Raise life points to 20,000 and then give us anime effects and the OCG ban list..... It would be a lot more fun to play in duels like this. Its quite stupid to play "seasons" of 1,2 and sometimes 3 decks only, which become obsolete every coming year....
This was a duel for the ages. Even more impressive than everything we've seen on the show. Time can pass, the game evolve, new generations of duelists with new modern strategies will come and go, but in the end, these two will always be the best of the best.

Look at when Kaiba vs Yugi in dub vs sub. look at Kaiba vs Siegfried dub vs sub. Look at any duel dub vs sub lol. Dub Kaiba's personality is slightly changed as well. Kaiba isn't as stuck up or douchey as the dub incarnation, and actually develops as a character towards the end (although it's small development)
Couldn't they have given Kaiba ONE real victory over Yugi? Just one? Even Joey has an implied victory and Rafael had a real convincing one that would have been two had he not lost his cool and used the Orichalcos and while he's a great character he's had 3 duels in the show. Hell even the movie in which Kaiba was supposed to be the main character Yugi ends up saving the day. I know it's his show but it's like DB Resurrection F where that should have been Vegeta's moment but it was given to Goku.

Man, i saw spoilers and the duels are really short. leaked a video yugi vs kaiba from the movie, i dont know if you saw, but the duel started 2 turns before the clip. Super short. this duel was what i wanted see in the movie. consistent deck and extra deck in action. The yugi deck from movie, meh. cards nothing to do. I think they make the movie thinking more in Dilmas ($$$). Magician Girls (Dmg deck) + silver/gold gadgets (to use with ancient gear) + giant sentry of stone (magnet warriors) + new gaia (to use like spam rank 7 deck) + sacred celtic guardian (treated ever as noble knight. Really?). Yugi has great cards but none know do a consistent deck.

If Clear Kuribo "negates" the "activation" of the dragon's effect then why didn't Kiba get his 1,000 life points back since the dragon's effect essentially never happened?
theres a semi colon in every card text that tells you when the activation cost stops and the resolve effect is whats after the semicolon once per turn: target one card and detach 1; destroy that card. if you can negate the activation then they still must pay the cost

Wait I'm confused. I know I haven't played this game in about a decade but I thought the last card in the chain activated first? If Clear Kuribo "negates" the "activation" of the dragon's effect then why didn't Kiba get his 1,000 life points back since the dragon's effect essentially never happened?
Cost are always paid no matter what, even if said card is negated itself

theres a semi colon in every card text that tells you when the activation cost stops and the resolve effect is whats after the semicolon
once per turn: target one card and detach 1; destroy that card.
if you can negate the activation then they still must pay the cost

rompadompa doobelidoo Yep😆. 4Kids may have censored their animes one thing they had in common with dubbing studios in Texas like Funimation and ADV Films and that is voice actors and voice actresses. People have said that New York City Area voice actors and voice actresses are just as good as the ones in Texas for Funimation and ADV Films.
