Never had a problem with LUX thermostats, parents had one installed new 20 years ago when they got a system still worked but upgraded them with a newer LUX with a backlight. Main thing is with them there is so much adjustability, had a complete new system installed at my house over winter with Central AC added and the Honeywell's are junk if your house is not 100% air tight, it tries to keep it at +-.05 degree with no way to adjust it was turning the system on every 5 mins. The LUX allows the temperature differential from - 2 + 2 and works perfect house is set at 74 goes up to the high-end at 75 then brings it down to 73 before it turns off. System was on eight times an hour before now only 2. Just got a Wi-Fi version works good and keeps track of how many hours your system runs a day in the smartphone app.
HEY john watching the same video again I m homebound with a cold in July in Florida weird ah Greetings from S Fl i have respect for your Work Ettics I was raised like it.Few guys on the field still believe in the old ways BCC system i like eventough i dont drink First day of class Instructor said You guys gonna learn how to do Super heat and Subcooling by the end of the course and avoid using BCC system........i was the first Spanish guy to work on AC Co . in West Coast of our state can you imagine . Thanks for sharing this video because of this video I found out why my heat wasn't working the switch was turned on for gas. I had called someone to come out to see why my heat wasn't working but he never showed up i tried to get thus person to come out for three days he never came so I started troubleshooting things my self by the way I am using my husband's account I am a woman again thanks for doing this video.
Pro 1 had issues with their thermostats a couple few years ago so I quit using them. But recently they have worked the bugs out and they are very good thermostats. I’m a Honeywell guy but I don’t like the new t series. I love the focus pro 5000 but Honeywell discontinued them. But I heard recently that they are bringing them back due to high demand. If they do I will go back to it
@@johnisraelhvac2019 the problem we had with the pro 1 thermostat model t701 was that in cooling mode the only way it would cycle off was to keep the bedroom door next to it closed and i believe it was because of the draft coming from under it
We are not laughing about ur Crocks. We care to show the Ac newbies to wear proper Shoe Protection like Oil and Electric Resistance...Water proof....and Steel Toe OSHA approved like Red wings or even Walmart with Approved Federal ok ......its only my 2 cents but I see lot of guys in flip flops doing AC work and I lost respect for not following Standard Shoe Protection Procedure....if I m an inspector one day I ll tell the guys on the field get good shoes or No Work here in this Job Site ,.....that a how the Union Teach us😁tnks John
My outside unit kicks on but my blower fan doesn't sometimes it does sometimes It doesn't sometimes I have to lightly tap the blower and it will kick on help south texas heat

I have that thermostat. Mine reads “LO” and the AC wont go on. It says room temp is at “75 F” but it’s much hotter than that.

had you checked that on V,... would that be VDC? for like 3VDC?

Was the wiring diff because it’s gas or did you just use a jumper y-w ?

We hax the thermostat that you put in on the video but for some reason it would not function correctly so we replaced it with an aprilaire 8444

When you checked resistance on the thermostat pins, you were testing y to common? Supposed to be checking y to red.
