- The dress Marilyn Monroe wore to sing 'Happy Birthday' to President John F. Kennedy, Jr. in 1962 is up for auction and is expected to sell for $3 million in November. The form-fitted, nude dress features 2,500 crystals and was designed by Jean Louis and Bob Mackie. It was so tight she had to be sewn into the dress. The current owner is a private investor who bought the dress at auction in 1999 for about $1.3 million. Monroe died less than three months after she gave that performance. #InsideEdition

This dress should be in a museum. I would absolutely love to see it in person. Honestly it's selfish for anyone to keep that for themselves. Hopefully it ends up in good hands with someone who would take care of it and appreciate it. Marilyn was & still is legendary.
