The scene of wilson on amphetamine is probably the most realistic media depiction ive ever seen. I know that house did have actual doctors as writers, i wonder if that was their handiwork.
Personally, amphetamine actually lowers my heart rate. Then again, 50mg of it would make me high as hell and probably elevate it. My resting heart rate is 90-100 to begin with.
@Foggydidwhat this comes from someone who uses amphetamines prescribed by a doctor. Wilson was acting exactly the same way I was when I first started my prescription. I just appreciate an actual realistic depiction since most fall flat

Ironically if there was a reliable way to cure psychopathy psychopaths would never take it. For a psychopath, being offered a way to feel guilt for all the horrible things they've done would be like being offered something that would cause you chronic pain for the rest of your life.
I do not remember all the details of the episode, but the psychopathy wasn't "real". Thirteen met with the patient's sister who revealed that the patient suddenly "became" that way while they were kids; their dad was abusive and the patient shielded her sister from the abuse, but it changed her as a person. So Thirteen realises that the patient isn't a real psychopath: psychopaths are born that way but the patient "became" one as a teen, which meant that the psychopathy was a symptom. The patient had Wilson's disease, which because it attacks the brain can generate behavioural changes and psychiatric symptoms (they had another case on the show, a woman who was diagnosed with schizophrenia but it turned out she just had Wilson's disease and it affected her brain). So basically in this video, what happens isn't a cure for psychopathy; it's the cure for Wilson's disease that solved her behavioural change. The patient had to take the cure in order to avoid dying. There was also a whole moment when Thirteen told her husband that the cure may not solve her psychological symptoms (but as it turns out, it did).
Fun fact: Olivia Wilde and guest star Beau Garrett, who appears in the segment Remorse, both starred in the sci-fi movie Tron: Legacy (2010) as Quorra and Gem respectively, but didn't share a scene together.

That pulse monitor Wilson put on his finger has some weird readings......And how could supposedly 'brilliant' doctors not know that muscle damage is a LEADING CAUSE of elevated CK?????
All doctors always have a 2nd person, a nurse or another dr in the room when examining intimate areas on a patient. This is done to protect themselves from a false SA accusation. No way is any dr examining his patient alone for intimate areas. Toes nose, ears, mouth, knees, etc... all fine.
