I can't believe your mom was all up on that ladder, too! We shared so many adventure stories, but she forgot that little one 😆. I am 55 now i swear as im getting. Older i fall down all time i broke my arm really bad couple years ago had a cast and surgery. I swear not kidding fell again next day broke my flipping leg. Tge older i get the more i fall down

I’m with you Nadia lol. She is so fun. I wish I had a mom like hers too. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mom, but I always wanted this relationship with her. I wanted my mom to be my bestie. Not just the mom .. so I smother my husband to death, and now after years and years he cans and pressure cans with me, and then takes all the credit😂 he is so fun so it works.

Just bought my first home with an acre! So much to do! You can’t even imagine how much you have inspired my 21 yr old daughter. I’m the gardener. She wasn’t. She is now growing little avocado trees from the pits. A couple days ago, after watching you process tomatoes for your ketsup, she decided to make an apple crisp with an online recipe with apples that were starting to go bad so they wouldn’t be wasted. This is big. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and inspiration to a whole new generation. May God bless you and your family. ✨💗🙏🏻🌱✨

Having grown up in a dis functional family with no Mother’s love it warms my heart to see your relationship with your sweet mom. I agree with you. Our mom was there but not a very nurturing mother. Our day taught us to iron,cook a few things. Other than that I bought a cookbook when I was on my own and followed the directions in the book.
I see where you get your lovely attitude from, Becky......your mom is delightful! You couldn't make coffee but you both surely made "lemonaide"! Out of a stressful situation!

I noticed in your last video that your mom had locked and closed the door BEFORE asking you if you had the keys! This is so me!! I can absolutely relate to climbing through windows. .. in my own home no less. Us scatter brained folks are just to busy thinking about the great mysteries of the world to worry about such trivial things as keys. Great minds Mom! It's a blessing and a curse!

I used the seed block maker this year and absolutely loved it. It was my first year doing more than a salad pot and tomato plant. I had an amazing germination rate using the blocks VS what my husband planted in cups, pods, etc. It was a huge difference.

Having lived in VA 3 times…it was fun seeing the historic landscapes and buildings through your eyes. The Homesteader conference looked like a wonderful place to be. Such neat vendors and wares! The Air bnb needs to get a coffee maker of some kind! I would be lost without my coffee in the morning! I am glad you had such a wonderful Mother/Daughter time!

Maybe bring a fench press and a small zip lock of coffee on trips...just in case. Trying a new one out that's not glass
You should make sure you pack some of your freeze dried coffee & creamer in your purse for coffee emergencies like no coffee at the cabin!!!

Becky, This was the first year I use soil blocks and it was a game changer!!!!! I have the mini and the 2” soil blockers. Love them!!!
In the last video I noticed how your mom said you had to lock the door when she walked out then you had to look for them in your purse only to get to the door and she had already locked it 😂 I said to myself “they’re going to lock themselves out while on this trip” Glad you guys enjoyed your time together though!! I was just happy to see that Becky didn't go up there, being pregnant and so far along. It is quite easy to see where Becky gets her spunk and spirit.
My mom had those same dishes because they were advertised as unbreakable. My 2 rowdy brothers took this as a challenge.... If you frisbee a plate on concrete, you could shatter one and get grounded for months at the same time! Lol
The chairs are mid century modern. They’re super cute. Very popular right now.
I wasn't sure if they were mid-century or craftsman style. I guess they would be chunkier if they were craftsman, tho...

I used small soil blocks this spring loved it. I didn’t get the next size up so ended up moving into 3 inch pots and had more trouble once moved up. I will be getting the next size up this year and look forward to starting even more plants and flowers with them. Getting the soil right can be tricky but it’s not difficult in any way. 😊

I used the small soilblock this year and really love it. It’s surprising how large the plants get before they need potting up. It’s nice to not be restricted to having the cells to seed in.

I grew up in VA, and I have so enjoyed watching you explore my neck of the woods. Your excitement over Washington's office made me giggle. I guess I take that type of history for granted. This whole series of videos has been so great!
Also with soil blocks, you can grow them in 1/3 the time. I grow my flowers and veges for my retirement nursery. LOVE THEM!!
