This video has been so incredibly helpful, so thorough. I especially loved that you cut access holes in the back for the lights. I see too many conversions covering up essential areas!
Super glad I found this video! The closed cell rubber appears to be the solution I was looking for!!
I would have liked to have seen the area above the doors before you added the foam also really nice ceiling looks great
4 way stretch carpet would remove the need for the foam underneath. Big gaps can be taped with gaff or foil tape to bridge holes before applying the carpet. It's super forgiving material and easy to hide joins etc.
Nice job guys, I learned a lot.
great quality video. well done with the project too
Thanks! We really appreciate it!!
Thank you very helpful
Glad it was helpful!!
Hi there. Those tail light panels have been designed to provide significant venting - is there a concern that the foam and fabric will completely cancel the needed air flow behind it? I had put sheep's wool insulation behind these panels and ended up with moisture accumulation to the point that the light assembly shorted out. I needed to replace it.
I covered the holes with foil tape prior to foam.
👍
Awesome!!! I love it!! Do you have a link for the closed cell foam please?
Here is a link for the foam. We got black but they have white as well.

@@NomadicVisuals Thank you!!
Great video, thank you for sharing it! How much of the foam did you have to purchase for the job?
Thank you Will! We used 3 rolls of the foam - here’s the link amzn.to/3CXQmGs. Let us know if you have any questions.
@@NomadicVisuals Hi there, what Spray adhesive did you use? I have used spray adhesive and had it melt through fabric before.
@@NorthwestLights206 hi! We used 3M high strength spray adhesive. We got ours at Lowe’s.
where did you get the foam with the adhesive backing?
We purchased it off Amazon and purchased the 1/8” thickness ones. Here’s a link.

How much fabric did you use?
Hey! Sorry for the delay. We purchased 2 yards and had just a little bit left over.
