Have to transplant plants to give more room. I’ve had to make my bed longer at each end just to have places to put the plants. At 62 yrs. Know I want to keep the garden as simple as possible. Thanks for all your videos, helps me to know what I can cut back and what I just need to move. You have a beautiful garden. Love your paths❤
I spent time cleaning up a municipal bed as a volunteer & dodged the rain. Came home to do my own and it's rained off and on since. Forecast is rain for next few days...so will be quilting until I can go out to 'play'. 😉
You did a remarkable job. Here in southeastern Michigan, we had a flooded yard in June, a severe drought in July and I got Covid in August. September another four weeks of no rain. Needless to say, my yard became a “hot mess.” I am still symptomatic with coughing. So I just pulled out all the annuals and cut back every perennial. They need a chance to make it through this awful season here in Michigan. Thank God for our beautiful Autumn. The trees and shrubs are always breathtaking with their beautiful, vibrant colors.
I really appreciate the clean up videos. I'm not really that great at weeding or clean up, and I get discouraged and reall unmotivated, so I spend evenings looking up RUclips videos of garden cleanup and weeding so that I can get motivated and encouraged to get out and do something in the mornings. I'm in zone 7a in oak ridge tn, so it's still warm here, so I won't be going out for cleanup for another couple weeks, but I'm already trying to get motivated about it so that when my weather is cooler, I will be motivated. Long story short, please continue posting your clean up videos, thanks!
Transplanting & moving plants around my yard. I'm finding out how horrible my soil is, which is so disappointing because at 60, I don't move like I use to! Your clean up looks wonderful.
I am cleaning up for fall. Although I live in coastal southeastern NC, zone 8b, it’s time to clean up. Some beds just look like weedy messes with declining annuals poorly performing perennials, and of course weeds. Spotted spurge is a very invasive weed in my beds. I may have to put down a pre-emergent to get some control back. Control, haha! I have also given up on some plants because the wildlife make the success of that plant nearly impossible. This year the deer and rabbits ate nearly all my sunpatiens! Bed by bed, I am re-evaluating my plants. I live in the suburbs of Wilmington, NC, and I have NEVER had the critter pressure like I have here. Good luck with your fall chores.
I read some where to wrap the green tomatoes in newspapers in a dark cool spot. They turned red. Next time give it a try. You are motivating me to clean things up for winter. 😊
Hi, have you considered a vertical planter for your strawberries? I had the same problem of critters and slugs eating them before I can harvest them as well as the runners running amuck everywhere in the garden. I bought a Green stalk to try it out next year before I completely give up on my strawberries.
No gardening today in Florida. Waiting to see what the hurricane decides to bring us. Praying for the west coast and thankful to be on the east coast.
Hopeful you are safe.

I have to thin out two garden beds. The plants really grew well this year.

I hope you start feeling better soon and can garden, even if for a short period of time! Hang in there!

I’ve been transplanting plants all week. My back is killing me 😅😅
I’ve started to clean up here in PA and see what needs to be moved around.

Let me know how it goes! I am afraid the critter would dig around in that too.
