Just the reality this year for our gardens, thanks for showing the beautiful with the not so lovely plants here in late September. Your garden is providing me with a lot of inspiration, it’s so well designed and pretty!
Greetings from Kansas City. August and first half of September has been bone dry but thankfully this last weekend gave the garden 2 inches of rain. It feels like Fall now with temperatures in the low 70s. Your garden is always beautiful. Mums are looking fantastic 😍
Sorry about that drought. It's been the worst in sixteen years. My garden is very similar to yours. Can't water enough to keep it going. Lack of water is sure hard on gardeners. Thanks very much for the videos.
I live in the Memphis, TN area, zone 8a or 8b, not sure which anymore. We struggle with lots of humidity, heat, draught, gully-washers, chewing insects, powdery mildew and fungus. HA!! But, I still love to garden. I've had to pull quite a few plants because they were just worn out and looking crummy. I do have quite a few mums that are coming back from last year, some of which have gotten so large they've crowded out some of their planting bed buddies. I enjoy your channel and your garden is beautiful!!! I also really like your new fence; it's given your beds a whole new look.
Very dry here in Lexington KY. Temp today 90 F. Love the color of mums and the purple I think might be sedum. Good job. Love seeing your lovely plants and placement. Still loving the boots from Bogs.
Your garden is always beautiful and i get so many ideas. 😊 i love being able to see the changes throughout the seasons. We were hot and wet in MN for most of the summer, and so many of my plants had fungal diseases, it was quite frustrating (and then the japanese beetles, of course!). Now it's been hot, dry, and windy, haha. I've spent a lot of time watering. But, some plants have thrived, so it also gives me a better idea of where to make little changes, as i start the fall shuffle of plants. 🍂
I hope you got more rain than the 0.03" we did here in Iowa City...the line of rain split and went north and south of us :( I'm keeping my asters, mums and Japanese anemones watered in hopes of the plants holding onto the flowers longer. At least it has turned cool!
Hey Solei!!! Plenty of life still going on there !! I understand !! Im depressing already over blah winter. Swore i would never try winter sowing again BUT 🤦♀️ Im mid east coastal. Couple plants havent faired very well . Think worse issue was kittens using them as a litter pan. And Ants !! Had whole row of Sunflowers take. And disappear . Swear the Ants ate them. Three survived my insect spray drenching. Gonna be getting me more Butterfly bush, Gardenia , Hollyhocks, and Coral Geraniums next year . Theyve performed the best for me so far. I was happy with Canna lilies but they ALL did horrible this year. Grew half way and not one flower !! Other peoples around here flowered. Well i guess ill suck it up and get prepared for winter 🥶
It’s the time of year where the gardens are preparing for dormancy. Still lovely gardens you have. Thanks for sharing. What is the burgundy grass with the tan plumes in your front garden bed?
Soleilさん、こんにちは。 I also like Black Prince and planted it in the spring, but as you know, it did not survive the summer due to heat and humidity. I will change my mind and start working in the garden this week. I will be planting a lot of Coneflower inspired by your video.
Looks very nice! We've had a historic drought in Ohio this year. I water my garden constantly. It's also been brutally hot all summer. 90 degrees today. Supposed to rain this week finally. What is the tree directly in front of your house?
@@Suburbanoasisyour home gardens are beautiful and I love that all the little areas have names. I was going to ask about the orange mums aswell as I remembered in a video of yours that you have a plant tag binder. I guess I am not in luck this time 😄, thank you for the video.
Your garden still look so beautiful I love getting ideas from you like planting the Mums in the ground 🙏🏼😇👌💯🌹

Glad to hear you finally got rain!
Your garden is gorgeous! I think you can make your flower beds larger to add more foliage.
I love letting trees and branches naturally decay. It gives it an earthy feel to the garden and it represents the full circle of life.

The Bogs are such good quality. 👍
Warm, windy, no rain here too. We have not had much rain for over a month. Most of the garden beds are dying back and don’t look so good.
I hope the rain finds you!
Time just fly by it's already fall but your garden still look amazing
Thanks!
Yes my garden was definitely looking tired, finally are getting some much needed rain!! Your mums are gorgeous 😍
Your garden is beautiful. I’m hoping to add to mine now that I will be retiring.
Sounds wonderful! Enjoy your retirement!
My garden is looking tired as well. Love watching your videos.

Enjoy the fall shuffle, I know I am looking forward to the cooler temps to get some things done finally!
Enjoy your sister's party. Last night storms and 1 1/2" rain after weeks of no rain here in PA.
Yay! Glad to hear you got rain!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
A little sprits here and there... we really need a good soaker here in PA :(
I hope you get it soon!
Beautiful ❤

We still have a few months of fall to enjoy!

What is the burgundy grass with the tan plumes in your front garden bed?
That grass is purple fountain grass. It is an annual.

That tree is a Green species japanese maple. I grew it from about 10 inches tall over 20 years.
My daffodils are pushing up. Im shock. I don't understand what's happening. Your garden is beautiful as usual
Wow, even the bulbs are confused!
I love your mums..
Why don"t you water? Is there a water restriction there?
No water restriction, just have to hand water so it take a bit more time than I have usually.
I love your orange mums, any idea what the name of them is?
I am not sure, I didn't save the tag!
