Ikr. People hear "homemaker" and are immediately triggered. That's how sensitive we've gotten as a society. As if there was something wrong with a woman (or man, for that matter) taking pride in and responsibility for her home. I've known about Butker for a few years and I have a lot of respect for him. You can't be Catholic and pro "choice." We believe ALL life from natural conception to natural death should be protected. I was all for the death penalty but I've been taking another look at that. May Our Lady of Fatima pray for Butker and Biden.
Mary is the awesome mother of our Lord and Savior, but she is definitely not to be prayed to! The scriptures are very clear about Jesus being the ONLY path to the Father. He emphasized this many times in the NT to protect us from idolatry, blasphemy, and ultimately, ...damnation. I used to consider myself Catholic, believe me, ...I know. As far as capital punishment goes, that is a tricky one, for me at least. The OT certainly endorsed it's just usage, but the gospel seems to indicate a change toward mercy. So until I get a definitive answer from the Holy Spirit and scripture, I'll play it safe and stick with life sentences with no parole and let God sort 'em out in the end...
