To be fair "Lead the way " and "tiny troubles" already got unrealistic because of getting so few troops and not being able to retreat and drop a bomb on some places. They still were interesting for showing conventional tactics, and I think it's really cool to see where and when you have to depart from those and say "okay this is really dangerous, here is the best that can be made of it".
Speaking of realism, I'd like to know just what those buildings are made out of. Nobody ever shoots through them or hears suppressed gunfire on the other side of a wall.
@@kenhagler7166 Forgotten Weapons took the MP5SD out to the range and it really isn't louder than him talking, but yeah not much quieter either, so 7m is too short. Maybe it's to account for the lack of deafness / hearing loss mechanics, which could be interesting, but tricky to implement. Wall penetration would be reallly cool to see, especially with the SCAR-H etc. I don't know if it would be realistic but I like the idea of having some indigenous allies in some missions, like they'd follow orders but only have the kit they came with (AKs and frags mostly), so you figure out how to equip your rangers to make up for that, and decide where in the mission to "make do" with the allies.
@@val26874 Also, the mechanical noises are more noticeable than speech. A few years ago my downstairs neighbor started working at the range I shot at. It turns out he could hear it through the floor whenever I operated a gun for loading/unloading/dry fire/etc. even without any actual gunshot--just the sound of the action working. Sounds from talking didn't carry through, though. Presumably because of the frequencies involved.

6:47 You probably know about this, but when you were setting up the southern assault team, if you would have pressed left ctrl+rmb (if you do it there should be blue arrow) instead of shift+rmb (purple arrow) they would have maintain the angle you have set them to look at all times (unless somebody start shooting on them from angle that they can't see) sou after he peeked and started moving to the west you would have keep looking forward instead of turning his back like he did here, it is pretty usefull for peaking corners like this, when you want to continue, or i absolutelly love this function when i'm trying to move for example 4 man team in diamand formation through the open you know or through the long corridors, one man facing forward you can this way tell the guys to keep an eye on the flanks and it't best for maintaining rear security because if you do the ctrl+rmb then he can always cover back of the unit and still move with them and you don't have to micromanage him, anyway really good video, this campaign is just a mess and this is one of the easiest missions of the campaign, but i would like to see the rest of the campaign done by you because it would be pretty challenging i think
Definitely my favourite series on RUclips, always buzzing for the next upload! Hope to see you go through all the missions, really enjoy seeing your take and thought process behind everything!
Honestly, yes, this mission isn't as realistic as some of the others, but there have been some really insane rescues, like one in Libya I think, where they tried putting a TOW in a window and then rushing to regain control of the embassy. Didn't work, and they had a lot of deaths
I don't know how I originally found your channel, but I am thuroughly enjoying your playthrough of this series... So much so, that I purchased the game and have been having a blast using my own CQB experience to play through the game. I will say the Extreme Hostage missions get pretty insane. And they only get more crazy from there. It gets to the point where you have to combine your experience while exploiting the game mechanics against the game to succeed. Still a really great game, and again, really enjoying your playthroughs as well as your other videos. Keep it up, brother! -R
8:39 if you had done your usual environmental assessment you might have noticed that the truck is hauling explosive material lol. And yes please keep making these vids. I’m interested to see you apply your tactics in more difficult situations.
About to watch, was already watching another video when I seen this was added 12 minutes ago. I’m pleasantly surprised how entertaining and engaging these videos are, the professionalism in your commentary I think really sells it.
I love both sides, both the "analytical" and realistic scenarios, but also seeing how you adapt to situations that are just plain bad or gamey. Watching you solve problems is mainly why I'm here. :)
Got the feeling the extrem rescue doesn't fit your formula so good. Maybe some of the missions are interesting but definitely not all of them. You can shine the most in different missions. Maybe as a mix up from time to time.
@@ControlledPairsGaming Yeah they have the original DK vibe but hostage rescue and bomb defusal are both common and unenjoyable Edit: look forward to binge-ing the playlist soon, don't have time right no tho!
Nice, I had some tries on this, and worse to come. I use wall breach more than you in all scenarios to lower the risk (not in this scenario). And also the L key for low speed so you can figure out whats happening. Especially in the large scenarios when you can't have a full detailed view without scrolling. Keep it up, I watch them all. Much more rewarding than the 2min clips with one plan solution they obviously had to use hours to figure out.
My friends and I really love your active commentary for what you're doing, and why. It's technical, but personable and fun. Your insights are clever, and can be extrapolated and applied to other situations. Is there a place for considering other doctrine, such as OODA, The Art of War, etc.? I would be really interested in hearing your take on how you think other doctrines play out in these situations! The more analysis, the better, for me anyway! :D
Hey CPG, just wanted to say that you can make use of hotkeys for commands including the sniper. Also, if you look into the controls menu you will find a slow mo key. if you look at the patch notes you can also see a keybind to spawn a soccer ball that has real physics. Almost at 50K, keep it up
BTW, I forgot to mention that Shift F will toggle stealth on/off for all friendlies, If they are stealth, they will go loud, and if they are loud-stealth.
Another great video! That mission was really hard! You can change the game files to keep the dead bodies on the map if you go to this file path and change the text. File path: [Drive]:\Users\[User_Name]\AppData\Local\KillHouseGames\DoorKickers2 Open up "options.xml" and change "keepDeadBodies="false" to "keepDeadBodies="true"
I find it more enjoyable to see you be challenged and have to think on the fly. An unrealistic scenario doesn’t mean you can’t apply the correct methodology and adapt in order to overcome.
This mission is usually guaranteed to devolve into chaos so I can't fault you on that. When I cleared it I had two units back up a little from the bus so they could throw flash grenades over into the cluster of enemies, which was synchronized to when my remaining units peeked around the bus to take down the bulk of them, then it's just a matter of clearing the convenience store.
In the extreme rescue series I think the "Embassy siege" is the only one that can be done using purely realistic tactics, the best for me, the others vary from "very difficult to complete" to "Just die and retry till you succeed feast". The operation Subjugator campaign could suit well to your playstyle too and they dropped a new update with a new campaing called "deck of cards" with HVT villa mission, would love to see you try it Either way I would still watch your videos as they are really entertaining
I like how more mil sim try hards are clearly watching your videos. Just a month ago you were making comments about the plausibility of games vs real life and good natural giving the “sweaty mil-sim try yards” a little flak. Now we are asking questions on how whether you should be taking on missions that are not realistic. Love your work keep it up.
I can’t wait for you to get to some of the later levels because shit gets nuts. This game is so much fun I love it and what’s cool even tho it’s gets gamey u can still use tactics or just improvise and have fun
If nothing else I'd love to see you try the Embassy mission. It's "extreme" (lots of enemies, really tough) but it also felt super-technical with the tight corners and cramped hallways, and complicated sightlines in the latter half. Some of the other crazy insane missions are also fun because they introduce a special operative that can work the backend of a situation quietly while your assaulters pour on the heavy fire from the frontend.
For extreme rescues, the hardest mission are the one with timer, as for this one I failed many times but I was able to finally push in by throwing flashbangs while at the same time sending my assaults.
Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure when I played this the flashbangs would set fire to the jerry cans and couse the fuel tankers to explode and kill the hostage. Instead i figured out if you just litter the place with smoke you can set up the guys nicely to just clear the street as soon as the smoke clears. Then use more smoke to extract the hostage and once he's safe, litter the shop with grenades (sorry civillians). Gave a pretty nice low risk solution.
This one was a favorite of mine for some reason when I played it. Another good one is the Fergie mission where u can control an extra person like an inside man

This one was a hard one for me the first time. But if you use the sniper on the exie. 2 flashes of to stunn al the enemy’s and then send 4 troopers in, you can take them down really clean. Then you just swipe the building clear
I don't know if you know but hitting "x" i believe allows you to change sniper targets. Plus you can engage with the sniper as soon as it begins changing from red to green as long as the red line is aligned with the target. It can act as suppression if the sniper misses and you fire too early. Either way great video.
