Into the Pit game and Return to the Pit Interactive Novel (obviously the ladder isn't out yet but the first two are pretty much confirmed game canon so I'm guessing the whole series will be until proven wrong.) I think I'm currently going with the idea that the original short stories are fictional material, and the interactive novel is what that fictional material was based on that actually happened in the games. (Though I don't know how I feel about Oswald potentially reading a book about himself.) The Into the Pit game I could go either way. It's depicted on a TV screen, which makes me think it's a game like Help Wanted. However, there are also things in the game that are different from the original short story, especially the Fetch minigame with Golden Freddy.
Eleanore being a Baby parallel in some way is logical because of her physical description, but something that just occurred to me is the parallel between the fact that Baby’s main goal is to take someone’s physical appearance by forcing her endo into a human body while the person’s consciousness continues on as a sentient zombie held together by mechanical means… and Eleanore’s main goal is to take someone’s physical appearance by forcing mechanical parts into their body and creating an illusion that she looks like them while the person’s consciousness continues on as a sentient zombie held together by mechanical means.

It's "The Thing", when "The Thing" 2011 came out in theaters the main criticism it got was that they put CGI over the practical puppets that were made for the film, star wars has always used CGI in some way shape or form, and while the over use in some movies did cause a discussion it didn't have the same reaction as "The Thing" 2011, everything about that film was discarded because people didn't like the CGI. This also connects to the FNAF movie which used practical puppets instead of CGI, and what movie was brought into the discussion when people knew they were going in that direction? "The Thing" 2011 because they thought the movie would replace all the puppets with CGI, you can thank YMS for that. Also "The Thing" actually has a connection to the story while star wars doesn't, just because that connection isn't talked about doesn't discredit the fact that they are talking about "The Thing". Most of the movies mentioned in all versions of into the pit actually connect to this in game/book story, even Godzilla, in Godzilla humanity is fighting against Godzilla a monster created by the consequences of mans mistakes (nuclear weapons), what is pit Bonnie? A monster created by mans mistakes (soul/remnant energy stuff). How would star wars really connect to the plot? I guess you could say the force is kinda like remnant in a way? Maybe the pit is like a connection to the force? I genuinely can't think of anything else. Either way, not to be snippy or say you're just wrong and theres no way you're right, but all evidence points to "The Thing" so using Sherlock homes own philosophy, the simplest solution is usually the right one.
5:24 In-universe fictional stories can also have parallels to what is happening in-universe without any like magic or psychic knowledge. Think about all the teen movies that open in an English class where the teacher is lecturing about a thematically relevant novel. Or heck, stuff like the wizard of oz and back to the future in into the pit. In my own theories, What We Found and In the Flesh are both Frights Fiction stories, but I also use them for the bias for a headcanon about the Afton family's backstory. 5:47 William strikes Elizabeth in a flashback in The Fourth Closest. So there's at least one version of him that is.
0:42 Does make sense since there's only one cop that believe affton did it in the whole book series and if you play security breach the arcade games are referenced to the book series.
Really excited to see you tackle Fetch. I think it's probably the best single package of a book the series has with its generally good stories and especially foreboding epilogue. Step Closer isn't far behind, but the former's "obviously-the-weakest-story" beats out the latter's.

It was nice to see a somewhat new perspective but imo there's just too many holes/leaps still for me to believe that was what Scott wanted us to take away from it.
@BudgetAthena i can definitely see that perspective, i just this it was a really interesting theory and the things he did connect fit well. gibi has said he likes to see the recs for other videos and creators that are smaller in some videos here and there
I don't believe the movie they're speaking of in Into the Pit is The Force Awakens, but rather the rebooted Star Trek movie(s). Think about it: plenty of CGI, older generations of fans not liking the new films as much, and the Star Trek reboot movies ARE still technically in the same universe, but the new movies take place within a different timeline. And why are they technically in the same universe? It's because Spock from the original timeline TRAVELS BACK TO THE PAST and creates a new timeline by doing so. I don't think that's a coincidence.
I think it’s too little too late, Denon could have implemented stems in a thousand other ways, but they chose to do something that essentially triples the storage footprint of your music, costs $10/monthly, and has to be done on your PC beforehand. Which raises prep time, limits storage capacity, and defeats the purpose of Denon offering “stand alone” solutions. I’ll stick with the questionable quality of my Rekordbox Stems, that I can change in real time on my mixer, live at an event. Denon keeps disappointing left and right. Especially given their issues with their jog platters losing capacitive touch capability. I have $4k in unusable out of warranty Denon equipment just sitting in my closet.
overall we should approach it more from Stichlin's point of view than Frights Fiction why would scott clearly show us the fate of wiliam after ffps if they are not canonical

Hehe, that's me.
I feel like there is a ton of video I should watch before this one, I didn’t watch them since I haven’t played the game itp yet, but now that I have…
I do need to still watch the other ones
Love the Waluigi look.
Gibi! Have you seen the video “This midnight motorist theory changes everything.” By a creator called Cosmo!
It was nice to see a somewhat new perspective but imo there's just too many holes/leaps still for me to believe that was what Scott wanted us to take away from it.
@BudgetAthena i can definitely see that perspective, i just this it was a really interesting theory and the things he did connect fit well. gibi has said he likes to see the recs for other videos and creators that are smaller in some videos here and there
Losing my mind over the hidden secret, I’m not the same person I once was when I started the search
I’ve been looking too but i haven’t found anything, do you have any leads or anything?
@ I’ll never reveal my secrets
I don't believe the movie they're speaking of in Into the Pit is The Force Awakens, but rather the rebooted Star Trek movie(s).
Think about it: plenty of CGI, older generations of fans not liking the new films as much, and the Star Trek reboot movies ARE still technically in the same universe, but the new movies take place within a different timeline. And why are they technically in the same universe? It's because Spock from the original timeline TRAVELS BACK TO THE PAST and creates a new timeline by doing so. I don't think that's a coincidence.
lol chucking the puppet behind yourself
Omg. I am so sorry. I was writing that on the previous video I was watching. Sorry
Liked the video
I'm here to read vicariously through you. Does Toto have any thoughts on the reading material or is he more head empty?
Would you consider doing a room tour so we can see all the things in your background? 🙂

1/16 of the way let’s goooo
Purple guy = hat guy confirmed??
overall we should approach it more from Stichlin's point of view than Frights Fiction why would scott clearly show us the fate of wiliam after ffps if they are not canonical
But have we seen evidence in the newer games (Help Wanted and beyond) evidence of all the monstrosities born from Afton getting evil goo everywhere?
Plus I don't believe Andrew is in the games. We have an Andrew in the games, her name is Cassidy
@@Alkeeros We don't know the role of cassieda in the games for me it's the name c.c
because it fits MUCH BETTER than just another victim in golden
additionally things like UCN which is the old plot and SB which is the new plot
confirm that some events CERTAINLY happened and they confirm Stichline additionally Return to the pit is coming out which is 90% canonical and MCS rewrites the history of Stichlines
Because he never calls him William. It's just a mystery man whos fate doesn't even line up with game cannon, hell it could be Michael, after enard leaves him, his body is taken to the hospital and then disappears, another misinterpreted piece of the stitchwraiths (or going by frights fiction Michael's) story.
@TiredMoonRabbit No, we get information later in Stichlin that it was William, at the beginning we don't know who he is, later when the plot moves forward we learn the rest of his story
I seriously think you could get 10x more views if you made more catching thumbnails! The substance is amazing but it’s important to every RUclipsr to have captivating thumbnails
I've never been good at thumbnails
@@HorrorHomestead checking on other peoples thumbnails and seeing what sticks would be great.
I know you don’t like the “I solved” thing, but you could put questions and things that still catches your attention like
“I found this secret” or “could this change everything?” I don’t know, I think it could greatly helps you
JUST IN TIME!!!! YIPPIE!!
I’m starting a boycott to any and all videos that have “solved” anything in FNAF. I expected more from gibi but here we are
Somebody didn't watch the community update video where he responded to this.
To you. Specifically lol
I'd love to hear your thoughts on a video Cosmo recently put out. He showed up out of knowwhere and dropped one of the most convincing Midnight Motorist theories I've seen.
That the video where we have to be believe a black-out drunk Afton managed to get into the springlock suit by himself, dig a hole without sweating and getting sprung, and make 2 trips on the highway without getting into an accident or being pulled over?
Edit - I realized that can read a lot ruder than intended lol
ok. question, and i do agree with what i have to say. what is the truth about fnaf 1-6(?) if tales fiction is true? because if the steve snotgrass games are real, then so is fazbears frights. if the books aree the same as help wanted then either both are real or both are fake. i currently belive help wanted is telling us that something happened but it is not supernatural.
I feel like there is a ton of video I should watch before this one, I didn’t watch them since I haven’t played the game itp yet, but now that I have…
