    U wanna have "fun" & party with girls, stay in Thailand. It's one of the best place for that on planet earth. But if u like a more calm place, very family-friendly, multi-cultural city/place, Malaysia is the place. Also English is very widely used in Malaysia and u'll get views from Malaysians on youtube without having to provide subtitles

       @v.4789 I've been everywhere in Thailand. The problem with u is u don't understand generalizations. Can people party with girls here in Malaysia, sure. Can u have u great family life in Thailand, of course. But if u ask anyone that has been to both, the obvious difference between living in Malaysia & Thailand is what I mentioned. Malaysia is predominantly muslim nation (more than 60% muslim) therefore there's no obvious "culture" of getting & finessing foreign men here. Are there parties here, yes but there's no "partying" culture here. Morally, locals (both for muslims or non-muslims) are pretty strict here, GENERALLY SPEAKING. Also tax on alcohol in Malaysia is very high therefore drinking is expensive here. "Partying" here is pretty costly compared to Thailand. Btw I've been to ChiangMai, Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya etc, and it's a common sight to see foreign men trying to pick up local girls or local women trying to finesse these men. Nothing wrong with that but u don't commonly see that in Malaysia. Yo I even speak Pattani dialect fluently because I grow up in North East Malaysia and u know what men here do when they go to the bordering Thai towns? I think u can guess.... but that doesn't mean one country is better than the other. It's all about personal preferences. If u are more conservative and want to have a family and don't want your kids to be exposed to all the pickup culture, "red light district" and sexual freedom stuff, Malaysia is a better choice. If u don't give af about that and u like enjoy your life and apply YOLO principles, Thailand is way better. Nothing complicated in what I'm saying here

      Yes Thailand is definitely more fit for anything nightlife, party, or casual hookup related. I will say though outside of the main tourist zone in any part of Thailand, you don't actually see any bar girls or any of this nightlife stuff at all, so I think it would be viable outside of the party zones to raise kids also. I think Malaysia also definitely has upsides especially the English speaking part. I've also only experienced KL so far, haven't seen even a fraction of what is out there in Malaysia. I think in general you're right that if your values are more in line with Malaysian beliefs, it could be a better fit to raise family there. One thing that really bothers me is that a lot of people try to push their beliefs on others and like to bash the other countries/races, I haven't seen something like this anywhere else I've been, it's a bit much and one of the main things that put me off of staying long-term. People here in the comments make all sorts of judgements about me and everyone else in Thailand for example, for no reason reason other than that some of their policies don't align with their religious beliefs. You're completely right one country is not any better than another. Some Malaysians see this as extremist liberal beliefs, but in reality it's just human etiquette and treating people as equals regardless of their culture, upbringing, sexual preferences, and lifestyle choices.

    • @TeleeFONE
      @TeleeFONE 4 месяца назад +14

      The reason why Malaysia has overtaken Thailand as no 1 tourist destination spot is because of the family factor, people can bring their family to travel to Malaysia and it is cheap, English being used widely and modern city, where else Thai is not very suitable to bring family, especially if you have kids. That's the advantage of Malaysia, people will say too islamic and too conservative, and now this basic protocol, has lead to a good thing, very family-friendly, affordable place for family vacationing. Thailand great for singles and parties, while Malaysia for families, over time the number multiplies and it works in Malaysia favours, as families of 3 or more vacationing to Malaysia, overtakes the number of singles tourists vacationing in Thailand.

    RUclipsr like KenAbroad used to stay in Thailand and does video around Thailand and indochina for 2 years, but only when he moved to KL, his channel followers and viewers start to booming significantly. The key is English is widely spoken in Malaysia and easier for youtubers to garner such followers and viewers. Malaysian girls take longer time to date particularly with foreigners, as they’re not into one night stands. Don't waste your time in Malaysia... clearly it's not for you...Malaysia is for those who are going to settle down formally with a good career and it's a perfect place to raise a family... standard of living and quality of life in Malaysia is top notch and not suitable for those who are less matured in thinking...think of living in the proper suburban in the US, it's the same, as commitment is a big thing here... though you have more stretch using the USD,do not expect to have a garden of Eden here unless you have a good vision of life by investing it in the real economy....also there is no place for digital beggars and jobless backpackers here.. go back to Thailand and satisfy yourself with your casual way of life... money wise, if you're run out of it, put an effort to look for a simple part time/full time job in Thailand,for example as a bartender, delivery guy or whatever it is to ensure your monthly bills paid off, while you're enjoying the party and getting high occasionally... Yeah because Malaysia isn't as white worship as Thailand and other ASEAN countries. If you want that experience of being treated like a king among locals,youre not gonna get that. What you will get is treated as equals.
    The good thing of Malaysia is that its multicultural meaning that your family is able to assimilate into the Malaysian fabric easily. You cant say the same about Thailand or Philppines or Vietnam.

I think YOU as digital nomad without long term visa, here is what I would do for at least a year in SEA region. 3 months tourist visa no need to border run in Malaysia then into Indonesia visa on arrival for 30 days with additional 30 days extension for Xtra $35,that gives you 2 months in Indonesia. At the same time,obtaining Vietnam 90 days visa. Return to thailand for 30 days visa free or do border run a few times. You see get 3months Malaysia +2months Indonesia +3months Vietnam +3months Thailand , the rest 1 month anywhere including back to the US. HOW IS THAT PLAN? Too many white RUclipsrs in Thailand and no more new content left, always bangkok, Pattaya, chiangmai, pang nga.

      @benfishermin  4 месяца назад

      I’m not sure if I wanna stay in any one place for 3 months straight really. Motivation goes down and it’s hard to keep content fresh, things start to feel less exciting. In general the 3 months visa on arrival in Malaysia is really great, and it’s too bad Thailand doesn’t have this and I only get 2 months, although I could do a 90 day tourist visa if I applied for it. Indonesia I just got stuck there for 2 months while renewing my passport which was rough, even though that was bali and there are many other parts of Indonesia I can visit, viewership is very low there. There are a lot of people vlogging Thailand because the overwhelming popularity. I do want to focus on creating more unique vlogs while there, I no longer really want to vlog about a specific landmark, park, area etc, so let’s see what I can come up with. Vietnam I will 100% be visiting in the near future too. Overall people vlog Thailand because it gets views and RUclips pays very high $ for those views compared to anywhere else in SEA

After you pick up more subs, move on, and many will stay with you. Right now, you need a grow my audience strategy... 10K, 25K, 50K... When you reach a sustainable size you can focus on other things. Thailand English speaking population is X, Malaysia is 100X, same with Philippines. I would recommend other English speaking places, but they are expensive. I’ve had so many people tell me not to go to Manila, that you don’t get good value and that after Bangkok it will not feel quite as good, but I’ll still go and experience it to see. I do notice a lot of vloggers who go there for a while end up deciding they need to stay to get anywhere near the same kind of views. I’d be concerned with the super low $ from RUclips on Philippines audience staying for long term. I’ll go and see what happens. Yea I definitely need a waterproof case for Songkran! East Malaysia offers a unique experience with its diverse ethnicities, exotic islands, and rich cultural heritage. In Sarawak, the majority race is the Dayaks, while in Sabah, the majority race is the Kadazan-Dusun. The lifestyle in East Malaysia is more laid-back, and the people live in harmony, embracing their cultural diversity. Sarawak is renowned for its delicious layer cake dessert, while Sabah is famous for its fresh seafood. The reason why Malaysia has overtaken Thailand as no 1 tourist destination spot in South East Asia, is because of the family factor, people can bring their family to travel to Malaysia and it is cheap, English being used widely and modern city, where else Thai is not very suitable to bring family, especially if you have kids.
    Singapore on the other hand, I got a feeling will loose its spark, it is a very small country, everything and vacationing spots is getting repetitive and dull, and to make it worst, it is 1 of the most expensive city in the world, everything is too expensive, even hotel rooms. Vietnam I got a feeling will rise to be 1 of the top South East Asian tourist spot in the future, it is developing fast and the people are intelligent, Philippines, Indonesia are in contenders to be top vacationing spot in future as well, both countries are contenders to be great.

    Just got back from Beijing, another beautiful chaos ! The insane amount of people over there !! So much to see, so much to do, but just not enough time. Great weather, and it's now springtime, with colorful trees all over the city !
    Beautiful !
    Been to other cities in other SEA countries too... but, meh..... not worth mentioning. lol. Planning to go to the far east next year, Japan and South Korea.
    But, I'll be going to Bangkok again in a weeks time, and Cambodia in two months time.
    So.... we'll see.

    A happy and healthy paradise on Earth is free and you have to do a minimum of maintenance to survive. Donating money to love and care is to love Malaysia. With a little help, in the future, we can be a camping paradise with good people, year-round summer resorts, music, food and beverages from all over the world, so that families, friends, lovers, etc. can come to love Malaysia with zero stress. The new and second coming "Messiah" has not yet emerged following the total eclipse of the dark phenomena seen in the alliance of experiments and experiences in America.

    Think It will be better of in Malaysia Ben because to many utubers doing pattaya.i think the visa situation is easier in Malaysia than Thailand with the reporting to immigration every 90 days in Thailand u have to do .dating is no good in Thailand the bar girls are not good prospect to purpose in Thailand without giving them loads of money for family ect.dont forget Westerners not allowed to work on a tourist visa and that includes utube so Malaysia for me Ben .

      I’d say there are a lot of RUclipsrs doing Thailand content, including Pattaya, I think because it pays so high for the audience it attracts (US, UK, Australia, Canada, EU) and there’s so much interest at the moment. In regards to dating yea Thailand is not good at all for this, too money focused with Thai women. Staying in the country also difficult. For now I will keep traveling around while keeping my stuff and a long term rental in Thailand, but not forever

      @@benfishermin good for u Ben was reading up on Malaysia last night and u can stay there without a visa for 3 months so alot better than thailand.after 2 months stay in Thailand u have to leave then come back or apply for a tourist visa then u need 400000 baht which is 10000 dollars in a bank account so over all Malaysia better to stay long term .Thailand u can't even work if u get a tourist visa so it's a place for retirement and holiday for a month 2 months with the extension but long term stay difficult one of the hardest places to stay long term .

    Malaysia alot to offer, same as others SEA country. Because most those others country have what you like beach, Island, nightlife etc2. But if need to think and focusing/building your career/social media /networking, I think Malaysia is the better choice. Not only because English 2nd language but generally the opportunity to have connections with government, private sectors etc2 is more easier in Malaysia. Malaysiaan always open big hands to welcome foreigners to Malaysia, Trurly Asia.

    Try Jakarta Indonesia, not the easiest city to get to know, if you have the right attitude and be open minded, it’s a great city to explore. I found the people friendly and interested to get to know you. I dated a few Indonesians, had a lot of fun and just as open as Thais/Filipinas. The educated Indonesians seem more worldly wise compared to other SE.Asian countries. Has over 17,000 islands, the largest archipelago in the world, over 275 million people, the 4th highest in the world. Lots to discover! Definitely you should visit George Town on Penang island, Malaysia, even more options regarding food choices! Has lovely beaches too. Then there’s Langkawi, beautiful island 🏝️ That reminds me of Hawaii 😊

      I used to disregard Jakarta because of people talking about just how polluted and busy it was, when I used to live in bali. It’s probably more about those people being island folks and not liking the city. I’m definitely curious to check out Jakarta. People usually seem quite interested in Jakarta content too, more than bali I’d say. Indonesian people are great! Yea next time will be visiting Penang and langkawi both 💥

    This is what I view Thailand and Malaysia.... In Thailand anything goes that including green leaf, alcohol, bars, bargirls whatever you want to call them, drunk stoned westerners (though some small numbers of asians), those things are displayed right in front of your nose. Beautiful beaches, relaxing atmosphere and attitude nobody cares about what comes tomorrow. Malaysia on the other hand attracts more family oriented travelers with more conservative views on partying and drinking culture. I am Chinese and I have noticed since Malaysia granted Chinese tourists visa free for 30 days, more and more Chinese tourists chose to visit Malaysia instead because I heard from some middle-aged Chinese tourists are not comfortable with green leaf openly for sale in every corner. Also due to the fact many Malaysians speak Chinese wheather it's mandarin or Cantonese. We may not understand malay, but at least they are latin alphabets and we can pronounce them, whereas thai characters are totally different. In other way, Chinese feel more comfortable in Malaysia. Chinese tourists comprise almost 1/3 of total visitors to thailand 🇹🇭 in 2019 and Thai government tries to attract them more. The prime Minister of thailand is directing his tourism Minister to steer away from attracting backpackers alike with shoestring budget. Moreover, overall air quality in Malaysia is much better in most places in Thailand, especially in Saba and Sarawak. However as single man with no family attachments, Thailand may be better fit. ❤❤❤
